The timid rose bristles its thorns Docile sheep with scary horns And the white lily will with sweet love No thorns nor horns to adorn its glorious beauty The modest Rose puts forth thorn The humble Sheep a threatening horn While the Lilly white shall in Love delight Nor a thorn nor a threat stain her beauty bright
