Mr. Li Ao is a well-known writer and cultural figure in Taiwan. Born in Harbin in 1935, he moved to Beijing with his family in 1937. He first studied at Fresh Hutong Primary School.Regarding the history of studying in Beijing, Mr. Li Ao himself said that the ancient cultural city of Beijing made him precocious in intelligence, and he developed a habit of reading, buying and collecting books since he was a child. In April 1949, Li Ao moved to Taiwan with his family, settled in Taichung, and studied in the second year of Taichung No. 1 Middle School.Li Ao in middle school has shown that he thinks independently and never follows the trend.Dissatisfied with Taiwan's education system at that time, he voluntarily left school and stayed at home after finishing his second year of high school to read widely. In the summer of 1954, he was admitted to the Department of Law of National Taiwan University, but within a year he dropped out automatically, and soon he was admitted to the Department of History of National Taiwan University, and in 1961 he was admitted to the Institute of History of National Taiwan University.Mr. Li Ao's works are in a class of their own.
