Chapter 48 To—(There is a word that is often profaned,)

Selected Poems of Shelley 雪莱 163Words 2018-03-20
To—— There is a word that is often profaned, I have no intention of blaspheming again; There is a feeling of being falsely despised, You will not come to despise too. There is a hope too hopeless, Why do you need to be more careful! Your mercy is unmatched, Warmed my heart. I can't give what people call love, But I don't know if you will accept it What reverence can this heart offer? Even the Lord of Heaven will not refuse! Like a moth to a star, And as the night seeks the dawn, This kind of longing for the distance, I have already jumped out of the plight of the world!
