Zhang Zhanhu (1911-1936), born in Yuhuangyan, Xiagaoyan Township, Yaoxian County, had a poor family when he was a child, and worked at home with his father. In 1931, unbearable due to the drought and the rent forced by the landlord, he resolutely went north to Zhaojin to join the revolutionary ranks and joined the Communist Party of China.Soon, he followed the party's instructions and returned to his hometown to establish a peasant guerrilla. In 1933, this armed force was reorganized into the Seventh Detachment of the General Headquarters of the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Guerrilla Army and served as the captain.

In 1934, he served as the captain of the Chunyao Guerrilla Team of the Third Route, and fought with the instructor Feng Decai around the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base. In October 1936, Ren Shulin, the former captain of the Eighth Detachment of the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Guerrilla Army, was arrested in Rangyi Village.Zhang Zhanhu led the guerrillas to launch a fierce attack on the enemy in Rangyi Village. Unfortunately, he was shot in the abdomen and blood gushed out.He wrapped the wound tightly with a belt, still commanding the battle calmly.After a night of fierce fighting, he was exhausted, his intestines flowed out from the wound, and he died a heroic sacrifice at the age of twenty-five.
