Legend 杨力 8186Words 2018-03-13
The elephant bells were ringing, and Xuanzang sat on the elephant, facing the bright morning sun, and accompanied by several monks, he began to pay homage to the holy sites of Tianzhu, traveling and learning... After studying in Nalanda Temple for five years, Xuanzang began to travel around five India and learn from others. He was thirty-seven years old at the time. On the road, people come and go, some are sitting on elephants, some are walking, beside a well, a few women in tulle dresses with water pots on their heads pass by... In the five years since he arrived in India, Xuanzang has only focused on learning Buddhist scriptures. Now that his studies were completed, Xuanzang was willing to feel at ease, and he was in the mood to walk around.

Although Xuanzang has been in India for five years, it seems that he has only now begun to feel the beauty of these exotic phoenixes. what!India is so beautiful. When Xuanzang and the others arrived at a farm, they saw that the sky was as blue as a jewel, and white clouds were floating there. Not far away came beautiful and moving Tianzhu music. After a while, there were ringing bells, a happy elephant came, and a burst of drum music. It turned out that a welcoming team had returned. On the elephant with red silk, sits the bride with red make-up, next to the groom riding a tall horse.Behind the band is the wedding party walking and dancing. Men, women and children are all dressed in costumes and dancing happily...

Xuanzang and the others stopped by the roadside. The elder of the welcoming team was the groom's father. He recognized Xuanzang and warmly invited them to the wedding dinner. In the evening, Xuanzang and the others attended the wedding ceremony of the bride and groom.Xuanzang folded his palms together to bless the bride and groom. The groom is warm and strong, and the bride is very beautiful, wearing a red gauze dress, a big red scarf on her head, a red cinnabar mole between her eyebrows, nose ornaments, forehead ornaments, earrings, and shining bracelets and anklets on her face.Smiling happily and shyly, the bride accepted Master Xuanzang's blessing for them.

At the wedding banquet, beautiful Tianzhu girls danced and toasted. They all wore long headscarves, wrapped in sari, and tied copper bells on their feet. They danced gracefully and played beautiful Indian music, making people feel like they are in a fairyland... Their slender hands and foot bells seem to say: Ah, beautiful bride, you are so happy, how I envy you! When the next autumn harvest comes, I will sit in the elephant's wedding sedan chair, put on the bride's wedding dress, drink mellow wedding wine, and accept the blessings of guests from all over the world. They stayed in the village that night and set off again the next day.

Xuanzang was still sitting on the back of the elephant, facing the rising sun, walking towards the ancient road... The scenery of Tianzhu is beautiful and picturesque, but Xuanzang's heart is not on the scenery, what he yearns for is to worship at the holy sites. Therefore, they first went to worship at the mountain temple where the Tathagata Buddha taught the Dharma. This mountain is called Jiufeng 15 miles away from the city. This mountain is called Jiufeng because of its many vultures and the peculiar shape of its peaks and rocks (it is located in Bodh Gaya. seventy kilometers north).

At the foot of the mountain, Xuanzang got off Dingxiang and climbed up the steps of the mountain road with several monks accompanying him.Along the way, you can see green pines, verdant cypresses and ancient trees, and the scenery is very beautiful. In particular, a clear spring flows out from the back of the cliff, and it merges into a small stream with gurgling water. There are various pebbles at the bottom of the stream, and fish wander among them, which looks very leisurely.Strange rocks and rocks can be seen everywhere, and a few kingfishers pass by from time to time in the mountains... Xuanzang sighed to the accompanying monks: "It really is a spiritual mountain. No wonder the Tathagata Buddha chose this mountain to preach."

After crossing the small stone bridge and going up the stone steps, you can see the white pagoda and temple on the Jiufeng platform. Two towering bodhi trees have gone beyond the temple wall, and the tall and straight branches of the pavilion can be seen.Walking into the temple where the Tathagata Buddha preached, Xuanzang became excited. He said to the monks who accompanied him: "It should have been so lively when the Tathagata Buddha taught "Dharma Flower" and "Great Prajna" here. Although it is not as good as it was then, it is very solemn. It is a blessing for me to be able to visit the holy site in person. "

The stone steps from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain are five or six miles long. There are two small pagodas on the way: the next one is called "Xiacheng", which means that anyone, even the king, has to go down and walk here; the previous one is called "Superior Vehicle", which means to eliminate ordinary people. The accompanying monk said: "Master has traveled thousands of miles from China to come here, which also adds glory to Jiutai Temple. Master Jiexian has sent someone to inform the abbot of the temple. You see, they have already greeted you at the gate."

