Chapter 63 Bian Derong

Bian Derong (1909-1936), a native of Anwang Village, Chousang Township, Yao County.When he was young, his family was poor, and he lived away from home to herd sheep and dig coal in the food and clothing market. In 1933, he served as the commander of the cavalry company of the 4th Regiment of the Red 26th Army, and led his troops to defeat the Leitianyi Guard Regiment of Yaoxian County in Laochi Village, Azi Township.Then, he participated in the Battle of Huachi and wiped out a cavalry regiment.In March of the following year, he led a cavalry company to participate in the surprise attack on Huangbao Town and wiped out the Huangbao militia.Later, he was transferred to the captain of the Fugan guerrilla team of the Shaanxi-Gansu border guerrilla team, and the chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of Yi (Jun) County in the middle (department).Two hands and two guns.He is brave and invincible, has repeatedly made military exploits, and his reputation is far away in northern Shaanxi.The cavalry company he led back then was known as the "Tiger Cavalry Company".

In the spring of 1935, he served as the commander of the third independent battalion of the Guanzhong Army Division. He led his troops to fight in Laoshan, Ganquan County, Zhiluo Town, Fuxian County, and Heishui Temple, and cooperated with the main force to fight. In March 1936, he was shot and fell in the battle of Taodongyuan, Fu County.Still reluctantly crawling and shooting, covering the soldiers to break through.When the enemy swarmed up, he pulled two grenades around him and died with the enemy. He was only 27 years old.
