The first theory of Qimai in Chinese Taoism begins with Zhuangzi’s "Health Preserving Master" in the book "Health Master" and puts forward the concepts of "following supervisors as scriptures" and "centering at the meeting of the scriptures". The second channel is the main point of practicing meditation. In fact, apart from the two channels of "Ren" and "Du" as the main channels, the most important thing is to use the "Eight Extraordinary Meridians" as the central system of all Qi channels. However, the Tibetan "Tantra", which evolved from the traditions of ancient India, has a method of cultivating energy channels that is almost completely different from that of the Chinese "Taoism".It is based on the "three chakras and seven chakras" inside the human body. The so-called "three channels" refer to the three channels in the left and right; "seven rounds" refer to the seven main parts from the fan point to the perineum (seabed) (as shown in the figure).

Practitioners who are preconceived from "Taoism" often abandon the theory of "Tantra"; practitioners who believe in "Tantra" often regard Taoism as a sect.Little do they know that the theory of qi channels in "tantra" and yoga includes the five elements of qi, such as upward qi, downward qi, middle qi, left qi, and right qi, and the functions of the five Buddhas. The Taoists before the Wei and Jin Dynasties said that they practiced alchemy, and they also paid the most attention to the importance of the five elements and the five color qi; That is to say, it contains the hints of the five elements. After the Song and Yuan Dynasties, although Taoism only used the "eight meridians" such as "Ren" and "Du" as the basis for its alchemy theory, it still paid equal attention to and utility of the left (green dragon) and right (white tiger) meridians. Pay attention to.If someone learns, interrogates, thinks carefully, and discerns the directors of each school, he will know that in the progress of meditation, after he really gets through the two channels of "Ren" and "Du", he will naturally discover the differences between the left and right channels and the central channel. important. If the left and right channels and the central channel are not really opened up.It is an absolutely impossible delusion to enter the real "Zen", which is what the Taoists call "concentrating the mind and gathering energy" and "refining energy to transform the spirit" into the realm of "heaven in the sky".In other words, after the "reception channel" is truly opened up, the so-called left and right channels in "Tantra" and "Yoga" will naturally flow smoothly without hindrance. It's almost the way."At the same time, there is hope for the long-term vision of opening up the central vein.

Now let us look at the distribution routes of the eight extraordinary meridians in Chinese Taoism.According to the records of Huangdi Neijing and Nanjing, they are summarized as follows: (1) Governor Channel: There are four distribution routes of the Governor Channel: (1) It starts from the perineum, distributes upward along the spine, reaches the Fengfu point on the back of the neck, enters the brain, ascends to the top of the brain, descends along the forehead, and reaches the nose column. (2) It starts from the lower abdominal cells, goes down to the genitals, perineum, passes through the end of the coccyx, obliquely around the buttocks, and enters the kidneys. (3) Start from the inner canthus of the eyes, go to the upper forehead, the top of the head, enter the collaterals in the brain, and then go down to the neck respectively, and go down along the sides of the spine to the middle of the waist. (4) Go straight up from the lower abdomen, pass through the navel, go up to the heart, enter the throat, go up to the cheeks, go around the lips, and reach the central part under the eyes (see the picture for distribution).

(2) Ren Meridian: There are two distribution routes of Ren Meridian: (1) It starts from the Zhongji point four inches below the navel of the lower abdomen, goes straight up to the throat along the midline of the abdomen and chest, then goes up the cheeks, and enters the eyes through the face. (2) It runs through the ridge from the middle of the cell and goes upward on the back (see the figure for distribution). (3) Chongmai: There are five distribution routes of the Chongmai: (1) Qichong acupoint from the inside of the Shao abdomen superficially two inches outside the pubic bone, merges with the Kidney Meridian of the Foot-Shao Meridian and goes upward (one inch outside the Ren Meridian), reaching Diffusely diffuse in the chest. (2) After the pulse is scattered from the chest, it goes up to the nose. (3) The pulse qi is infused under the kidney from the abdomen, and the qi rushes out shallowly, enters the popliteal fossa along the inner thigh, passes through the inner edge of the tibia, and reaches the back of the medial malleolus, reaching the sole of the foot. (4) Run obliquely downward from the inner edge of the tibia to the tarsus, and distribute in the cells of the big toe (5) from the lower abdomen; run inward through the ridge, and run along the back (see the picture for distribution).

(4) Daimai: Daimai originate from the 14 vertebrae, under the flank of the season, and circle around the waist and abdomen, approximately equivalent to a circle of a belt (see picture for distribution). (5) Yang [Zhu Qiao] Vessel: The Yang [Zu Qiao] Vessel originates from the Shenmai point under the lateral malleolus of the foot, goes upwards along the lateral malleolus, passes through the lateral aspect of the femur, distributes at the flank of the elbow, runs along the lateral side of the shoulder, along the neck, It goes up to the side of the muzzle, reaches the inner canthus of the eyes, enters the hairline, follows the ears, reaches Fengchi point, and enters the brain from Fengfu point between the two tendons at the back of the head (see picture for distribution).

(6) Yin [Zu Qiao] pulse: Yang [Zu Qiao] pulse originates from Zhaohai point under the medial malleolus, runs along the medial malleolus, the medial side of the femur, passes through the genitals, travels to the chest, enters the face along the throat, and reaches the inner canthus of the eyes. Then go up to the brain (see picture for distribution). (7) Yangwei Meridian: The Yangwei Meridian originates from the junction of all Yang meridians, that is, from the Jinmen point under the lateral malleolus of the foot, goes up along the lateral thigh, reaches the side of the waist, obliquely goes up the shoulder blade, and distributes to the back of the upper neck. Behind the ears, to the forehead, and then to the top of the ears, to the Fengfu point on the back of the neck (see picture for distribution).

(8) Yinwei Meridian: The Yinwei Meridian originates from the junction of all Yin meridians, that is, Zhubin point five inches behind the medial malleolus, goes up along the inner side of the legs and thighs, enters the lower abdomen, goes up to the chest, reaches both sides of the throat, and connects with any Meridian pulse (see picture for original text and distribution).
