That moment is gone forever, boy!
It's sunk, dead, never looking back!
We look to the past,
Can't help feeling horrified:
Hope's ghosts mourn and weep;
It's you and me, coaxing it to death,
In the dark river of life.

The stream we look at has
Rolling away, never turning back again;
but we stand on
a desolate place,
Like a tombstone in a sign of the dead
Hopes and Fears: O Dawn of Life
Has made them fly away and recede.