When Xuanzang looked up again, sure enough, many monks came out to welcome them from the gate of the monastery, and he hurriedly quickened his pace. When he arrived at the gate of the monastery, Xuanzang put his palms together to pay homage to the abbot of the monastery, and the abbot and other monks also bowed their hands together to him. After entering the main hall, Xuanzang saw a golden statue of Tathagata Buddha in the center of the hall. The Tathagata sat on the lotus platform and preached the Dharma, like the incense burner in front of it was filled with smoke... Xuanzang and his party all burned incense and bowed to the Tathagata statue. After the visit, listen to the abbot of the temple talk about the history of the temple. He said: "At that time, Shakyamuni had preached here for fifty years. After seven days and seven nights of practice in Bodh Gaya, after attaining great enlightenment, he turned the wheel of Dharma with his five disciples in Sarnath for the first time. ), and from then on, the Buddha often preached in this area. He used this as his base, but traveled to many countries on both sides of the Ganges.”

The old abbot paused and said: "Until the Buddha passed away at the age of eighty, there was hardly a day when he did not teach the Dharma, and there was not a day when he did not preach the Way." The old abbot looked at the Tathagata statue reverently, clasped his hands together, and continued: "The Buddha does not advocate asceticism, nor is he opposed to indulgence. He has saved others and himself throughout his life. He is worthy of living Buddha, and his merits are immeasurable." Xuanzang was very moved when he heard this. He clasped his hands together and made a wish to the golden statue of Buddha:

"Buddha is in heaven. My disciple traveled thousands of miles from China to Jiutai Temple. Today, I have the honor to look at the golden statue of your preaching. After returning to China, my disciple must follow the Buddha's will and take saving others and myself as my duty in this life. I must do my best. I spend my whole life proclaiming all dharmas and saving all sentient beings.” Accompanied by monks, Xuanzang came to the place where Kassapa gathered the Tripitaka again, which was a stone chamber in a bamboo garden.Back then, after the Tathagata passed away, his great disciple Kassapa selected 999 great arhats who had completed their practice to gather here. This bamboo forest abode was the dormitory for Buddhist monks when the Buddha preached here. After a hundred years, these bamboo houses are of course no longer the original appearance, but the swaying bamboo forest, the Zen lamp stone room, the small bridge and the stream... the morning bell and the evening drum, the Buddha nature is still there. Da Jiaye is the designated successor of Sakyamuni, and he was the earliest disciple of Calai Buddha when he founded Buddhism in the early days. The old abbot told Xuanzang a story about Buddhist scriptures. He said: "At that time, Da Kassapa did not choose Ananda, he said to Ananda: 'Your troubles have not been eliminated, don't pollute the pure sentient beings. Because everyone who stays here must have the three knowledges, the six connections, and the mastery of the Tathagata. One who hides all dharmas without error.' "Ananda was ashamed when he heard this. After that, he practiced diligently for a whole year until he completely broke the shackles of the cycle of life and death and became an arhat. Then he came back and knocked on the door. Kasyapa knew that he had broken the knot of the three-world delusion, so he asked: "'Is Ananda's bondage broken?' "'Broken.' "'Since the bondage is broken, the door will not be opened again, and you can come in if you want.' "So Ananda came in through the crack of the door and bowed to Kasyapa. Kassapa held his hand and said: "'I want you to break off all the taints, break the shackles of samsara and the illusion of the three realms, so let me go, you should understand my intentions, and don't generate resentment.' "'If I still feel resentful, how can I say that my obscuration is over.' Ananda replied. "From then on, Maha Kassapa left Ananda to preach together, and Maha Kassapa was promoted as the lord, and this bamboo forest and stone room became a holy place where Tathagata's disciples gathered to preach." The abbot also said: "Ananda is one of the top ten disciples of Sakyamuni, and he is also the closest person to Sakyamuni in his later years." After hearing this, Xuanzang was in awe of the sacred sites left by the great Kassapa and Ananda. He was deeply honored to be able to visit this holy place in person, and he put his palms together and recited silently: "Great Kashgar master, after returning