These verses are done by ultimate wisdom.They are deep and sometimes very complex, even contradictory, but they are the ultimate flowering of wisdom.These scriptures are revealed when a Buddha becomes a Buddha, or a Christ becomes a Christ.If you can understand them, even that understanding itself will transform you.If you could feel the truth hidden in it, you would be a completely different person.So try to get to know them in depth. "Stand by the battle to come, and though you fight don't be a warrior." "...He is yourself, yet you are conditioned and fallible. He is both eternal and certain. He is eternal truth. Once he enters you and becomes a warrior, he is absolutely will not abandon you completely, but will become one with you on the day when the great peace occurs."

"Stand by the side of the battle that is coming. Don't be a warrior though you fight." We are constantly fighting with ourselves.This struggle is constant day and night.The whole life is a battlefield, but you can't get anywhere.You are neither completely defeated nor victorious.The struggle goes on and the life energy is wasted unnecessarily.You are just wasting your existence.what is the reason?Why can you never win?Why can the struggle never end? You fight sex, you fight anger, you fight greed.You fight everything, but you are still controlled by these things.The more you fight sex, the more you are controlled by it, and the more you feel like you have to fight again.It's a vicious cycle.The more you fight, then the more attractive the sex becomes, the more magnetic the sex becomes.You make many decisions not to be angry, and each one fails.And the final result is: in the end you will feel guilty and inferior; in the end you will feel that you can't do anything, and you feel the frustration in your heart.This has happened to all human beings.Mankind is so sad now not because of what has happened in this age, but because years of godly fighting, centuries of continuing godly struggle, have taught the minds of men that there is nothing they can do.The human mind feels frustrated.This frustration creates heartbreak and depression.

Hope has become hopeless.There seemed to be no way out.You can struggle, but everything is futile, a waste of time; nobody achieves anything.This happens not because the human mind cannot win.This happens because the basis on which the struggle is based is wrong, the whole effort of struggle is wrong.Why?Because you are fighting yourself.How can you win? If I create a conflict between my two hands, I can go on fighting, but there will be no victory or defeat, because both hands are mine.The urge to be sexual is mine, and the urge to go beyond it is mine; they are my two hands.I can keep fighting, I can keep switching from one side to the other - sometimes on the right hand side, sometimes on the left hand side, but nothing will happen because I'm in the middle of both .How can there be defeat or victory?It takes at least two people to lose or win, and I was alone, fighting with myself.This fight is a fight with shadows, and it's pointless.

So what to do?This scripture gives you the key: "Stand by the side of the battle, and though you fight don't be a warrior." Stand by.Be the watcher. Remember the word "watch".This is one of the key words in seeking spirituality.If you can understand the word and practice it, you don't need to do anything else.This one key will open all the gates of heaven.This is a skeleton key.Any lock can be opened by it. What does it mean to stand aside?When libido arises, you identify with it.Then, when you've experienced sex, the frustration sets in because you expect a lot and nothing happens.You desire too much, expect too much, and nothing happens.The whole thing is just a hoax.You feel betrayed, cheated.Then remorse enters, and then you start thinking in an opposing view.You start thinking about how to be an ascetic.You think from the point of view of how to be a monk; you start against sex.Then you will identify with that "anti" attitude.

Watching means when sexuality arises, step aside and look at it.Don't agree.Don't say, "I have become sexual." Say, "Sex has arisen in me. I have to observe it now." Don't be for it and don't be against it.Be still and calm, just become a watcher.That does not mean repressing it, because repression will not allow you to understand what it is.Don't suppress it.Repression is when you become identified with the "anti" attitude.Remember this: if you repress, you identify with the "anti" attitude.Don't suppress it, don't identify with it.let it happen.Don't be afraid; just wait and see.

