If his mental state can be corrected by external force, the application of this external force must be gradual and multi-faceted. Sexual intercourse, whether inside or outside of marriage, must never be considered a cure.Of course, as mentioned above, if it is said that the reversed person must not be able to get married, and must be prohibited anyway, that is not necessary.This is true for the reversal state, and it is also true for other relatively profound divergent states.In fact, it is not uncommon for reversed people to have a family life. However, we believe that although marriage is concluded, it should not be carried out blindly, nor should it be expected too much.Probably the age of the other party should not be too small, and before marriage, the other party should have a full understanding of what kind of person the future spouse will be, and after marriage, what successes or failures will occur in the future.If the two parties have similar feelings, such a marriage can be unsatisfactory, and it can even be called a happy word.In any case, however, we should remember that the chances of adequate sexual satisfaction for either party are slim.逆转的一方，除非同时也有真上的双性两可的倾向（大多数双性两可的人是侧重于间性恋一方面的），要对异性的人表示一种毫无隐蔽的挚爱和完全放任的热情，是不可能的。而这种挚爱与热情却是性爱关系的基本因素，必不可少的。逆转的男人的性器官未必不宜于性交，但性交之际也许必须靠一番想象的力量，把对方当做一个同性而非异性的人，甚至把这种力量完全转移在另一个可爱而同性的人身上。用力在此，无闲心在彼。这样的性生活对逆转的一方是不会有很大的满意的，而在不逆转的一方，即使在意识上对于这种性关系的不很完整的状态不很了了，在本能上，终必不免有失望与沉郁不舒之感，甚或引起厌恶心理也是可能的。所以这一类的结合，如果索性把性交的满足搁置不问，而把双方的关系完全建构在其他共同兴趣上，未来的幸福倒可以比较多些。 至于子女的生育是否应列在这些共同兴趣之内，也是一个重要的问题，而不一定毅然加以否定的答复。大体上说，我们固然完全可以肯定地定下一个原则来，就是凡属有先大同性恋倾向的人是不应当生育的。不过，如果逆转的一方在其他的身心方面很属健全，而其所从出的家世又相当清白，同时，不逆转的一方又属完全正常无缺，则所生孩子未尝没有比较健全的希望。逆转的人是往往喜欢有子女的。对于不逆转的一方，孩子也是一种慰藉的力量，因而可以使婚姻生活更加巩固。不过就一般情形而言，这种结合总是不稳定的，分居与被第三者离间的机会总比较多。因此，家庭环境风雨飘摇的危险也比较大，这对于孩子也是不利的。 在现今的社会形势下，为先天逆转的人计，比较最圆满的办法是：由他尽管保留他所特有的性观念与性理想、特有的内在的种种本能倾向，根本放弃去变就常态的企图，对他变态的情欲也根本不追求什么直接与比较粗率的满足，他间或不免就自动恋方面觅取情欲的出路，虽不满意，亦属事不得已，只好听之。这是不足为奇的，不少操行很好的逆转的人就这样做。例如有一个和笔者通讯的男人，他在十九岁以前是有过同性恋的经验的，但后来就停止了。他写道：“偶尔我可以连上数月不手淫。但偶然手淫一次以后，我的精神上就觉得比较自足，不过我对于其他男子的爱慕，从此就更觉得情不自禁。我的最好的朋友们当然不知道我对他们如何倾倒。如果知道，一定要引为奇事。这种倾倒的心理和一般同性恋的情绪，只有我自己知道。从朋友的立场看，我的性生活是没有什么不正常的。