to the Tang Dynasty, I will gather with the Tripitaka and spread the Buddha's teachings like you." The gathering of Mahakassapa was the first Buddhist gathering after the Buddha passed away. They sorted out and compiled Sakyamuni's sayings, determined the two canons of scriptures and Vinaya, and laid the foundation for the establishment of the Tripitaka of Buddhist scriptures, Vinaya, and Lun. Xuanzang also visited the stone chamber where the Tathagata Buddha sat in meditation. In front of the stone room is an Ananda rock, which is the stone of Ananda's meditation. Ananda is another great disciple of Sakyamuni. The dean introduced to Xuanzang: "The former Venerable Ananda sat in meditation on this stone. On a dark night, suddenly a huge vulture flew down on the stone, flapping its wings and making a strange sound. Ananda was amazed. When he was at a loss, the Tathagata The Buddha stretched out his hand from the stone wall, stroked the top of Ananda's head gently, and said kindly: "It was changed by the demon, don't be afraid." Ananda was comforted by the Buddha, and finally he settled down and continued to practice. His Holiness." Xuanzang visited the bird tracks on the rocks and the caves on the rock wall, and he sighed in his heart for the pious teacher-student relationship between Tathagata and Ananda, which had an impact on his teacher-student relationship with Kuiji and others after returning to China. After visiting Jiutai Temple, everyone was sweating because of the hot weather. Not far away, there was a natural hot spring. The abbot asked several disciples to take Xuanzang and the others to take a bath. This hot spring is in a cave, surrounded by verdant green trees, the spring pool is clear, and the water temperature can last for a long time. When Xuanzang and the others arrived, there were already people taking a bath in the pool. Xuanzang and the others took off their cassocks and went down to the spring pool. They soaked in the warm and clear spring water, and the fatigue of several days disappeared... "Master, is this spring water good?" asked the monks. "It's so refreshing, but what I want most is to go on a pilgrimage to the Niranchan River, where the shepherdess rescued the Buddha. If I can bathe in the river, let the holy Niranchan River wash away all the turbidity on my body forever, That's great." "Master, we will definitely accompany you." "Thank you, elders." Xuanzang and the others felt the warmth of the water while listening to the sound of dripping water on the stone wall, feeling indescribably clean... Xuanzang went to visit the Wild Goose Pagoda again. The wild goose is a highly respected holy bird in the Buddhist world, and there are many legends about it.This wild goose pagoda is called Seng Suo in Sanskrit, and it is located in front of the monastery on the eastern peak of Tuo Luo Shi Luo Tian He. On this day, Xuanzang and his party boarded the Wild Goose Pagoda. After they worshiped, the abbot of the temple introduced the origin of the Goose Pagoda to them.He said: "This monastery originally belonged to Theravada Buddhism. According to the teaching rules, monks could eat three kinds of clean meat. Once, because they couldn't buy meat, the monk and cook were very anxious. One day, a group of wild geese flew by, and the monk and cook said : "'Today the monks have no meat to eat. Could it be that the Prince Mahasattva who sacrificed his life to feed the tiger will be reincarnated!' "As soon as I finished speaking, I saw the leading goose flying in front of me responding to the sound, stripping off its feathers and falling from the clouds. The monk and cook were ashamed when they saw it. When the news came out, all the monks were surprised. They wept and sighed for the goose , and built a pagoda to bury the wild goose, in memory of it giving up its life to preach. Since then, the wild goose has become a respected bird in the Buddhist world." Hearing this, Xuanzang remembered how he was rescued by two geese after getting lost in the swamp, and he respected the geese even more, so he worshiped devoutly again, and said to the monks: "After I return to China, I must also build two wild goose pagodas so that future generations can learn the spirit of wild geese sacrificing their lives to save others." Monastery monks also said: "Sakyamuni Buddha was once trapped in a mountain temple by a flood and stopped cooking for ten days. At the time of the crisis, a group of wild geese suddenly flew up from the sky. The Buddha said silently: 'O wild geese! I am about to starve to death. If you are a Bodhisattva If you come, please drop one.” As soon as the words fell, a wild goose fell from the sky. The Buddha was so moved that he buried the wild