A few years ago, I was asked by the host on a radio show, "What's the most important lesson you've learned?" The question is simple: one of the most important lessons I've learned is "The Importance of Ideas."I can know who you are just by knowing what you're thinking, because we're what makes us what we are.Our destiny also depends on our state of mind. Marcus Aureus, the great philosopher who once ruled the Roman Empire, said this: "Life is formed by thoughts." This is a word that can decide your fate.It can be said that our fate depends entirely on our psychological state.Emerson once said: "A man is what he imagines all day long, how can he be another?" As long as you know what is in your heart, you can know what kind of person you are, because every day A person's character traits are all caused by his thoughts.

I can now say with certainty that the biggest problem you and I have to face, in fact, is almost the only problem we have to deal with is how to choose the right thought. If we can do this, all problems can be solved. If all we think is sad, then we will be sad; if all we think is happy, then we will automatically be happy; If we think of some horrible situation, we will be afraid; if we wallow in self-pity, others will try to avoid us; if all we think of is failure, then we will will fail.Norman Winson Peale said, "You are not who you think you are, and you will be who you think you are."

By saying this, is it implying that we should all face all difficulties with habitual optimism?Of course not.Unfortunately, life is not as simple as this, but I encourage everyone to try to adopt a positive attitude instead of a negative attitude. A man can focus on some very serious issues, but at the same time he can strut around with flowers on his lapels. When we have to focus on the problems we face, we must not worry about them. So, what is the difference between concern and worry? To put it more clearly: For example, whenever I have to pass through a New York City neighborhood with heavy traffic, I pay attention to what I am doing, but I don't worry.Concern is knowing what the problem is and then calmly taking steps to fix it; worrying is mindless and frantic circles.

If there's one thing half a century of living experience has taught me, it's that "nothing can bring you peace but yourself." Remember Emerson's words: "Don't think that a political victory, or an increase in income, or a recovery from illness, or the return of a friend long lost, or anything else purely external, will raise your spirits, Makes you feel like you have a lot of good days ahead of you. Don't believe it, it's never going to be that simple. Nothing can bring you peace but yourself." Epictetus, the great Stoic philosopher, warned us that it is more important that we do all we can to rid our minds of erroneous ideas than to cut off "tumors and abscesses in the body."Moreover, modern medicine has also proved his theory.Dr. Campbell Robin said that 4/5 of the patients admitted to the Johns Hopkins Hospital are caused by emotional tension and excessive pressure, and even some physical organ problems are the same.At the end of the day, he declared, "these all stem from problems in life that don't work together."

The great French philosopher Montan once used the sentence "A man is hurt by an accident far less deeply than his opinion of the accident" as his life motto. And our opinion about all things depends entirely on the judgments we make. When you are plagued by all kinds of troubles and your whole body is tense, should you tell yourself boldly that you can completely change your state of mind by relying on your willpower.Of course, I will tell you how to do it, the secret is very simple. Many years ago, I read a little book in which there was a passage like this: When a man changes his view of things and other people, he will find that things and other people will change for him.If a person turns his thoughts on the bright side, he will be surprised to find that his life is greatly affected by it.People can't attract what they want, but they can attract all they have, and the divinity that can change the temperament exists in our own hearts, that is, ourselves. All that a man can get is the direct result of his own thoughts.Only after possessing the spirit of striving can one be excited, full of desire, and able to achieve something. If he can't get his mind up, he'll always be in weakness and misery.

So let us remember the words of William James: "...often it is possible to turn most of what we call evil into something good by simply changing the inner feeling of the sufferer from fear to struggle." Let us fight for our own happiness! All just for today.Just for today, let us have no fear in our hearts. In particular, we must not be afraid of happiness, we must love everything, appreciate all beauty, and believe that those we love will love us too. If we want to achieve peace and a happy state of mind, please remember: With happy thoughts and actions, you will feel happy.
