Chapter 37 Important Controversy in the Midrib

Meditation and Immortality 南怀瑾 1024Words 2018-03-20
When it comes to the "central vein", it is another very interesting question. As far as I know, regarding this issue, there is a debate on whether the "Chung Vessel" is tangible or invisible between the two families of "Tao" and "Mi". " question.Secondly, there are also arguments that only those who really practice "Tantra" can understand the "central channel"; the original Taoists did not know the existence of the "central channel", so the practice of Taoism is not the ultimate and so on. The debate on the understanding of "Zhongmai" between "Tao" and "Secret" is really a misunderstanding. If they only talk about the "Dan Jing" Taoist scriptures after the Song and Yuan Dynasties, they can't talk about the "Zhongmai". . The "Neijing" already has the theory of "Chongmai", but the name in the "Neijing" is just called "Chongmai"; the Zhonghuang in "Huangting Neijingjing" is mainly "Zhonggong". , but there is no special emphasis on the "central channel" like "Tantra" and "Yoga".

After understanding this concept, when we study the orthodox alchemy in traditional Chinese culture, there is no reason to think that the "du channel" or "ren channel" is the "central channel".Therefore, it is not necessary to try very hard to defend it.After the Song and Yuan Dynasties, many of the "Dan Jing" are just one-sided opinions, one-off theories, and one family's opinions, which are not enough to summarize the whole circle of orthodox Taoism. This is a fact that must not be misunderstood or misunderstood. If the so-called unblocking of the "eight meridians" of Taoism does not reach the actual state of "concentrating the Qi and thinking of peace", or even "the Huang Zhongtong Li, right in the body, beauty in it and smooth in the four branches", it is completely empty talk. It is even more impossible to understand the true opening of the "Zhongmai".

If the effort reaches the "Eight Meridians of Extraordinary Meridians" completely opened up, and when there is a state of "being in harmony with Qi", then there will be what Zhuangzi calls: "falling into limbs (no feeling of body limbs), removing intelligence (absolutely no delusions), Leaving the form to know is the same as Datong, which is called sitting and forgetting.” At this time, the function of the “Shunmai” is activated, firstly there is the feeling of extending up and down to the boundless, and naturally presents the clear sky state of “thousands of miles of blue sky without a cloud”.Even, no matter day or night, the sky full of stars appears in front of your eyes, just like "watching the nunnery in the palm of your hand".All the usual perceptions and feeling states are forgotten together, and the worldly concepts such as right and wrong of everyone are completely far away from dissipating.

But the opening of the "central channel" does not mean the completion of all Dao fruits.Strictly speaking, getting through the "central channel" is just a solid foundation for entering the Tao.Since then, the future has become more subtle and profound, and more careful efforts have to be made.It is true that there must be an enlightened master to guide us.In addition, before opening up the "central channel", of course, it starts with the smoothness of the left and right channels, but the smoothness of the left and right channels cannot be achieved only by "yoga" breathing qigong. The proof of the appearance of a person who has really opened up the left and right channels can be known from the complete state of the head and neck, the flatness of the two major arteries on the left and right of the neck, and the symbol of a circle in the neck.Otherwise, it will be empty talk without real meaning.

This concludes the main principles of meditation and the two Qi channels of "Tao" and "Secret".After that, I will gradually break down the details of the various relationships between meditation and Taoism, and describe them separately.
