Chapter 66 In the season of warm spring and flowers blooming, I am looking forward to a bright future

The trembling yellow leaves of half of the trees in front of the window seem to remind me again that winter is over and spring is coming. The alternation of seasons reminds me of the hardships of wandering. But right now, not only do I have to work hard for my two new books, but I also have to work hard for my lawsuit that has dragged on for four years. It's spring. In the spring of 2004 in Beijing, without the dust and dust of the past, it was a sunny and beautiful spring.Five years ago, I came to the unfamiliar capital to avoid troubles and seek the beautiful dreams in my heart, but now I am still surrounded by disturbances.I fell into a new depression. The so-called wandering pleasure of foreign experience is gradually replaced by nostalgia.

When wandering in Kyoto, I always think of Wang Bo's poem: "The terrain is extreme and the south is deep, the sky is high and the north is far; Yes, I am not a chivalrous man, I am just a guest from another country, just like I am still a wandering reporter without a formal establishment.I'm just a freelance reporter wandering in a foreign land.I suddenly realized the reality that I might not be able to change in my whole life.Looking up at the sky, I couldn't help but sigh like this: Guanshan is difficult to cross, who is sad for those who have lost their way?Meet by chance, full of guests from other places.I think back to when Wang Bo wrote this beautiful sentence on the Tengwang Pavilion back then, how dignified his thoughts were. Now even though there are sighs from the wind and dust, do I really have any sadness of "losing the way"?Where is "Guanshan"?How did you become a "guest from a foreign land"?I smiled bitterly at the far-fetchedness in my heart, and felt even more lost in the paradox.

I think that my passion like wildfire and my unique journalistic experience with tears and blood in the manuscript may be joked by readers at will, or they may be taken as a joke after dinner .Maybe someone won't understand me, won't accept me.Yes, who can understand the pain in my soul as a wandering reporter? I remember that as early as the Spring Festival in 1997, I was so poor that I only had 1 yuan and 80 cents, and I spent a Spring Festival that was very special to me.Time flies like an arrow, and the sun and the moon fly like a shuttle. Now 7 years have passed, and I still haven't escaped poverty.Because the lawsuits consumed too much energy and money, I got into difficulties again and again in the capital, and my life was extremely embarrassing. In the winter of 2002, I temporarily lived in a cheap and low bungalow by the Grand Canal in the suburbs of Beijing. In 2003, I still lived in a bungalow for a Spring Festival. In 2004, I was still in a small bungalow, alone, with my own lonely shadow, spending a Spring Festival without candlelight. In the cold winter, there is no heating and no friends here, but there are dozens of letters for help from readers from all over the bedside.Letters can comfort me more than heating, and they regard me as their bosom friend.I still feel warm in my heart.

At this time, I thought of my interviewees who were still fighting tirelessly for their grievances.Their optimism always inspires me.I thought of Zeng Chuanyao, who was thousands of miles away, and his wife, who couldn't even speak Mandarin. These two 76-year-olds, in order to go to court with the local authorities, struggled on the road to litigation. After trekking for 6 years; Yu Limei fought a lawsuit with Beidaihe Hospital for 8 years, and finally won the first instance; "Battle of Laws", has gone through a long 23 years of litigation, from black hair to white hair, and is still rushing to appeal for the lawsuit. The tortuous and rough process is very emotional.Gong Enhe, a veteran worker in Handan, Hebei, in order to defend his rights, did not hesitate to fight a lawsuit with his unit for 8 years. At the end of last year, his case attracted the attention of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and many famous labor law experts in China, and was reported by many domestic media. The civil lawsuit known as "China's No. 1 Labor Law" finally won the first instance.

Among these people, the person with a disability is particularly memorable to me. His unyielding spirit moved me very much; his misfortune made me even more sad.His name is Liu Fengqi. In July 2002, I went to Baihe at the foot of Changbai Mountain to interview a case of extorting confessions by torture. Although the case was protested twice by the Jilin Provincial Procuratorate, the police involved have been at large.Liu Fengqi, 43 years old, is a worker in a factory of the Baihe Forestry Bureau of Jilin Province. On June 19, 1996, he was taken to the detention center by the criminal police brigade of the Baihe Forestry Public Security Bureau for suspicion of rape and homicide. He was deprived of sleep for 13 days and 13 nights. .Because Liu refused to admit the "criminal facts", Baihe Forestry Public Security Bureau's criminal police brigade captain Yang, deputy captain Jin, criminal police brigade investigators Ye and Wang, under the instigation of the bureau leaders, used wooden planks and electric batons , triangular belts and other instruments of torture to destroy him.Unbearable to bear the torture, Liu was forced to commit suicide by jumping off the building wearing handcuffs and shackles on the morning of the 11th day.The other party continued to torture him for three days after jumping off the building, and he was carried back to the cell on the 13th day.The local court sentenced Liu Fengqi to 8 years in prison for rape based on the transcripts obtained during the torture.Because he did not receive timely treatment, he caused Liu Gaowei to suffer from paraplegia (level two). On October 31, 1999, although the above-mentioned four policemen were arrested by the Baihe Forestry Public Security Bureau on suspicion of extorting confessions by torture, they were quickly released on bail pending trial.Since then, the People's Procuratorate of Baihe Forest District, Jilin Province has lodged a protest against this case, and the Higher People's Procuratorate of Jilin Province has lodged a protest against this twice.Liu Fengqi's attorneys, Zhang Yanhong and Zhang Lin of Jilin Hengji Law Firm, pointed out: This is a typical case of collective torture by the police to extract a confession.