我相信从我的品性与行为来看决没有丝毫的痕迹可以教别人疑心我在情欲方面竟可以和一般人所知道的'退化的人'属于同一个流品。不过我并不觉得自己一个退化的人。我对自己的情欲也并不以为有什么可耻的地方。不过我不愿意让人家知道，人家一知道便不免看不起我，因而影响到我的身分与地位，身分地位如有变动，那就可耻了。” 还有一个男人例子。他也从来没有和别人发生过同性恋的关系。他是一个海军军官过着很忙和很活泼的生活，不属于性的范围以内的友谊很多，并且很能在这种友谊里取得生活上的满足。他写道：“我在任何方面都没有近乎女性的表示。 我过的生活是很艰苦的，也很危险的，但这也是我志愿所在，从不不退避。我对于在性方面可爱的男人，一心但愿和他们做伴侣，我平生最快乐的日子就是有这种伴侣生活的日子。不过我的欲望也不完全是性的，其中50％是心理方面的十足的投合与和谐，只是性的吸引而没有此种附带的情投意合的生活是不行的。因为深怕失掉这种伴侣的关系，我始终没有敢向所爱的人作过进一步的表示，而假设真要作进一步的表示，而另觅男妓做对象，则这种情意上的和谐我以为又是不可能的。我是和别的男子不同的，我以前不免以此为可耻，这种羞恶的心理现在过去了。我现在的看法是，我这种状态，就我个人而论，是自然的。 " 对于有的逆转的人，前面两个例子的行为是几乎不可能的；对于许多别的例子，这种行为是可能的，不过得经过一番很痛苦的挣扎，需赔上许多本可以用在事业上的精力。不过就一大部分逆转的人而言，他们的性冲动事实上是不很强烈的。这种冲动固然与正常的冲动不同，因此不免过分在意识界徘徊不去，而又因不容易得到满足，更不免变本加厉地亦意识上不断动荡，但实力终究是不大的。 所以，他们只需在同性之中选择气味相投的分子，缔结一些柏拉图式的友谊也就可以得到很大的满足。如果这种例子能进一步把柏拉图本人和古希腊诗人的作品中关于同性恋的情绪和理想研究一下从而加以体会，这种友谊便可以进入一个更高的境界。近代作家中如美国诗人惠特曼（Wala Whitman）、英国的卡本特、法国的纪德（Andre Gide），都值得参考。 我们还要记得一层，逆转的性冲动是比较最容易升华的（参见本书第八章未节）。弗洛伊德认为同性恋的人只要把异性恋冲动确立以后，升华的发展是可以跟踪而来的。从此以后，欲力所至，可以为友谊关系，可以为伴侣生活，可以表现为同舟共济的精神，可以推进天下一家的理想。确象弗氏所说，升华必待异性恋的倾向确立以后，那我以为十有九例将永无升华的一日。因为，前文早已说过，对于先天逆转的人，要同性恋转变为异性恋，事实上等于不可能。幸而就我们观察所及，类此升华的功能是很早就可以发生的，本不必等到这样一个也许永远不会来到的日子，而即在同性恋的冲动早已确立不移的人，也还可以培植此种功夫，也不必等待其性冲动转入异性恋的轨道之后。并且这种实例也还不少，逆转的人替同性的人做些老安少怀的社会事业与慈善事业的例子所在皆有，并且做得很热心，这显然表示事业中也自有乐地。所病不求则罢了，求则得之。 有一位先辈是教友派的一个信徒。他是一个男人，家世中有不少分子在神经上有不健全的倾向，同时却又有很特出的智力。这位男子本人也复如此。他自己又有同性恋的冲动，但除了很轻微的表现而外，他是从来不让这种冲动发展出来而见诸行为的。他已经结婚，不过他的异性恋的冲动却不强烈。他在信中写道：“双性两可的人似乎最能博爱。其对象是全人类，不只是一个人。一样是以心力事人，这也许是更尊贵而更有用的一种。即如科学的研究也未始不是以心力事人的一种，一个人一生能写出若干篇科学论义来，对真理多所发明，即不只替自己添了许多化身，其为造福人群，岂不比生育一大批孩子似乎更见得有用。”这是同性恋的倾向转入科学创作的一例。但转入宗教的努力的一途的例子更要多些。 另一个和笔者通信的例子，他平时很喜欢研究但丁并且自以为有双性两可的倾向，他写道：“我认为性与宗教之间有一个密切的关联。我所熟悉的逆转的人（四个男子）全都是虔敬的宗教信徒。我自己就是一个在英国教会中服务的人。我自己有一个理论，恋爱的要素是不自私地以心力事人。我笃信为人服务是人生幸福的惟一钥匙，也惟有以此为钥匙的人才获得真正的幸福。无论逆转的人或不逆转的人，对于外来的观感，无论在心门上敲得如何紧急，总有一部分是要加以排斥的。 对于许多青年男女，我都觉得美丽可爱、我都受到感动。但我把这种灵感转移到宗教与日常事业上去，而尽力自持，养成一种定力，不让这心完全放散出去而过分受私人情欲的驱策。在我的精神发育的过程里，我已经越过那风波最险恶的阶段。也许有一天我可以碰上我中意的女人，而自身可以经验到做爸爸的乐趣。 " 前面所说，固然只能对比较高等的逆转者发生兴趣，而不足以语于一般的逆转的例子。不过，我们不妨再写一笔，这种高等的逆转者为数并不太少，在全数之中实在要占很大的一部分。在对于自身的特殊状态有充分的了解以前，他们容易觉得宇宙虽大，他们不过是一些穷途流浪而无处栖身的人。一旦这种了解有长足的进展，他们自身的幸福和他们对于社会的功用也就随而增加，从此让他们可以感觉到，天覆地载之中未尝没有他们的地位，即使他们始终保持他们的故我，这地位也依然存在，并且这地位也还未始不是值得教人忻慕的一种。
