Chapter 63 Chapter 63: The Map by the Bed

"Thomas, I believe you." As he struggled to regain consciousness, he heard a woman speak to him.He didn't remember the voice, but it seemed gentle and authoritative. He continued to struggle, heard himself moaning, felt himself shifting on the bed. He finally opened his eyes, blinking to adjust to the light overhead, and noticed that the person who had woken him had closed the door, not knowing who it was. "Wait," he said, but it sounded like a hoarse whisper. With his own willpower, he propped himself up on his elbows and pushed himself to sit up.He was alone in the room, and the only sounds heard were distant shouts and the occasional rumble of thunder. His mind began to clear up, and he found that he was fine except for a little dizziness. This means that his brain is still there, barring a scientific miracle.

On the table next to the bed, he saw a manila folder with the word Thomas written in large letters. He sat down on the edge of the bed with his legs thrown aside, and picked up the folder. There are two sheets of paper inside. The first is a map of the WICKED headquarters building, with several routes through the building marked in black marker. He quickly looked at the second one, which was a letter addressed to him, signed by Prime Minister Page.He put down the map and read the letter from the beginning. Thomas stared at the paper, his mind racing. There was another bang in the distance, pulling him back to reality. He believed in Brenda, and she believed in the Prime Minister, and now all he could do was leave.

He folded the letter and the map, stuffed them in his back pocket, and stood up slowly. His strength recovered quickly, and he felt strange about it.He ran to the door and peeped out into the corridor and saw that there was no one there. He slipped out just in time to see two people running from behind. They didn't even look at him, and Thomas realized that the chaos caused by the attack of the Righteous Army probably saved his life. He took out his map and studied it carefully, finding the black line that took him to the tunnel. It shouldn't take long to get there. He memorized that path, and began jogging down the hall, looking for the other two paths Prime Minister Page had marked on the map.

After walking a few steps, he stopped and looked ahead, feeling very surprised. He zoomed in on the map, to make sure, maybe he hadn't read it correctly, but there was no doubt that was how it was leading. WICKED originally hid the Immune in the maze.
