Chapter 20 Sarcasm: A Serious Barrier to Learning

Parents who are gifted with sarcasm are extremely dangerous to their children's mental health.Parents with such a gifted language are serious obstacles to effective communication: "How many times do I have to repeat the same thing? Are you deaf? Or why can't you listen?" "You're so rude. Did you grow up in the jungle? Yes, that's where you belong, you know." "Anyway, what's the matter with you? Are you crazy or just stupid? I know what will happen to you!" Such parents don't even realize that such words are personal attacks and will only lead to counterattacks; such words are a barrier to communication and will only provoke children to focus on fantasies of revenge. There must be no embarrassing sarcasm and harsh platitudes in the education of children. It's best to avoid statements like: "What makes you think you have all the answers? You were almost born with no brains and you think you're smart!" We shouldn't belittle our kids, whether it's intentional or not , whether it is his image in his own eyes or his image in the eyes of his peers.