Get into sex, but with a watching eye, figure out what is going on, and let it happen.Don't disturb it, don't suppress it, let it fully reveal itself, but stand by as if you are looking at someone else. Behavior will culminate.Follow it, but stand by it all the time.To get a detailed look at everything that's going on.Be alert, don't lose awareness.Then, you will start falling from the highest point, and the "anti" attitude will come in.Be alert again.Do not identify with the "anti" attitude.Watch what's happening: the wave has reached its highest point; now the wave is going down.Sex is a rising wave.Abstinence, the "anti" attitude towards sex, is the descending wave.

Be careful, be alert.Do not approve or disapprove; do not condemn; do not pass any judgment.Don't be a judge; just be a watcher.Don't say, "This is good. That is bad." Don't say anything.Just be alert and watch what is happening.Be honest with the facts; don't give any interpretations.That is called witnessing. If you can become a witness of pro-sex and anti-sex attitudes, you will understand a great thing.That understanding will tell you that pro-sex and anti-sex attitudes are poles of the same wave.They are not really the opposite of each other.They are just the rise and fall of the same wave.They're all in one, so there's nothing to choose from.If you choose one, you choose the other, because it is also part of it, the hidden part.If you choose one, you choose the other, because the other cannot be separated.They are one, so there is no choice.Then, no choice will happen to you.

That no choice is the way to victory.Now you have no choice; there is nothing to choose.Then a miracle happens: when you don't choose, both drop.Both sex and asceticism disappear, and for the first time you are not in their grasp, for the first time you are not in the grip of the opposite. Watching is the beginning, watching is also the end.The first step and the last step are one.Witnessing is both a means and an end.Then the fight will go on, but you are not a fighter.Now the battle has reached a different level.What is that level? Right now, sex and anti-sex are both in front of your eyes at the same time.This simultaneous occurrence of opposites is combat.They fight each other, and you are a watcher.Because they are opposites, opposite poles, they will completely destroy each other and disappear.They have the same power and the same energy.They cut off each other's roots, they cancel each other out.

This is fighting.But you are not a fighter; you are just a witness.You are just watching from the outside: you are a watcher on a hill.The battle in the valley will continue, but for now you are just a spectator from the tower.You just look down and you know they are fighting; the opposite is fighting.But they cancel each other out because they have the same power. Remember this: only a man who is deeply in the sexual desire can become an ascetic.Too much sexual desire can be turned into abstinence.You cannot become an ascetic if you have only ordinary sexuality, because it takes a lot of energy to be an ascetic.And opposite energies are always equal, so only people who are very involved in sexuality become ascetics.Ordinary people, people with normal, natural sexuality, can never go to that extreme.There is nothing they can do.The energy that goes to extremes comes from sex.Opposite energies are equal.

You don't need to fight; you don't need to choose this side or that.That's how to fail.Just stand by, jump out of the circle, and become a witness. That is difficult because the mind wants to choose; the mind is always choosing.The mind is the chooser, because without choice there is no mind; you fall out of the mind.That's why not choosing is so difficult. Even what I said….Many of you choose to do what I say, but you will do so for a reason.People come to me, and when I say, "Be a witness." Immediately they ask, "If I become a witness, will the sexuality disappear?" Then they cannot become a witness because they have already chosen.They ask, "If I become a witness will the libido disappear?" If the libido will disappear, they will even be ready to become a witness!