goose. Afterwards, he built a wild goose pagoda at the place of burial for worship. From then on, the Buddha Wild goose pagodas were built one after another in the world, on the one hand, to commemorate the Buddha's heart of "no food for ten days, no evil thoughts", and on the other hand, to express gratitude to the immeasurable merits of wild geese." Xuanzang and the others were amazed when they heard this. On this day, the sky was clear and blue, with only strands of clouds drifting among the clouds, showing the unique beauty of blue sky and white clouds in Tianzhu.Xuanzang finally came to the side of the Nelian Zen River (a tributary of the Ganges), and the Indian monk told Xuanzang the true story of the girl who saved the Buddha back then. It turns out that Sakyamuni practiced asceticism for six years after he became a monk. He did not eat, drink, or wash, and even only ate one grain of rice a day. effectiveness. When he was still Prince Siddhartha, when he came to this crystal-clear river, he was touched by the cleanliness of the river, and he suddenly realized a truth: The filth of the body cannot remove the filth of the spirit, and the filth of the body can only aggravate the filth of the mind. So he went to the river and washed away the filth of six years with clean water. After washing and going ashore, he took off his dirty and torn clothes, but just when he wanted to stand up, he felt dizzy and fell down on the river beach, losing his mind. perception…… At this time, a girl with a milk jug on her head came to the beach by the river. She led a cow to the river. She put the cow in the river to drink water, and then she took off her clothes and prepared to take a bath in the river as usual. .But at this moment, she suddenly found a shirtless man lying on the river beach, she put on a dress instinctively and wanted to find another place where no one was around to get into the river. When she went to lead the oxen and approached the lying man, she inadvertently found that the man was pale and skinny... No, this man must have fainted from starvation, he must have not eaten for many days. The girl suddenly felt pity, and she didn't care about being shy at this moment... Thus began a sublime scene that will always remain in the hearts of Buddhists: The girl lifted Prince Siddhartha's head, brought the milk jug to his mouth, and called to him softly: "Please drink some milk, sir, you are starving. Otherwise you will die." Prince Siddhartha, who was in a coma, swallowed the sweet milk instinctively. Gradually, he heard this kind and anxious call, and after drinking the milk, he finally woke up, and slowly opened his eyes: what! The one who rescued him in front of him was a beautiful girl, she blinked her kind eyes, and finally smiled when she saw the prince opened his eyes... But at this moment, several disciples of the prince came to find him, and when they saw the prince lying in the arms of a young girl drinking the milk she fed, they were extremely surprised. They thought that the prince must not be able to bear the suffering of the ascetic monk, so he secretly came to the river to have a tryst with the girl, so they left angrily. After Sakyamuni was rescued, he finally died: asceticism, hunger strike, and dirt are not enough to realize great wisdom. The milk of the shepherd gave him a new life and changed his practice path since then. It is said that after the Buddha became a Buddha under the bodhi tree, he went to the banks of the Nelian Chan River to find his savior, but he did not see the girl with the milk jug after searching for several days. In order to find the girl who rescued him, the Buddha searched for the sunset from the morning glow, and found the west of the river from the east. beautiful shadow... Hearing this, Xuanzang respected the shepherdess who rescued Sakyamuni. He stood by the river for a long time, gazing at the clear river, letting the wind blow the monk's lapel... When can all people realize the great wisdom, just like the clear river, it can wash away the filth deep in the heart.Human beings have a Buddha mind in the first place, but they are blocked by filth. what!Nilian Chanhe, Nadapala shepherd, the Buddhist family will always respect kindness and you! Xuanzang silently walked to the river, put his hands together and prayed... Then, he squatted down, took up a handful of water with both hands, washed his face, and said to his disciples: "The face is the outer mirror of the soul. Let us all wash with holy water to remove all filth from the body." So everyone washed up with the river water in their hands. After paying homage to the Nilian Chan River, Xuanzang went to pay homage to the Bodhi tree where the Buddha became a Buddha, the