In order to seek justice, Liu Fengqi, who was disabled, went to Beijing many times in a wheelchair to appeal, and contacted me every time he came. In early April 2004, on a cold and rainy afternoon, I met Liu Fengqi again on the streets of Chang'an.His body was soaked by the spring rain and he smiled and said to me: "I have no money to eat, so I had to go to a nearby shop to buy a few umbrellas on credit. I don't want someone to take them away. But, reporter Shi, please rest assured, I I must live; as long as I live, I must use legal means to make those who tortured me be severely punished by the law..."

My heart suddenly became hot. In order not to let my tears flow out, I quickly gave him a hundred yuan and then turned and left... Yes, the disability victim's legal path has been so tortuous and difficult, but I believe he will get justice one day.Because we believe the law is just. Compared with these few interviewees, the hardships I have endured and the ups and downs I have experienced are really nothing.I was only retaliated by others, I was put in handcuffs and locked up in a dark room for more than ten days, and I was only in a lawsuit with others for 5 years. At the same time, I also think of Guo Guangyun, a member of the Hebei Construction Committee, who spent eight years trying to sue Cheng Weigao, the former secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and director of the Provincial People's Congress. He said, I believe that justice will triumph over evil, because I am engaged in a just cause. Now, he has finally defeated that formidable opponent, and the party has cleared the truth for him.I have no reason not to believe that my interviewees and I cannot get the justice we deserve through the law!As a political and legal reporter fighting on the front line, I have heard and witnessed many cases of various corrupt elements who have been hidden or open, mingled in our party and eroded the healthy skin of our party.I believe that under the leadership of the Party, no matter how powerful the corrupt forces are or how complicated the case is, the problems that happened to me and my interviewees will be resolved fairly.Because justice will triumph over evil!

I know that there is nothing wrong with me being a reporter, and it is even more true that I speak the truth for the common people with a beating red conscience in my chest. I've asked myself countless times: Am I doing my job as a journalist correctly?Am I speaking the truth for the masses? I have a clear conscience!I have no regrets!I have been a reporter for 10 years, even though I have no money to buy a house, and I often worry about livelihood issues, even though I have a debt of more than 100,000 yuan due to a 5-year lawsuit, even though I still live like 10 years ago Cheap rentals, but I've never regretted what I paid for. However, what makes me deeply ashamed is that I am still unable to bring my white-haired parents from the remote and poor village to live with me in the city, which may become an eternal pain in my heart.

Yes, the righteous way in the world is vicissitudes. All the contests between right and wrong, good and evil, and black and white just made me understand that anyone who takes the fight against evil as his own responsibility will inevitably pay a price! How high is his sense of sublime, so will his price! The news of spring is coming one after another, and all kinds of exciting news are coming one after another: In early 2004, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China promulgated the "Regulations on Inner-Party Supervision of the Communist Party of China (Trial)" and the "Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China". In this regulation within the party, the issue of supervision by public opinion is specifically stipulated. This is the first time in the history of our party! The party's organizations and leading cadres at all levels correctly treat and accept the issue of public opinion supervision, and put forward clear requirements: first, they must attach importance to and support public opinion supervision; second, they must consciously and actively listen to opinions from the news media; To promote and improve various tasks. At the same time, the regulations also make corresponding provisions on how to ensure the healthy development of news and public opinion.

In March 2004, the high-profile national "two sessions" were held in Beijing again. At this conference, issues related to news law and public opinion supervision once again attracted the attention of many deputies to the National People's Congress!Professor Wang Weizhong, a representative of the Jilin People's Congress, once again submitted a bill calling for news legislation. What moved me even more was that during this period, this very chivalrous Professor Wang expressed great concern for my first private prosecution case of a journalist in the country.During the busy period of the two sessions, Professor Wang met me twice at the Guangxi Hotel where he stayed. We had in-depth and detailed exchanges on the issue of supervision.

Professor Wang Weizhong, deputy to the Ninth and Tenth National People's Congress, was one of the main initiators of the "News Supervision Law". He met with me twice during the two sessions in 2004, and he was very concerned about the progress of my private prosecution case. In the spring, the Chinese Communist Party sent good news one after another to the people of the whole country; for the nearly 800,000 journalists across the country, their careers received unprecedented attention from the party, and they were specifically listed in the party’s internal regulations; this is unusual The spring of this year is of special significance to me as an ordinary reporter. My first self-prosecution case in the country, which has long attracted the attention of the Chinese press, has attracted the attention of many deputies to the National People's Congress and has been approved by the central leadership. focus on. On April 27, 2004, the Supreme People's Court sent a letter to Wang Weizhong, deputy to the National People's Congress, stating that "the relevant materials of Shi Ye's suing Deng Shixiang's defamation case reported by you have been transferred to our court for handling according to law." The enthusiastic Professor Wang Weizhong has repeatedly Called to comfort me and said: Ishino, you have to believe in the laws of the country!Your case has attracted the attention of relevant central leaders, and we deputies to the National People's Congress will definitely pay attention to it to the end.Believe it, justice will triumph over evil. Yes, justice must prevail. This is an unbreakable truth in the world. Yes, spring means different things to everyone. The spring season is charming...
