Joseph Patrick Nannetti: Italian born in Ireland, foreman of typesetting office of "The Freeman".He is also a member of the House of Commons of the British Parliament and a member of the Dublin City Council. Jay Jay O'Molloy: Lawyer turned down with tuberculosis. Lenehan: Racing columnist for The Athletic, who molested Molly. O'Madden Burke: Friend of Stephen, journalist. Flynn: Nicknamed "Big Nose," Bloom's friend. George William Russell: pen name A·E·, Irish poet.He was one of the directors of the still living Irish Renaissance movement and served as the editor-in-chief of the "Irish Home".

Thomas William Lister: Quaker, Director of the National Library of Ireland. John Eglinton: Originally named William Akpatrick Magee, a critic in the Irish Renaissance movement, who debated with Stephen in the library. Richard Owen Best: Deputy Director, National Library of Ireland. John Millington Singer: One of the leaders of the Irish Renaissance movement, a poetic dramatist, and an acquaintance of Stephen. George Moore: Irish novelist, acquaintance of Stephen.