famous Buddhist monument - Gaya Bodhi Tree Court. After crossing the Nilian Chan River, we will soon reach the city of Gaya after walking for a while. The day Sakyamuni practiced seven days and seven nights under the bodhi tree and became a Buddha was December 8, 530 BC, which has been designated as the "Day of Enlightenment" by Buddhism. When he arrived in Gaya, Xuanzang rode on his horse and saw the towering tree from a distance, and he speeded up when he was in a hurry. When we arrived at the Bodhi Tree Court, it turned out that a large temple had been built here, with a pagoda, a house for monks, and a lecture hall. These buildings were funded by successive kings, ministers, monks and wealthy businessmen. Xuanzang came under the Bodhi tree at the back of the courtyard, and saw that the tree was five feet high, with a tall trunk, lush branches and leaves, and a pavilion like a cover.A monk in the temple said to Xuanzang: "When the Buddha was alive, this tree was hundreds of feet high. It has been cut down many times, and it is still four or five feet high now." He also said: "This Bodhi tree is very strange. No matter how it was destroyed, it miraculously recovered soon. It is said that Ashoka had ordered it to be cut down and burned with fire, but soon it came back to life and thrived. Ashoka was very ashamed, so instead of destroying it, he took care of it." After hearing this, Xuanzang secretly admired the vitality of the Buddha tree.He was imagining the scene of the Buddha sitting in lotus position under the tree for seven days and seven nights. A monk's introduction interrupted his contemplation. The monk said: "The branches and leaves of this tree are green and shiny, and they don't wither in autumn and winter. However, on the day of Tathagata's Nirvana, the leaves suddenly withered. Come water and clean the tree with milk." Xuanzang nodded after hearing this, and began to worship devoutly. He knelt down and put his forehead on the ground, saying sadly: "Buddha! When you have practiced under this tree for seven days and seven nights, I don't know where I am still wandering; I have come after six reincarnations. You have become a Buddha, but I have not yet obtained the scriptures. , when will I reach your realm! It seems that my karma is still very heavy!" The monks who spent the summer in the monastery gathered around when they heard the weeping. At that time, thousands of people came from far and near, and they all listened with emotion... Xuanzang cried and bowed to the ground: "Buddha, you practiced under this tree for seven days and seven nights and realized the supreme enlightenment. Your great enlightenment made me understand that Buddha is enlightenment. "Buddha, Buddha! You once gave up your noble throne, your beautiful wife, and your lovely son. You came to this deep mountain and old forest alone, enduring the wind and rain, hunger and cold. You You are not afraid of the coming of night, you are not afraid of the violence of wild beasts, what is your purpose? To get rid of the misery in the world. "For seven days and seven nights, you cut off the interference of all evil thoughts and obstacles, and finally became enlightened and became a Buddha. You transcended the realm of life and death, realized the cycle of life and death, helped all beings to end their troubles, and saved all souls from suffering. Buddha! You are worthy It is the ark that extradites sentient beings out of the sea of suffering." exactly: Listening to Xuanzang's mourning words, more and more people gathered around, and all the monks were all moved by Xuanzang's words. They couldn't help admiring Xuanzang, and they all wanted to listen to his next words with solemn expressions. "Buddha! You have overcome all kinds of temptations and traps, and finally realized the Buddha-nature. You emphasized that all living beings have Buddha-nature, and you are nothing more than being entangled by troubles and delusions. How many sentient beings have been awakened by your enlightenment, your Buddha How many sins have been saved by the heart. Buddha! Disciple is willing to follow your footsteps to carry forward your Buddha's will; follow your heart track to save all living beings." Suddenly, there were thousands of people around Xuanzang. They heard Xuanzang's sad words, and they all fell to the ground with him and sobbed... Thousands of people gathered around the Bodhi Temple to listen to Xuanzang's sacrificial speech, and the news that everyone knelt down and wept shocked the whole temple. "Amitabha." When people saw the abbot coming, they hurriedly made way for him. He walked under the tree, and when he saw Xuanzang, he asked: "This mage is so devout to the Buddha, it must be unusual. You