Suning Appliance is one of them. I have followed and studied Suning Appliance for 10 years. In 2006, I published a monograph "Suning: The Essence of Growth" on Suning. In the preface of that book, I wrote such a paragraph: "I pay attention to Suning not only because it has created many talents in the industry. standards, iconic status, and its original concepts and models in the industry to guide the development of the industry. I think it is more worthwhile to discuss, as an enterprise, where is the driving force for Suning’s rapid growth? Supporting its rapid and steady growth What is the foundation behind it? How does it guide and promote the growth of the entire industry through the growth of the enterprise, so as to establish its banner and benchmark position in the industry? What basic laws are followed in its development and path? What is its future path?"

At that time, I walked into Suning with some questions like this, systematically sorted out and summarized the development process of Suning 15 years after its establishment, and tried to find answers from it. It should be said that the systematic research that took more than a year at that time gave me a lot of gains and solved many doubts.But, frankly speaking, there are still some doubts in those days. Among these doubts, there are not only unanswered or insufficient answers, but also uncertain problems that are happening. For example, as the founder and business leader of Suning, Zhang Jindong, what is the relationship between his personal outlook on life, ideas, ideas, wisdom, character, and personality and the growth and development of Suning?What will happen to Suning who has entered the post-Zhang Jindong stage in the future?Suning has been growing rapidly. After becoming a large enterprise with a level of 100 billion (the annual sales of Suning was about 40 billion yuan at that time), how will it solve the problems in the management of large enterprises?Before becoming an industry leader, Suning's goal was very clear, which was to catch up with competitors; but after becoming an industry leader, what is Suning's goal?What will Suning do about this? ...

The main reason for doubts at that time was the limitation of history.Because some questions need to be answered by history, and this kind of history has not yet begun or has just begun for Suning at that time. The year 2006, when "Suning: The Essence of Growth" was published, was an extremely important year in Suning's 20-year development.This year, Suning invested heavily in the construction of the SAP/ERP system, which was later known as the "World Retail Information Beacon Project", successfully launched, and thus began the accelerated development of Suning in the past five years: surpassing competitors in one fell swoop and becoming the industry leader To be the leader and become a large enterprise worth hundreds of billions.It is also in the five years since this year that Suning has launched a series of strategic actions that have brought great impact on the industry chain innovation and integration, marketing transformation and a new round of corporate internal management transformation and reengineering.

Among them, there are not only places that are in line with the previous 15 years, but also many refreshing breakthroughs and innovations. On the whole, Suning is becoming more and more mature both in thought and in action.Obviously, the book "Su Ning: The Essence of Growth" cannot reflect all of this. December 26, 2010 is the 20th anniversary of the founding of Suning Appliance. I believe that every Suning employee will carefully reflect on every step they have taken in the past 20 years. They have reason to cheer for today's success. Standing at the point of Suning's 20-year development, as I have been paying attention to and researching Suning's development for many years, while sending a sincere blessing to Suning, I hope to run through Suning's 20-year development history and study more deeply. Things that evolve and change and those that stay the same.

The development of Suning has already attracted the attention of all aspects of the society. There are also many monographs and papers on Suning. The visible Suning has been researched from various perspectives, and I pay more attention to the invisible Suning, driving and supporting. What is the force behind Suning's growth.I believe that the true meaning of Suning's growth lies in the power behind it.In the past, I only discovered one or two of them.
