We just got off the old man's van and said thank you to him.
The old man said that this is the nearest small train station, and he thought he was lucky, but the next train to the east will arrive in an hour.
The two of us sat on chairs by the platform of the deserted train station without saying a word. It was like a "cold war". I knew the familiar feeling.

"There's a payphone over there," he said.
