New Theory of National History 钱穆 1002Words 2018-03-20
In 1951, Yu collected five theses and compiled them into one book, which was printed successively in Hong Kong and Taiwan. It has been more than twenty years so far.Occasionally check the old and new manuscripts, which have not been compiled into other books, but the genre is similar to this series, and those who can join will be re-cataloged, still under the name, and then published. Each chapter of this book is obtained from studying history from different perspectives, some from special perspectives, and some from changing perspectives. Each topic must be divided into the differences between ancient and modern times, and suggest its evolution. And each work has its common origin, which is based on the current social trend of thought.

Yu Yougu was out of school, so he didn't know why to study history. To increase knowledge and develop insights, first rely on newspapers and magazines.Due to the sudden emergence of the New Culture Movement, it is said that since the Qin Dynasty, there is an autocratic government of the emperor, and a feudal society. Therefore, Yu Zhi's theory is always conservative, and the starting point of Yu Zhi's theory is to seek innovation. It can also be said that those who are Yu Zhishi's whereabouts and directions are all opinions of the current Reform School. Yu Zi took the course of "General History of China" at Peking University for seven consecutive years. All the rest of the history are published after the "Outline of National History".Those who have written about history with a changing perspective, such as "Introduction to Chinese Cultural History", distinguish the ancient times, pre-Qin period, Han Dynasty, Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and point out that Chen has its own evolution. Those who treat history with a special perspective and write books, for example, although they are also divided into eras and items, they only focus on politics. Those who treat history with different perspectives, such as "The Spirit of Chinese History" and this book, etc.Although it is divided into essays and discourses, it is said that there are many points that can be combined, and there is no disease of defending and contradicting.

Fan Yu Zhishi, the rate is based on these three ways. The history of the country is vast, and Yu Chu did not dare to assemble and organize it by himself to form a giant compilation. However, for decades, I have been fortunate enough to be unremitting in learning, and in the end, I have not seen any major contradictions in what I have obtained, so I always forgive myself.Perhaps what I have seen is that it is still in the general history of the country, not the rest of the superficial and ignorant, who dare to offend the public opinion lightly, and make arrogant picks. The history of the country is all there, such as the twenty-five histories and ten books, although they are vast and difficult to find, they can be obtained after just one turn. For the rest of your life, how dare you underestimate the opinions of the people in the world. However, the historical records are detailed, and we should not ignore the solemn things of our ancient ancestors.Yu Zhizhi's history is not intended to be a history, but to confirm the current public opinion. Those who read the rest of the books, if they can be effective in doing what they do, if they meet the trend of current opinions and involve ancient people, they will also study all the old books one by one. sacrifice.I am sincerely lucky. It is not to say that Yu's shallowness and ignorance must have the truth of the ancients.

In the autumn of 1977, Yu Zeng found several manuscripts, and wrote a special article "Re-discussing the Evolution of Chinese Society" to add to this book, reprint it, and write this reprint preface.Later, due to illness, it was not in time to publish it, so it was put on hold for more than ten years. This year, I sorted out the accumulated manuscripts, reorganized them, and arranged them again. The earliest one collected in this book was in 1941, and the last one was in 1987 last year. The gap between before and after has been 46 years. It is about to be published, and the preface to the reprint eleven years ago is still preserved. The entire manuscript has been reread and slightly revised.
