珠海市公共汽车公司在市场经济的大潮中不但没有被淹没，反而乘风而起，成为珠海市改革开放年代一个标志性的经典范例。王世泉少小离家老大回，从部队转业的动因很大程度上就是为了照顾年迈的母亲。但是，他的这个心愿一直没有实现。自他担任总经理以来，他的企业共获得市级以上荣誉339项，其中市级238项、省级64项、国家部级以上37项。这些荣誉证书几可等身，但是，王世泉心中最重要的奖项却一直没有实现，那就是为母亲尽孝的心愿。于是，他写了一首诗献给母亲： 继中山、珠海两市的公交公司采访之后，笔者又采访了青岛长途汽车站、厦门航空公司乘务队、哈尔滨铁路局等从天上到地下的有关交通运输方面的先进集体和个人。 在哈尔滨至牡丹江的列车上，笔者和哈尔滨铁路分局宣传部吴部长及客运车公司总经理王清忠一起探讨了市场铁老大如何放下架子，和长途汽车进行生存竞争的理论和实践，感慨良多。哈尔滨地区是我国最早兴办铁路的地区，铁路的历史比城市的历史还要早。黑龙江省的几个城市比如哈尔滨、牡丹江、齐齐哈尔等，大都与兴建铁路有关。铁路在黑龙江人的心目中所占的比重要比外省人重要得多。然而，市场经济一来，铁路系统原来傲视一切的态势立时受到了威胁，尤其是公路交通由于转弯快和小、巧、灵等特点，很快就取得了优势，几百辆上千辆的长途汽车把铁路团团围定，上演了围追堵截争夺客源的交通战。一时间，铁老大酊位置岌岌可危。从哈尔滨开往齐齐哈尔、牡丹江、佳木斯等城市的火车上乘客寥寥，有时列车服务员比乘客还多。在这种情况下，哈尔滨的铁老大们痛定思痛，上上下下决心从市场经济中学会竞争，从竞争中树立企业形象，重新夺回铁老大的位置，使企业立于不败之地。几番回合之后，哈尔滨的铁老大们一点一点收复了失地，在竞争中重振了雄风，再一次成为名副其实的铁老大…… 哈尔滨铁路局客运段京特K1718次车队组建于1998年10月。虽说是一支新队伍，然而他们肩上却扛着一面永不倒的旗帜原1718次车队是连续14年获铁道部命名的红旗列车和全国卫生列车的殊荣，连续14年被黑龙江省政府命名为文明单位标兵，京特一组还被团中央和铁道部联名命名为青年文明号班组的光荣称号。沉甸甸的荣誉，还有沉甸甸的期望，在京特K1718次建队之日就向他们压来，在当前的情势下，他们能否保住红旗不倒？ 京特K1718次车队共有干部职工222人，平均年龄才23.1岁。这是支年轻的队伍，其中大部分职工是被称之为小皇帝、小公主的独生子女，并且都是转业兵和技校生。面对这样的新人新岗位新成员，怎样把他们建成一支思想过硬、作风过硬、技术过硬、甘于奉献、爱岗敬业的队伍呢？车队干部告诉笔者，以人为本、以情动人、做深入细致的思想工作，坚持不懈地有针对性地进行人生观、价值观、革命理想和铁路宗旨教育，在当前市场经济条件下仍然有效管用。 该队二组有个列车员叫杨建鸣，14岁时父母便撒手人寰，她幼小的心灵里过早地饱尝了人世间的苦辣酸甜。对于这样的苦孩子，列车长左秀梅把一腔爱心倾洒到了她的身上。从她分到二组那天起，左秀梅就包下了她的伙食费，在小建鸣生日那天，左车长特意安排为她做了一碗长寿面，像亲姐姐那样又为她买了生日蛋糕。晚上，又组织全组的人员为她过了一个温馨热闹的生日。在车队干部无微不至的关怀与呵护下，杨建鸣健康地成长着。她思想积极向上，工作踏实肯干，为车队干了不少有益的工作，车队抓住这一典型，让她用自己的亲身经历讲自己和车队的故事，在全车队反响很大。并且在分局客运系统技术业务运动会上，取得了演讲比赛第二名的好成绩。 与铁老大竞争的哈尔滨长途汽车公司因时问关系没有前去采访。但笔者却采访了青岛市交运集团公司青岛长途汽车站。原先认为青岛的长途汽车只在本省经营业务，哪想到候车室一看，该站的运营业务竟北达北京、天津，南到福建江浙等十多个省份。该站站长宋定军开玩笑地说：邢老师，若你回北京坐我们的车，我可以直接送您到家！ 宋定军所在的青岛长途汽车站就是青岛人播撒文明的流动哨，也是青岛人展示美好心灵的文明使者。市场经济实际是一本书，因理解不同，便有五颜六色之分，有千奇百怪之态。有的人理解市场经济就是赚钱经济，就是个人主义，就是宁可我负天下人，不可天下人负我。在这种思想驱动下，一些交运部门和私人车主超载强载，野蛮装卸，根本不顾及乘客的个人利益和人身安全，结果酿成多起翻车事故和沉船事故，在我国公布的特大伤亡事故中，交通事故一直占有很重。 厦航乘务队组建于1985年8月17日，现有192名乘务员，以女乘务员居多。第一批空姐已经飞过15个年头了。现在空姐们的平均年龄才21岁。她们身处改革开放前沿，市场经济大潮的滩头，经常看到的是灯红酒绿和拜金主义之下扭曲的心灵，这样一批年轻貌美的漂亮女孩，她们能把中国民航总局授予的最佳乘务队的称号保持下去吗？ 空姐们用自己的一串串故事回答了人们的疑问于新梅的故事。 乘务员于新梅是一位空嫂，电是一位军嫂。她的军人丈夫在她飞上蓝天以后，为了全力支持她的工作，承揽了全部的家务和照顾孩子的事。1996年7月，他们6岁的儿子在公园滑滑梯时，不慎摔断了手臂，被送到医院开刀接骨。儿子的手臂被夹板和纱布厚厚地缠住，行动不便，于新梅的丈夫毕竟也军务在身，既当爹又当妈，忙得团团转，不小心，儿子刚接好的骨头又给摔断了，旧伤未愈，又添新伤。当时于新梅正值连续在飞5个早晚班，几天不能回家，她丈夫为了不影响她飞行，硬是咬着牙没有把儿子的伤情告诉她。当于新梅飞行回来，看见儿子疼得满脸？目痕地找妈妈时，她心疼、内疚，抚摸着儿子的伤口泪如泉涌，说不出话来。 花生米先放在烤箱中温热一下再送给头等舱的客人，口感又脆又香；夜航关天花板顶灯时，先帮客人打开阅读灯；水果、饮料像商店里一样摆放得美观整齐；航程中，一次次地巡视客舱，把对旅客的关怀，做在服务呼唤铃按响之前……
