Don’t take Huatou as: Does a dog have Buddha-nature?This is small talk.Here, the present Buddhadharma is the big problem, the Huatou.

The Buddha said: I love all sentient beings, just as I love my son, which is equal to the love of Datong Zhisheng Buddha's sixteen princes.But the children are disobedient. They have money in their own family, but they don't want it. They just run around outside. The father had no choice but to sew an orb into each child's clothes, and when he was too poor to eat, he found it and made a fortune. This is the kindness of the father. Venerable Kassapa said: You are so merciful and merciful that you stuffed the treasure in our clothes, but we were so stupid that we didn't know it.This is the source of the well-known allusion in Chinese culture, "The poor man wears pearls in his clothes".Everyone has wealth, but they don't know it, so they become poor.This is another topic.

What are our clothes?Our flesh, born of our mother, is our clothing.It's a fake house with treasures inside. How to find "beads in clothing"?The fourth volume of the Lotus Sutra, the eighth chapter of the Five Hundred Disciples tells you - "Inner Secret Bodhisattva Practices".Chinese Taoism talks about "borrowing falsehoods to cultivate the truth".Without the dress, there's no way to find out what's real.This thing is the "inner secret", the inner secret walk, the "inner secret Bodhisattva walk," the secret of the secret, to find within oneself.

"External manifestations are shravakas," shravakas Bodhisattvas often appear as monks.The mental behavior of the sravakas is "fewer desires and distaste for life and death".Bodhisattvas above the eighth stage of Mahayana can achieve absolute desirelessness only when they reach the realm of Buddha. "Satisfaction with few desires" is the practice of dhutanga.So everyone, don't make too many demands on those who become monks and practice sravakas. "fewer desires" It is already difficult, and "satisfaction" is even more difficult. "Satisfaction with few desires" is one of the precepts of the Shravakas.Sravakas are "disgusted from life and death", while Bodhisattvas are "not afraid of life and death".Therefore, "fewer desires and distaste for life and death" is the ultimate result of the actions of the Shravakas and Arhats, such as Master Han Shan.

"In fact, it is a pure Buddhaland." The Saha world where Shakyamuni Buddha lived is a place where all saints live together, both pure and dirty.But the Buddha said: I am here is the Buddha land.Why do we have to focus on the practice of "little desire and disgust of life and death" before we can reach the land of pure Buddha?This is the journey of the inner secret, what is the inner secret?Another topic. Never forgetting is hard to let go of loneliness and pain, self-pity, rain, loneliness, sorrow, and severe illness increase in late autumn. Literature has a great relationship with practitioners' certification.When it comes to view, practice, and vows, the dharma of the world and the dharma of the world are the same.After the prosperity of Zen Buddhism in later generations, if you want to comment on a person, you should first look at "vestique and consciousness".There is no great deed in anything without a vision.There is a close relationship between instrument and consciousness.The instrument is the wish, and the knowledge is the view.Li Houzhu's poem is very good, but it's not like the emperor's poem, it's like a sour literati's poem.

Several descendants of Tang Taizong became monks.Before Tang Xuanzong came to the throne, he was a little novice monk. Because Wu Zong wanted to murder him, he had to sneak into Buddhism.The posthumous titles of emperors in history were Xuan, and they were all great, such as King Xuan of Zhou, Emperor Xuan of Han, and Emperor Xuanzong of Tang. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty had a thorough understanding of Zen. He and Zen Master Huangbo were classmates and disciples of Baizhang.Zen Master Huangbo knew that he belonged to the royal family, but when he did something wrong, he still gave him a stick.The two have such a relationship.Once, the two went on a mountain tour together, and when they came to a waterfall, Xuanzong said, "Let's write poetry together!"You make the first two sentences first, and I will take the last two sentences.Huangbo made:

Thousands of rocks and ravines work tirelessly to see where they come from. When people compose poems, they inadvertently spit out their own views. Huangbo later became a generation of great Zen masters.How did Tang Xuanzong pick it up?He said: How can the stream be kept alive, and eventually the sea will be the waves. Huangbo immediately gave him a slap, fuck you!Little monk, you are no longer a Buddha.The two sentences Xuanzong answered are of the emperor's style, and he also inadvertently revealed it.This bald head is temporarily shaved and cannot keep me. I will end up as waves in the sea.Tang Xuanzong had other good poems at that time! The sun and the moon pass over mountains and rivers from their shoulders and look into their palms. Describing the realm he realized through practicing Zen is also the style of becoming an emperor later.Now turn back to the Lotus Sutra. The story of the poor man’s pearl in his garment is over. The Buddha did not tell you how to find the pearl in his garment. This is the “inner secret Bodhisattva practice”.Notice!Parents