come from a long way... Could it be that you are the eminent monk Xuanzang from China?" "It's the poor monk." Xuanzang looked up and saw the old master, but he didn't know who it was. A monk next to him said, "This is the abbot of the Bodhi Temple." After hearing this, Xuanzang hurriedly bowed to the abbot. The old mage said: "I heard that you came to our country to seek the Tao through all kinds of difficulties and dangers alone. Everyone is very moved. On behalf of all the monks in the monastery, I welcome you and ask you to stay and give a lecture for a few days." Xuanzang put his palms together and bowed his head hurriedly, and said: "I will obey, but my knowledge is shallow, and I hope the Master will give me more guidance." "Master, you are welcome, please follow me into the temple." "The disciple obeys." So Xuanzang went to his meditation room with the monastery masters and accepted their warm hospitality. The masters of the temple also accompanied Xuanzang to visit the famous Gaya Pagoda. This pagoda is also called Dabodhi Temple or Dajue Temple. It is a square pagoda with a pointed bottom and a height of 50 meters. It was first built by King Ashoka. This is the place where the Buddha sat in full posture when he became a Buddha. There are golden statues of Buddha inside and outside the pagoda. After bidding farewell to the Bodhi Temple, Xuanzang went on a pilgrimage to Sarnath accompanied by several monks. Sarnath is located in the state of Borneo (north of Varanasi, India today), where Sakyamuni turned the wheel of Dharma (dharma) for the first time after he became a Buddha, and has become one of the four holy sites of Buddhism. After Sakyamuni was rescued by a shepherdess on the Nilianchan River, five attendants sent by his father arrived at Sarnath, which is the place where the Buddha first preached after he became a Buddha. Xuanzang was deeply moved when he saw this Buddhist shrine surrounded by tall buildings, heavy pavilions, courtyards and temples, surrounded by smoke. When the abbot of Luyeyuan learned that Xuanzang had arrived, he had already been waiting outside the gate of the courtyard. When Xuanzang arrived, the abbot put his hands together and said: "The mage has worked hard, and 1,500 monks in the whole courtyard welcome the mage." Xuanzang hurriedly clapped his hands together and said, "Thank you, Master, for your interruption. I heard that Sarnath is a sacred place for Buddhism, and I am very fascinated. It is a great honor to have it here today." After saluting, Xuanzang and the others were welcomed in. The abbot introduced a tragic story of Sarnath to Xuanzang. He said: "In the past, Sarnath was a forest and field, inhabited by more than a thousand deer. The king often came to hunt. They set fire and shot arrows, causing countless deaths and injuries to the deer. "...The Bodhisattva Deer King was very heartbroken, so he went to ask the king, saying: 'Your Majesty, you have to kill so many deer at one time and take them away. If you don't eat them all, they will rot. Why don't you let me send you one every day, so that you can eat more deer? We can eat fresh deer every day, so our deer can be less burned.' "The king thought about it and agreed. So the Bodhisattva Deer King sent a deer to the king every day. One day, it was the turn of a pregnant doe to be sent. The Bodhisattva Deer King was very sympathetic and decided to go instead. He died. The king was very moved when he heard about it, and sighed: "My God! I have the body of a man, but the heart of a deer; you have the body of a deer, but the heart of a man." "The king then pardoned all the deer and decided not to kill the deer again, hence the name Deer Wilderness." Xuanzang was very moved when he heard this, and sighed: "The deer is so kind, what's more, what's more, people! Buddhism is truly merciful and merciful, and it helps the world! That's why the incense continues." Xuanzang looked up at the tall Buddha statue of Tathagata Buddha turning the wheel of Dharma in the monastery. This is a brass cast Buddha statue, so it looks golden and lifelike. Xuanzang worshiped the Buddha statue devoutly, and said silently in his heart: "Tathagata Buddha, my disciple can finally make a pilgrimage to you. May the Buddha bless the disciple to return to the east land after studying." Under the guidance of the abbot, Xuanzang visited the world-renowned Ashoka Stone Pillar. This was built by Ashoka, the famous Indian king of the generation.Ashoka unified India in the 2nd century BC, and he greatly promoted Buddhism. He built many pagodas and Buddhist temples all over the country. This stone pillar is one of the main Buddhist temple buildings of Ashoka. It is now a national treasure of India and