Chapter 21 Postscript A psychological process of crying

tears are golden 何建明 1441Words 2018-03-14
It is said that men after the age of 40 are not easy to shed tears. I think that apart from not encountering sadness, there is also nothing worthy of sympathy and pain.I am over 40 years old, but this year I have become very tearful, and it is because of something that has nothing to do with me. In September 1997, when a leading comrade introduced to me the situation of impoverished students in Chinese universities and expected me to write a work reflecting this problem, I felt my shoulders sink, but it was not because I was afraid The subject matter itself, but I feel that I can't spare so much time to complete a huge "investigation", and then write it into a "report", which must also have a moving "literary quality".But then I took it anyway. After receiving the first interview, I felt that I could not give up this special mission, because it was beyond the meaning of the investigation that I could have imagined: an honest writer with a sense of social responsibility would not do such a thing, or What are you doing?

I finally started the long road to college. For a work, it takes a year to visit dozens of units and 200 to 300 people. Not everyone is willing to do such a hard job.But I know I have to.A few times I was on my way to the university for an interview and I was so sleepy I couldn't keep my eyes open...but I had to get there on time because the students were waiting there. In my works, I once mentioned the days of visiting colleges and universities in Shanxi. In order to listen to the stories of batch after batch of impoverished students, I conducted 21 hours of interviews one day. In fact, this happened more than once.I said these things not to flaunt my professionalism, but after I became friends with college students, I could no longer get rid of the special expectations placed on me by the students who were struggling in pain. And I think that although I can't be a "savior", I still have the power to appeal to the society with my pen.I conclude that as long as you go deep into colleges and universities and go deep into the forefront of China's education reform, you will immediately find that any flippant attitude will not be worthy of yourself, let alone thousands of impoverished college students who are fighting against their fate .

It should be admitted that due to long-term repression, some impoverished students have been seriously distorted, but the vast majority of them are still on the journey of active resistance. Therefore, they especially hope that the society will pay attention to their fate.Maybe they have been discriminated against and neglected for a long time, and the inner world of poor students is basically closed. Only when you approach them like friends and listen to them with understanding, can you find out that these are a group of very extraordinary young people , The experience of each of them is a tear-jerking story.Their hearts are very traumatized, and they desperately need medical treatment and comfort. Whether they are pulled or pushed, there may be two fates for them.China is a developing country, and the realization of the four modernizations and national rejuvenation requires us to make great efforts.Attaching importance to the cultivation of high-level talents means attaching importance to China's future destiny. In this sense, paying attention to the fate of poor college students will directly affect the future of China in the next century. Therefore, I have reason to think that my year's hardship may not be in vain, and it is worthwhile to shed so many tears with poor students.

I have thought about the topic for a long time, and this is purely from the experience of the entire interview process. The experience of many impoverished college students made people cry, their unyielding spirit of fighting against fate made people cry, and the touching deeds of so many kind-hearted people in society who selflessly assisted them also made people cry.I believe that these tears made of gold will make more people pay attention to poor students in colleges and universities like the "Hope Project" that pays attention to out-of-school children in mountainous areas.Because, as the leader of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League said, if we help one out-of-school child, China will lose one illiterate; if we help one impoverished college student, there will be one more pillar of national construction in the next century.

Finally, I would like to thank Mr. Deng Yong and the relevant friends of the All-China Federation of Students for their help. Without the strong support of Mr. Deng Yong and his colleagues, it would be difficult for me to successfully complete such a difficult interview task.Brother Kuang Man and editor-in-chief Mr. Long Yin (Xiao Lijun) gave guidance to the work, which added a lot of glory to the work.Ding Xuanyun, Liu Qingjiang, Ren Xiangdong, Chang Yang, Li Chaozhong, Laba Tsering, Fu Qiang, Yueqing, Li Hongxia, Hongzhiqing, Li Jun, Hua Sheng, Fang Yanming, Hou Yajuan, Guo Baoyan, Liu Tao, Yuan Liming, Shao Tianjiang, Sun Xiaofang, Wang Yuantao, Wen Xun, Jiang Ming, Kang Jianbo, and the unknown authors of the short article "Tears on the Road to Studying" (limited to the space, no wonder I didn't list them one by one) provided a lot of valuable background materials and reference articles, which saved me a lot of time. I would like to express my deep gratitude for not running around and working hard.