put a pearl on us, if you can't find it, you deserve it!Where is the father?After passing away, the old man doesn't care about you.If you look at the order in this way, you will find that the arrangement of the Lotus Sutra is very brilliant. Volume 4 of the Lotus Sutra, "Records of People Who Teach Learning Without Learners" ninth: "Learning" is to practice precepts, concentration and wisdom.Arhats who have reached the four fruits have completed their meritorious deeds and attained the fruit position, which is called "no learning".The Buddha called his disciples, both educated and uneducated, to come before him, and he gave them a prophecy, and said: "There is no difference between the true Dharma and the like Dharma." Buddha Dharma is the truth, and it exists in this world forever.The Buddha said that after my death, there will be no Dharma, that is just a convenient way of saying, it is not righteous. According to Yijiao, there is no such thing as the Dharma, the Dharma, or the Dharma-ending age.The truth is eternal and unchanging, but we need to find out by ourselves.Therefore, those who "have no education" become Buddhas, and those who have "education" also become Buddhas. Then I will talk about the tenth part of "Dharma Master's Class". Anyone who spreads the righteous Dharma of the Lotus Sutra is a great Dharma master. "All productive activities are not contrary to reality." This is the foundation of Mahayana.Immediately afterwards, the Buddha said: The mage is the great medicine in this world.This is another topic.According to the teachings, the Buddha is the king of medicine, able to heal all diseases.good!Heart diseases can be cured, but can physical diseases be cured?Shakyamuni Buddha did not talk about this in the teachings. He himself showed his illness several times, indicating that he was sick.For example, in Nirvana, it means that due to asceticism in the snow-capped mountains when I was young, I suffered from wind and cold, rheumatism came out, and I got back pain and Nirvana.He's dead, he's already lying in the coffin, but he can show you his feet! Are you saying that it is okay for him to not die?Can!It's a pity that Ananda didn't keep him.Before he died, he asked Ananda (he was represented by Ananda): My time is coming soon, but I also have a way to live in this world forever and keep my form. What do you think is better for me?Ananda was silent, lost his mind, he was silent.After a while, the Buddha asked Ananda again: My time is coming, what do you think about staying in shape?In this way, when I asked Ananda three times, he remained silent.So the Buddha announced: one day Nirvana.At this moment Ananda burst into tears.The Buddha said: I have asked you three times, but the demon blocked your mind, and you did not answer once.Why did the Buddha want Nirvana? "Buddha seed arises from dependent conditions." This condition is wrong.Buddha said: Forget it!The fate is over, so I have to leave. Although the Buddha is gone, his four great disciples remain in this world.The first one is Kassapa.The second one is Venerable Bintulu.Venerable Bintoulo is invited now, he will still come, but you will not know until he leaves.Maybe he's here too!The Buddha's son Luo Hou Luo is the third.The other is Jun Tu Botan.They are all ordered by the Buddha's will to live in this world, and they teach in various identities and forms in this Saha world. Why do we stop here?Because this has something to do with Medicine King Bodhisattva, but this scripture cannot find this reason.So this classic seems to be nothing, but it has many problems, and it is all Huatou. Buddha tells you, where is the medicine: "If you want to live in the Buddha way and achieve natural wisdom, you should always make offerings and receive the dharma flowers." If you want to live in the Buddha's Dharma and achieve fundamental wisdom, what you have comes naturally, not given to you by anyone. , is available to everyone.Everyone has it himself, and he has to find it and "achieve natural wisdom."How to achieve it?It is often necessary to make offerings to those who accept the Fahua Dharma.It's Fahua again - flower.Why did Shakyamuni Buddha pick up flowers?Why is Venerable Kasyapa smiling?Important classics talk about flowers everywhere. What is the reason for this? After this article is over, the focus of the Lotus Sutra comes, which is the famous "seeing the pagoda article".The tower is the tomb, the treasury.When the Buddha was preaching, a pagoda sprang out from the ground, and a Buddha sat on it, who became a Buddha a long time ago, before the dust point kalpa. (The word "dust point" is the initial number in mathematics, the point before zero is the beginning of the return of the sun.) This Buddha is called Duobao Tathagata. Many Treasures Tathagata beckoned to Shakyamuni Buddha, the door suddenly opened, asked Shakyamuni Buddha to come in, and allocated half of the seat for him.This is also a big problem!Both are Buddhas, so they are divided into half seats.Then, other bodhisattvas came from all over the place.If this story is only about academic theory, it can be used as an analogy, but if it is really about cultivation, it is true. Duobao Tathagata can be said to be the Incarnation Buddha, the Sambhogakaya Buddha, or the Dharmakaya Buddha; it can also be said that Sakyamuni Buddha is his Incarnation Buddha.Dharma, retribution, and transformation