But they have made a choice.They have decided that sexual desire is bad and abstinence is good.They ask me, "If I become a witness, will I become an ascetic?" They have missed the whole point. I mean, "Don't choose." And they have chosen.They want to use witnessing as a tool of their choice.But you cannot use witnessing that way. Someone came to me.He is a seeker, a serious seeker.But he is stupid.There are many foolish seekers: they are serious people.And when I say they're stupid I mean: they can't understand what they're doing.The man suffers from sexual desire.Everyone suffers because of their sexual desires.The pain has gone so deep that you are not only suffering from your own sexuality; you are also suffering from the sexuality of others.It seems crazy.You suffer because of your own sexuality, and you suffer because of other people's sexuality, what other people do.Your own sexuality can create enough pain.Why bother with others?But that misery doesn't seem to be enough for you, so you've been collecting what others have done: who's doing wrong and who's doing good.Who are you that it should be up to you to decide?What rights do you have?Who are you that you turned into a policeman? The person who came to me was a policeman.He is suffering because of what everyone is doing.But I told him, "Don't worry about others. The real problem must be in yourself. You haven't made peace with your sexuality, that's the problem. Why suffer because of others? Why create other problems Just to escape your own problems? Just to be possessed? Who appointed you to be a cop? Why waste your life? You must be deeply fascinated by sex; So he said, "You touched my real wound. I'm sixty-five now, and I'm still suffering. As I get older, I suffer more. Sexuality seems to grow with my age." The energy was less and the sex was more and more. As death approached I felt more and more sexual. My whole mind was obsessed with sex twenty-four hours a day." I told him, "You have been fighting sex all the time." He was a great seeker.He used to follow many saints and masters.I told him, "They have destroyed you. You have reached nothing. Whatever you do is wrong. Now, stop fighting with sex." The man became afraid.He said, "I've been fighting with sex. And the reason for this is: I've been sexually charged even during the fight. Now you say, 'Don't fight!' Then I'm going to go completely insane." I told him, "You have tried fighting. Now try another way. You have never reached anything. Now, don't fight!" He asked, "So what should I do?" I said, "Change Become a witness." He asked me, "Then sexuality disappears?" I told him, "If you become a witness with a biased point of view—ascetic, against sexuality—you cannot be a witness. And if you cannot be a witness, sexuality cannot go away. Become a witness. Sexuality will disappear, but remember, abstinence will go with it." When sexuality is gone there is no need for abstinence up.It's part of the same game.What is the use of medicine when the disease is gone?You will throw away the medicine along with the disease.So I told him, "Abstinence will disappear too. But remember, don't choose." "I'll try it out," he said. I told him to come back in three months.Three months later, he came to me and said, "But the libido has not gone away." That's what I call stupidity. "The libido still hasn't gone away, and I've been practicing mindfulness these three months." The unconscious choice that libido must die is still there.Then you cannot become a witness.Witnessing is awareness without choice, without choice.This is the most basic key to all human mind diseases.If you can become a witness, opposites will fight each other, kill each other, and then both will die, disappear.But if you choose one of those things, you cannot be a witness. "Find the warrior and let him fight within you." "...seek him, or you may overlook him in the frenzy and haste of battle; and he will not understand you unless you know him first. If your cry catches his ear, then he will be in the Fight within you and fill the dark void within you." "Find the warrior and let him fight within you." Don't become a warrior; there is no need for that.A warrior is the phenomenon of simultaneously displaying opposites to your consciousness. Usually only one of the opposites will appear.You are not thinking about abstinence when the desire arises.You are not thinking about sex when abstinence comes.One appears and the other hides.This is miserable. Bring out the other at the same time, and then this becomes your warrior.Bring them all out at the same time.When you're full of anger, bring out the regret right away.You are always regretting, but it is after the matter has passed.When you are angry, you are angry.After the anger has done its damage, regret comes and you start to swear you won't be angry again.But anger and regret never meet.Let opposites meet.They cancel each other out. If you keep moving from one pole to the other, you can never win.You have wasted many lifetimes in this way, and you can waste them endlessly.But this is the secret: bring out the opposites at the same time; let them be before you at the same time.Don't go after one of them.If you follow one, the other is waiting for you.When you get bored and fed up with one, the other will catch you.If opposites cannot meet, they cannot cancel each other out.You don't need to do anything.This is where the magic happens, and this is the chemistry within.Put opposites together and just look at them.They will fight; let them fight.You don't need to get involved; just stand by.They will disappear together.Once they come together, they don't stick; both go away. So Mahavira is