Wang Feng (1910-1998), formerly known as Wang Junzhi, formerly known as Wang Wenzhao, was born in Lantian, Shaanxi. He joined the Communist Youth League of China in 1926 and became a member of the Communist Party of China in the winter of 1927. In 1926, he served as Secretary of the Lantian Youth League Committee of Shaanxi Province. In the winter of 1927, he served as the chairman of the Lantian County Federation of Students. In the autumn of 1930, he served as the head of the Working Committee of the Lantian County Committee of the Communist Party of China. At the end of 1931, he served as the organization minister and secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Military Commission of the Communist Party of China.

In the autumn of 1932, he served as Secretary of the Weibei Special Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Deputy Secretary of the Sanyuan Central County Committee. On December 24, 1932, he served as the principal of the camp school attached to the Second Regiment of the Red Twenty-sixth Army. In March 1933, he served as the acting political commissar of the Red Twenty-sixth Army in Yangliuping, Zhaojin. In May 1933, he was injured after failing to go south with the 26th Army. After recovering from his injury, he served as a special commissioner of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and secretary of the Southern Shaanxi Special Committee.

In July 1935, he was transferred to the Shanghai Central Bureau to engage in military work. In July 1935, he arrived in northern Shaanxi with the Long March of the 25th Red Army. He later served as Secretary of the Party Committee of Guanzhong Special Zone and Commander of Guanzhong Special Zone Command. In December 1935, he went to the 17th Route Army of the Kuomintang to work underground and served as a special commissioner of the Communist Party of China.During the War of Resistance Against Japan, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, Minister of the United Front Work Department, and Minister of the Military Department.Deputy Secretary of the Guanzhong Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China, Director of the United Front Work Department, Deputy Commander of the First Brigade of the Eighth Army of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia-Shandong-Suilian Alliance, Deputy Commander of the Guanzhong Garrison District, and Director of the Security Department.After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he served as the deputy secretary of the Guanzhong Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China.Deputy commander of the Guanzhong Army division, deputy brigade commander of the first garrison brigade of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia-Shandong-Sui joint defense army.

From January 1945, he served as Secretary of the Working Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. From September, he served as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Henan-Hubei-Shaanxi Border Region, Chairman of the Henan-Hubei-Shaanxi Border Region Government, and Political Commissar of the Henan-Hubei-Shaanxi Military Region. Since October, he has been the director of the Administrative Office of the Henan-Hubei-Shaanxi Border Region. Since July 1947, he has been a member of the Front Enemy Command Committee of the Chen Geng and Xie Fuye Corps (Taiyue Corps) and a political commissar of the 38th Army of the Northwest Democratic Alliance Army.

From June 1948, he served as secretary of the Party Committee of Southern Shaanxi District, director of the Administrative Office of Southern Shaanxi District, and political commissar of the Southern Shaanxi Military Region. In May 1949, he served as the Second Political Commissar of the Nineteenth Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.After the founding of the People's Republic of China. From January 1950 to May 1952, he served as the deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Central Northwest Bureau. From May 1952 to July 1954, he served as the head of the United Front Work Department of the Northwest Bureau.

From February 1950, he served as a member of the Northwest Bureau, and from January 1953 to December 1954, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Northwest Bureau.He was a member of the Northwest Administrative Committee and director of the Ethnic Affairs Committee. Since March 1951, he has concurrently served as the president of the Northwest Institute for Nationalities. From November 1952 to the early stage of the "Cultural Revolution", he served as the deputy director of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission and deputy secretary of the leading party group.

From August 1954 to November 1960, he served as Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. In February 1958, he was additionally elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the First National People's Congress. From April 1958 to January 1961, he served as the first secretary of the Ningxia Working Committee of the Communist Party of China.First Secretary of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Party Committee. In April 1959, he was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the Second National People's Congress.

From November 1960 to February 1966, he served as secretary of the Central Northwest Bureau Secretariat. From January 1961 to February 1967, he concurrently served as the First Secretary of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee.During this period: He also served as the first political commissar of the Gansu Provincial Military Region. From September 1961, he concurrently served as Secretary of the Ethnic Work Committee of the Northwest Bureau. During the "Cultural Revolution". From the end of 1966 to 1977, he was persecuted and imprisoned. From July 1977 to January 1978, he served as the second secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Party of China, the third secretary of the Xinjiang Military Region Party Committee, and the first deputy secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Revolutionary Committee.

From January 1978 to October 1981, he served as the first secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Party of China. From January 1978 to September 1979, he served as the director of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Revolutionary Committee and the chairman of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Political Consultative Conference: from January 1978 to January 1982, he also served as the first political commissar of the Xinjiang Military Region and the first secretary of the Party Committee of the Military Region, Ulu City The first political commissar of the Qi Military Region and the first secretary of the Party Committee of the Military Region.

In April 1987, he was additionally elected as the vice chairman of the Sixth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.Alternate member of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (co-opted by the Second Plenary Session of the Eighth).Member of the 11th Central Committee, elected as a member of the Central Advisory Committee at the 12th and 13th National Congresses of the Communist Party of China.