are three in one.Those who practice the Zen line, at best, attain the realm of the dharmakaya.I can boldly say that there are so many people in Zen Buddhism who can achieve the three kayas, and there are not many in the past one or two thousand years.Because it is easy to go to the realm of the Hinayana when learning Zen, there are quite a few people who just get a little bit of Dharmakaya and then run away, and this is the case with Shariputra.But now it can be like the last words of Bodhidharma: "There are many who reason, but few who practice." That's not bad, and later generations will not even have this kind of reasoning.If we really want to learn Buddhism, we should pay special attention to this point. Let me tell another story. Zhang Shangying, the prime minister of the Song Dynasty, studied Buddhism, worked in politics, and realized Taoism.When Zhang Shangying was seriously ill before leaving, he told his son and son-in-law: I tell you, the Lotus Sutra said that the Pagoda of Many Treasures Tathagata sprang up from the ground, and half of the seat of Many Treasures Tathagata was given to Shakyamuni Buddha to sit on. Not academic.After speaking, he threw away the pillow, stretched his legs and walked away.Originally, he was sick and lying on the bed, but when he was about to leave, he didn't want to lie down, so he threw the pillow casually and hit it on the window. There was a loud thunder in the air, and he left.The words he gave to his family at the end of his life prove that his son and son-in-law are also practicing Zen. The so-called gushing out from the ground, this "ground" is when the mind-ground method really reaches a certain state, the vacuum creates a wonderful existence, and the things that emerge naturally, this is called achievement, and it is built into a seamless tower, which is the Maitreya pavilion of the Huayan Sutra .The pagoda has no door, that is to say, no door is the Dharma door mentioned in the Lenga Sutra, which is not reasoning. When sitting in meditation, to achieve calm and pure thoughts, that is only the beginning of the sixth consciousness state, and the method of mind and ground has not been touched yet.There are two poems written by monk Guanxiu in the Tang Dynasty: "Cultivation does not reach the unintentional ground, and all kinds of things follow the water." I also thought of a poem by Du Xunhe. I am not teaching everyone to learn poetry!In the poem, it is Zen, that is, Buddhism, and it talks about cultivation, and this is the whip. Du Xunhe was born in the troubled times of the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties. His poem said: Limen's name is Lu Yu Wu Ping, a hundred-year-old short-flame lamp in front of the wind. I'm afraid that if you don't want to be a monk, you will lose everything to a monk. Everyone should pay attention, real practice requires real reflection, fame and fortune are not easy to get rid of; I said it too politely, it is not easy to get rid of, it is impossible to get rid of it!After removing the fame and fortune, the word "practice" in the practice of attainment is a bit decent, but this point has not been removed, it is not decent, it is not decent! At this time, it entered the twelfth stage, "Divadatta". After Duobao Rulai gave half of the seat to Shakyamuni Buddha, it was lively, and Bodhisattvas from all directions came.The Buddha of the Eastern land also came. The first disciple of this land is called Zhiji Bodhisattva, which means the accumulation of wisdom.The first disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha is Manjushri Bodhisattva, the first in wisdom. As soon as Zhiji Bodhisattva came here, he told his Buddha: Let's go back!The Eastern Buddha said: Slow down!You haven't seen the pure face, you haven't seen their pure land. At this time, Manjushri Bodhisattva came out of the Dragon Palace, and the Bodhisattvas on both sides saw that they looked really extraordinary.Bodhisattva Wisdom Accumulation then asked: "There are many sentient beings who are diligent and diligent. Can they quickly attain Buddhahood by practicing this sutra?" He said: "Your Saha world is full of suffering. Are the sentient beings here easy to save?"The implication is that the sentient beings here must be difficult to save. Representative Manjushri made a speech: I just came back from the Dragon Palace, and the Dragon King has a princess, "The first year is eight years old, with a strong root of wisdom." Pay attention to this sentence! "Be good at knowing all living beings' karma." She knows the thoughts of all living beings, and she can also know the behavior of each living being from life to life.Having "obtained the Dharani" and mastered the Dharma door, it is to grasp the main points. "The profound treasures spoken by all the Buddhas can be accepted and maintained." This refers to the achievement of wisdom.As for kung fu: "Deeply meditate, understand all dharmas, and arouse bodhicitta in an instant, and you will not retreat." She had a sudden enlightenment at that time, and reached the eighth ground of non-regression Bodhisattva. "There is no hindrance to eloquence, and compassion to all living beings is like a child." This is the compassion of a bodhisattva. "Full of merit and virtue, mind, thought and speech, subtle and vast, compassionate and benevolent, will and elegance, can reach Bodhi." Why did I excerpt this paragraph?In