not an ascetic.Both sexual desire and abstinence disappeared.He's just a naive guy; he's just like a kid.A buddha does not become unangry; both anger and unhappiness disappear.He was naive; neither was there anymore.Krishna was neither a layman nor a monk; he was neither of this world nor of another renounced anti-world.Both are gone; he is naive. Perfection, complete consciousness, exists in innocence.When I use the word "naive" I mean the absence of the opposite.The absence of the opposite is purity.If you choose one of these, you are impure.The other is hidden in the unconscious; both are still there.If one is still there then both will be.The other cannot be separated; it can only be hidden.If one is gone, the other cannot exist either.Both would disappear; the whole battlefield of opposites would disappear.Then you are naive.That innocence is freedom, that innocence is divinity, that innocence is Nirvana. "Take his battle orders and obey him." "Obey him, not as a general, but as if he were yourself, and his words were the voice of your secret desires; for he is yourself, yet he will always be wiser and wiser than yourself. strong." Find the watcher and obey him.Find the watcher first and then obey him, because to find the watcher is to find one's innermost core. We live on two planes, two levels.One is the periphery: the world of action.The other is the inner essence, the world of inaction: being, the world of inaction.Everything we do is on the periphery, and everything we are is at the center.To do things we must continue to move from the center to the periphery.When you are doing something, you are on the periphery.Whatever you are doing, you are on the periphery.When you are non-action, when you are not doing anything, you are in the center.To watch is to not act.Meditation is inaction. We are doing meditation here.For thirty minutes you are doing things on the periphery: breathing, venting, mantras of "protection".You are doing something; you are on the periphery.When I suddenly say, "Stop!" I mean: no action, no action now.When you stop suddenly, you are thrown from the periphery into the essence, the innermost center, because the periphery does not need you when you are not doing anything.You are only on the periphery when you are doing something.Now you are thrown back to the center.That center is your witness. Once you know the center, once you recognize the center, once you feel the center, follow orders.You will be directed; you have found your Master.Now whatever the center tells you you have to obey, then don't listen to the outside.The periphery is cultivated by others, while your center is untouched, virginal; it comes from the divine. The periphery comes from society.That's why I say discipleship is beyond society.Not against society, but beyond society.Now he follows his own innermost center; he does not follow anybody.All orders from other people are meaningless now. You have found your own inner essence, and now that essence can direct you.That essence is always stronger and wiser than yourself.The "you" on the periphery is weak; the "you" in the center has unlimited potential.The "you" in the periphery is just a worldly thing; the "you" in the center is God Himself. But first find the watcher.Jesus said, "Seek first the Kingdom of God. Then all the other things will follow." Leave the other things alone.Find the innermost core of the Kingdom of God first.Then you don't need to worry about anything; everything else will follow. Just follow your inner voice.But how?You don't know what the inner voice is, you don't know what is inside.Society has confused you deeply.It keeps saying that society's own voice is your inner voice.It has placed many voices within you just to control you from within. That is what society needs.Society controls you in two ways.One is outside arrangements: the police on the street, the courts, the judges, the law, the government.This is an outside arrangement, but that is not enough.You can cheat the law, you can manipulate the courts.And of course the cops are just another human being.So that arrangement is not enough. What is good for a Hindus may not be good for a Jain.Whatever you say is true, something that contradicts it is also true somewhere; that is not absolute.Now that we are aware of the complexity of the human conscience, we understand that your conscience is just a product of society.There are so many societies co-existing that the inner police has become weak.Human society is less moral now because the inner policeman is almost dying.You know what it says doesn't mean much: leave it alone.Just observe the laws of the outside world...and try to find a way around it. What I am saying is that the voice of the inner police is not your voice.Find the watcher.Only then will you find your inner voice. The inner voice will direct you.Its command will be quite different from what society says.But for the first time you will become religious, not just moral.You will become a moral person in a deeper sense.Morality will not be a duty, it will not be something imposed on you.It will not be a burden; it will be automatic.You will be kind, naturally kind.You will not become a thief, not because society says, "Don't be a thief," but you cannot be a thief.You don't kill people because that's impossible.You love life so much that violence becomes impossible.That's not a moral code; that's an inner command. You affirm life, you respect life.A deep respect will come out of you, and through that respect everything will follow.That's why Jesus said, "Seek first the Kingdom of God. Then everything else will follow."Find that inner voice and everything will follow.
