Chapter 35 7. The urgent task of the Chinese people

In many provinces of China, the growth of GDP is regarded as the first standard of economic development, and the "quick" policy and "immediate benefit" policy are prevailing, resulting in the consequences of resource shortage and environmental degradation.There are five "imbalances" in the economic structure that need to be pointed out: The savings rate is high and the consumption rate is low; Economic growth is overly dependent on the secondary industry (concentrated in the field of raw material processing), while the development of the tertiary industry (manufacturing and service industries) lags behind;

Unreasonable investment structure, excessive consumption of resources, and low rate of technological innovation; Sustainable development should be coordinated with resources, environment and ecology; Finally, the income gap is widening: the Gini coefficient has exceeded the warning line and continues to grow.If the economy grows too fast, it will be difficult to solve the inequality problem, economic restructuring will be hindered, and inflation will be increased at the same time. In response to these problems, the Chinese government has recently taken further measures to achieve economic restructuring, such as: abolishing obsolete production methods, canceling export tax relief for highly polluting products (especially for natural resource-intensive industries), strengthening energy conservation, and reducing the cost of raw materials. Use, increase the minimum wage and finally implement real estate regulation.