has become part of the national emblem of India. The elders in the temple introduced to Xuanzang: "Master, this stone pillar was built by King Wuyou. It is more than seventy feet high. It is clean and holy. It can show the images of all living beings, and it can also distinguish between good and evil." "Oh, it's so holy." Xuanzang sighed. The elder pointed to the tower behind the stone pillar and said: "Master, please look, this hundred-foot-high pagoda was also built by King Wuyou." Xuanzang looked at it and praised: "King Wuyou's contribution to Buddhism is really great." Xuanzang also paid homage to the pagoda where Aruoqiao Chen Ru and other five people welcomed the Buddha.A Ruoqiao, Chen Ru and other five people were the five family members who followed Sakyamuni to practice Buddhism when he became a monk.Because they were looking for Siddhartha, who was still the prince at that time, they saw the prince lying in the arms of a young girl by the river to receive milk in the Nilian Chan River. They mistakenly thought that the prince was weak-willed and defeated by beauty, so they left angrily. In fact, it was the Buddha who misguidedly practiced the bitter way and passed out by the river without eating or washing.Later, after the prince realized the true fruit under the Bodhi tree, he walked towards the Sarnath. At this time, the Tathagata Buddha was full of spirits, with a golden Buddha light on his head. They knew that they had misunderstood, so they greeted the Buddha. After talking about his own enlightenment, Luyeyuan became the place where the Buddha first turned the wheel of Dharma (dharma). The elder abbot said to Xuanzang: "Buddha's disciples once debated whether they should cultivate the Tao in asceticism or in peace and happiness. The Buddha replied: 'You should practice the middle way to get the right result.'" After hearing this, Xuanzang said silently: abide by the middle way, and must remember the teachings of the Buddha. Xuanzang visited Jizu Mountain again. At night, at the foot of Jizu Mountain, the monk told Xuanzang the Buddhist story of Jizu Mountain. Jizu Mountain is the place where the Buddha Kasyapa Nirvana. On this holy mountain, the peak is as high as the clouds, the three peaks are as strong as the clouds, the momentum is majestic, the cliffs are as steep as the cliffs, the ravines are thousands of feet deep, and the main peak soars to reach the sky. The ancient trees on the mountain are towering, the mountain streams and streams are vertical and horizontal, and the waterfalls are splashing, which is very magnificent. Local monks introduced that Dajiaye, the great disciple of Tathagata Buddha, obtained six supernatural powers and eight liberations. When Tathagata Nirvana, he gave him the golden silk cassock presented by his aunt and queen, and taught him the essence of Dharma Zang, and asked him to spread it widely. To help all living beings, to help all living beings transcend reincarnation. For more than 20 years, he has always followed the instructions of the Buddha and maintained the righteous Dharma. When he was going to nirvana, he knocked on the mountain with a tin stick and split the mountain into three peaks.Later generations built a pagoda specially for Kasyapa on this mountain. Sometimes at night, there are torches flickering on the top of the mountain. Xuanzang wanted to go up to see it, but the monk said that he couldn't go up, otherwise he wouldn't be able to see anything. After hearing this, Xuanzang was full of admiration for Da Kasyapa's Dharma. At the dawn of the Buddha, Xuanzang and the others came to the beautiful and mysterious Ganges. The Ganges River is like the Yellow River in China. She is the originator of Indian culture and the mother river of India. There are Buddhist holy sites on both sides of the Ganges River. The Ganges, also known as the holy river, is three or four miles wide, and the width of the sea of people is more than ten miles. They call the Ganges River the blessed water, and the Indians believe that the river water can drive away evil spirits. Therefore, people regard taking a morning bath in the Ganges River as something that can bring good luck and avoid bad luck. Although Xuanzang had experienced the Ganges many times, every time he saw this holy river, he was very excited. Xuanzang also took off his cassock like other Hindus, and walked towards the river... They held the river water in their hands and poured it on their bodies, talking and laughing while taking a morning bath. After a while, the fiery red sun rose from the east, and the sky was full of red clouds... After Xuanzang and the others finished their bath, they put on their cassocks and sat cross-legged by the river at dawn.
