Chapter 1 Excerpts from Overseas Reviews

(Excerpted from the reader's paste column of the Amazon online bookstore) Imagine the holiest object in human history, and imagine that this sacred object has been missing for 3,000 years. Then, imagine that you are sitting in a comfortable chair, surrounded by a small circle of familiar friends, listening to a chatty, trustworthy and famous reporter tell about his amazing and sometimes dangerous discoveries Journey - to find the ultimate link between human beings and God. That's exactly what Hancock achieves in this contemporary adventure in the search for the Ark of the Covenant.Whether searching for clues in the museum, or crossing the battle zone full of guns and bullets, searching for ancient times on the holy lake of Tana, or going deep into the desert to investigate ancient ruins, the author is supported by the strong belief of the explorer time and time again. What did he discover? You will find the answer in this book.

——Anonymous (1996.8.21) As an archaeologist, I enjoy reading works that explore ancient mysteries.Hancock is a phenomenal writer who, if he wanted to, could make people believe that the Earth is flat! His work reads like a detective novel, full of magical adventures.Although I don't quite agree with his assertion about the location of the Ark, this book is still an excellent read for us to understand the secret history of the Ark and the ancient legends of Ethiopia. ——Y. Maglori (1997.4.4) I was completely stunned! No one could have imagined that the legendary Ark of the Covenant in the Bible actually existed, but Dr. Hancock has made it a living fact.I can't say enough about this book and the author's spirit of exploration... This is one of the most wonderful books I've ever read.

[email protected] (1997.4.7) This book is like an adventure novel. At first, everything seems so ridiculous, but when Hancock presents all the evidence he found, you will cast any doubts.I couldn't cover up, so I lost many hours of sleep. — [email protected] (1997.11.23) In this work, Hancock scans our ancient times with other eyes and establishes his authority.Like the author, since I watched "Raiders of the Lost Ark" when I was 10 years old, I have always maintained a strong interest in the mystery of the closet.I must admit that I have learned a lot more from this book than I have learned in the past 15 years.Whether Jorgen was actually hiding in Ethiopia, I may never find out. However, the author has laid a solid foundation for his discoveries... This book has influenced me so much that I am now reading Hancock's other works.

[email protected] (1998.1.5) It's the only book I've read twice, and it's quite fascinating. From the very first page, I was so captivated by it that I couldn't put it down again.Hancock is the Indiana Jones in the real world. His expeditions are based on various archaeological evidence, ancient scriptures and manuscripts, and a large number of myths and legends. You will follow the author to travel around the ancient ruins of Ethiopia, France, Israel, Egypt, Eritrea and the mysterious holy lake of Tana.Grab your handrails and enjoy this amazing journey full of passion, faith and adventure!

[email protected] (1998.3.9) This is quite a wonderful work.I am especially interested in this: Moses is not so much a prophet as a master of science, because he learned many amazing techniques in ancient Egypt... I will go to investigate the terrible power of the ark of the covenant in order to understand it Did it come from God or prehistoric civilization? ——Rudolph Scott (1998.4.7) Hancock is one of the few good writers I keep following, mostly because of his rigorous research approach and rare gift for writing. Here, with his keen insight, he tells everyone about an expedition to find the missing Ark of the Covenant.I love this book.In fact, my personal research on the Bible shows that, supernatural or not, the Ark does exist.Whether the author's conclusions are convincing or not, his nine-year relentless pursuit of them is enough to make this book confusing and full of charm.

——Pedro Luciano (1999.5.26) The magical adventure of reality and history, you must not miss it. ——John Morton (1999.12.2) Hancock has written a fascinating book that showcases his profound knowledge and admirable ability to uncover truths from the dark corners of history.I found this book not only interesting but also informative.Hancock's long career as a journalist enabled him to trace the clues of the Ark along the lines of epics, myths and legends. Is all this real or fictional? The judge on this question is yourself. However, the large amount of evidence presented by Hancock is horrifying: the dangerous journey, the remote holy lake of Tana, the abandoned ancient church, the deserted Jewish village, the incredible prehistoric civilization, the fanatical pagan monks, the true and false. An indistinguishable legend.Bizarre scriptures, incomplete manuscripts, mysterious Templars... and so on, constitute an absolutely wonderful work.

——M.D. McCarver (2000.1.10) A shocking book about a little-known part of the history of the Bible, and the mystery of the Ark translated by Glass... Hancock spent nine years chasing the Ark of the Covenant - after it was mysteriously retrieved from Solomon 3000 years after the temple disappeared.I promise you will hold your breath as the author tries to demystify this history... ——Walter Nicolai (2000.6.5) This book solves one of archaeology's greatest mysteries.Hancock's challenge to traditional academia is convincing and therefore justified. It would be another exciting discovery if the Ark really existed.

You must read this book with an open mind.It is not as challenging as some of the author's other works, such as "The Secret of Mars", but it shows that the author has reached conclusions that orthodox scholars have long been - most of which are doubtful. — the question generated interest. He continues to conduct independent explorations, and thus draws his own conclusions. From this point of view alone, the author's empirical spirit is also commendable. A mystery in itself.Read it carefully and come up with your own answer. ——Segino Florence (2000.8.11)
