Chapter 13 chant the nile
chant the nile
Month after month, the rain in the mountains rushes
The mysterious Ethiopian valleys;
Snow-covered peaks rise steeply in the desert,
That's Atlas, where the cold and the heat
Embracing strangely, the field is moistened by snow.
Storm rolls air currents and meteorites condense
In the urn above the Nile, constantly
Urging the river to rush forward on a long journey.
In Egypt's land of memory, the floods flooded,
And this is your water, the Nile!You understand that:
Wherever you flow, there are disasters,
There is also refreshing spirit; there are fruits and poisonous.
People, remember it!For knowledge is to you,
Just as this vast river is to Egypt.