order to let you have one more example of learning Buddhism, because every sentence contains insights, practice, and vows. As a result, Zhiji Bodhisattva did not believe it, because according to Buddhism, no woman can become a Buddha.The body of a woman with five omissions still has five obstacles: "One cannot be the king of Brahma, two is Indra, three is the devil king, four is the wheel-turning holy king, and five is the body of Buddha." So Manjushri called the disciple Dragon Girl: Baby, be good, come here.After seeing Duobao Tathagata and Shakyamuni Buddha, the dragon girl presented her most precious orb.There is a saying in Chinese culture, "The Pearl of the Lilong". It is said that there is a pearl on the dragon's neck, which is her lifeblood, her life, and the essence of her cultivation. .Buddha Shakyamuni accepted it quickly, and he would consider whether to accept other people's offerings!The dragon girl said to Zhiji Bodhisattva: "Deeply understand the appearance of sin and blessing, and shine in the ten directions." It means that all people's sin appearance, blessing appearance, good appearance, evil appearance, and various states of mind can be clearly seen.Wisdom and wisdom shine everywhere in the ten directions. "The subtle and pure Dharma body has thirty-two appearances." Everyone's nature has thirty-two appearances and eighty kinds of goodness. Everyone is a Buddha, and he is a Buddha in the first place. But you haven't found out the key here. Is there a difference between male and female? "With the eighty kinds of goodness, use the adorned dharmakaya." In the Lotus Sutra, the thirty-two signs and the eighty kinds of goodness are the signs of the dharmakaya, not the sambhogakaya.In other words, Longnv refuted the Bodhisattva's wisdom accumulation. "I have heard Mahayana teachings, and I have liberated all suffering lives." She said: I have this merit, and I am a Buddha.So the Buddha gave her a prophecy, and when she finished speaking, as soon as the jewels were put away, she would immediately go to the southern world of Wugou and become a Buddha.Why not in the East, West or North?Why must it be in the South?Because the south is a bright and clean world.The azimuth numbers of Buddhism and the I Ching are very wonderful. Datong Zhisheng Buddha has sixteen princes, not fifteen or fourteen. What about the dragon girl?Eight years old in the Buddha, twenty-eight-sixteen, the merits and virtues are complete. The dragon girl offering orbs is another big talk. This paragraph is over, and the focus of the Lotus Sutra is also over.We are just talking about the material first, and we will discuss it later.The most important point is that the pagoda of many treasures emerges from the ground, which has no beginning and no end, and is eternal.Then there is the dragon girl offering beads brought by Manjusri, the sudden enlightenment method of becoming a Buddha immediately, and it does not say that women cannot become a Buddha.In true One Vehicle Buddhism, there is no distinction between men, women, old and young.The allusion of the dragon girl becoming a Buddha at the age of eight comes from here, and it is also mentioned in the Huayan Sutra. Then there is the thirteenth chapter of "Holding Sutras". "An Le Xingpin" No. 14.In Anle, Manjusri Bodhisattva is the master of the Dharma. The fifteenth piece of "Gushing from the ground" is that in order to eliminate the misunderstanding of other Bodhisattvas, Sakyamuni Buddha thought that there is no pure land in the Saha world, and instructed the great Bodhisattvas to burst out of the ground and fill the void, and he was stunned by other Bodhisattvas. It turns out that Shakyamuni Buddha has taught and transformed so many Bodhisattvas in the Saha world, but not in this land!It is the heart, everyone is a Buddha. When Bodhisattvas and Buddhas meet each other, they will ask two questions: "The World Honored One has fewer illnesses and less afflictions, can he live in peace and happiness?" You say that the Buddha has no afflictions!In fact, he was annoyed to death by enlightenment. This is not what I said. It is recorded in Buddhist scriptures that Shakyamuni Buddha was so annoyed that he wanted to run away.Once, Shakyamuni Buddha slipped into the mountains, but he met an elephant king, and he brought five hundred elephants behind him. The elephants gathered together and loved to fight. The quarrel was so loud that the elephant king was also annoyed to death. , also slipped away, the two met, Shakyamuni Buddha patted the elephant king's head and said: At this time, I feel the same as you, I am so annoyed, and there are a bunch of people behind me. Therefore, don't think that becoming a Buddha means that there will be no worries.The sambhogakaya is here, but he still suffers from many entanglements in this world. "Is it easy to live?" Does it mean happiness?Are you safe? "Is it easy to teach those who should be taught?" Will the people you teach listen to or not? "Don't make the World Honored One tired?" You won't be tired because of enlightenment, right?This is all from experience.Confucius can teach people tirelessly, he is indeed a saint.Enlightened people are often so bored with teaching that they don't even want to live anymore, just like Xin Jiaxuan's poem: "It's easy to leave the world behind, but it's too difficult to forget the world." This is also a kind of magic state in life.
