Chapter 74 74

Emile 卢梭 227Words 2018-03-18
Don't blame others for your own faults. The environment in which children are exposed can corrupt them, but not more so than your education. You lecture, dogma, show off your knowledge all day long, you give your student one good idea, and at the same time you stuff him with twenty useless ones.Your mind is full of your own thoughts, but you are ignorant of the effect it all has on your students.Do you think they get it all right when you pour out your words at them?Do you think they don't have their own evaluation of your lengthy explanation?Do you think they wouldn't be looking for material to build something they could understand? And whenever they get the chance, that material is used against you.
