Chapter 27 Long is not necessarily big, short is not necessarily shallow

Montesquieu once said: "The lack of depth of an orator is compensated by the length." This is a pain for the innocent audience. In fact, winning with shortness is not limited to speeches, but also includes many occasions that require quick wit, such as answering questions, writing inscriptions, explaining ridicule, telling jokes, etc.In recent years, when I visited the mainland, I was often forced to write inscriptions in public, and when I visited places of interest, among pavilions, towers and pavilions, I often had to face the four treasures of the study, riding a tiger, and had to write in public. Therefore, the pleasure of boarding is inevitably disappointing.Of course, a little preparation can be made in advance, but it often does not match the reality of the scene, and it is impromptu, but every time there is a good sentence. This may be the so-called "accumulation and thin hair".

The most relaxing time was in the "Bingxin Memorial Hall" in Minhou.I inscribed four words: "like in a jade pot".The audience did not expect the inscription to be so short, but they soon realized that it was taken from Wang Changling's "A Heart of Ice in the Jade Pot", and they responded with heartfelt applause. Changde has a poem wall on the embankment of the Yuan River, engraved with famous poems from ancient and modern times, which is 2.7 kilometers long. The works of Luo Fu, Zheng Chouyu and myself are also listed. The master asked for the title, and I wrote the four characters "The Great Wall of the Country of Poetry" in my big book, which is still full of meaning, and I added two subtitles: "Resist floods outside, guard against time inside".The audience applauded again.

In the northeast of Guilin, there is Lingqu Canal, which was excavated by Qin Shihuang to attack Baiyue. It is not only convenient for boats, but also for water conservancy.I tricked myself into asking "a little bit of consonance and psychic canal".Recently, a tourist came back to Taiwan and told me that he still saw this inscription. The Wuhou Temple in Chengdu, I titled it like this: "The king of Wei has no temple, but the Marquis of Wu has a temple. He weeps and weeps, and the incense burns forever." A recent newspaper reported: Cao Cao still has a temple, but the tomb was robbed and it looked messy. It is in vain to count the organs.

This year's Dragon Boat Festival, Zigui invited me to participate in the grand ceremony of commemorating Qu Yuan.Xiao Xiao, You Huan, Chen Xianren, President Wang Dayong and President Luo Wenling of Mingde University also participated in the cultural forum. At the ceremony, I recited the seventh poem in tribute to Qu Yuan newly written for this occasion: "Zigui Sacrifice Qu Yuan". The poem is eighty-six lines long and takes six minutes to finish.Afterwards, he went to give a speech at Three Gorges University in Yichang. The school arranged for me, Liushahe and Li Yuanluo to visit the ancient relics in the museum.Liushahe title: "What the Chu people lost, the Chu people gained." I made a little twist with the meaning, and titled "What the Chu people lost, the Hubei people gained", which made everyone laugh.

Many newspapers and periodicals in mainland China have interviewed me and of course asked me questions. There are too many questions, and most of them have been forgotten. What impressed me most was the title written by the bimonthly magazine "Xungen" in Henan: "Roots lead to water and sink into the soil, and leaves chase the sun to the sky." This year's Dragon Boat Festival, the title for "Three Gorges Business Daily" is: "Business is only honest, and reports are only true." "Report" is of course also a metaphor for "report".For the "Chutian Metropolis Daily" in Wuhan, my inscription is: "May the Han River flow forever and make Chutian wider."

When directors of many scenic spots ask questions, I often write: "The most beautiful jurisdiction, the most elegant responsibility." These two sentences can almost be used in the world. As for autographing for the audience, if you insist on asking questions, in recent years I have often written such aesthetics: "The high-level music is not necessarily low-key, and it is better to explain it in a simple way." " Longer inscriptions also include: "Only your sight is infinite, and what can go beyond the horizon is limited." If you write a letter to a high school student, you will have such a sentence: "Middle school is the upper reaches of learning, and the upper reaches are clear, and the lower reaches are smooth. .” Recently, my friend’s daughter was admitted to an art university, and my friend asked me to give a sentence of encouragement.I gladly wrote the title: "Promise beauty with your body, and end with art."

I have been in Sun Yat-sen University for twenty-five years, and I have written countless inscriptions for the school. My words are on mugs, bone china cups, frosted cups, pencils, sweatshirts, umbrellas, and even salary notices. Title sentence. The song "Twilight in West Bay" on the bone china cup has been included in the collection of poems "High Buildings Facing the Sea".On the frosted cup, there are two poems from left to right: "The world waits for you to push forward, like a cup spinning in your palm." After reading the poem, the cup also spins in your palm, not without creativity ?The 20th anniversary of the school coincides with the year 2000, and there is my inscription on the sweatshirt: "Twenty-year-old vitality, two-thousand-year-old new machine." Sentence: "Opening an umbrella means departure/retracting the umbrella, arriving home/bringing the umbrella, seeing/dropping the umbrella, common sense/borrowing the umbrella, making an excuse/returning the umbrella, having intentions/sharing the umbrella, with whom?/Be careful, It's fate!"

There is a sentence in my article: "The upper reaches of the blue ink is the Miluo River", which is often quoted by Hunan people. On the streets of Miluo City during the Dragon Boat Festival in 2005, there were everywhere cross-street banners with red background and white characters. Qu Yuan pays tribute. Master Hsing Yun exhibited his famous "One-stroke Calligraphy".I presented it with a couplet: "A pen runs through the sun and the moon, and the nebula hangs in all directions." To commemorate Yu Youren's 130th birthday, Lu Bingwen asked me to write a sentence, and I replied with "the leftover ink is dripping on the wall, and the beautiful beard is still suave. wind".Quanzhou built a new "Fujian-Taiwan Margin Museum" to exhibit my poem "Nostalgia" and ask me for a title.I reported that "Incense is passed on to the Mazu Temple, and the turmoil will not hinder the relationship between Fujian and Taiwan."

Real life sometimes inspires inspiration, and the mouth takes it without waiting for paper and pen.In 1994, I went to Prague with Gao Tianen, Ou Yinxi, Yindi, etc. After the meeting, I went to buy crystal boutiques along the street, and my interest became more and more high.I made up a casual song to encourage morale, the song said: When the companions recited it, they bought it as much as they wanted, regardless of the lightness of their pockets and the weight of their luggage. Sometimes idioms are used flexibly or adapted, which is also quite interesting. This kind of parody, which turns the old into the new and turns the ordinary into cleverness, is also a way to exercise imagination. For example, after returning from lectures, I added a lot of books and generous gifts. It is said to be "returning with a full load", but in fact the luggage is overweight and it is not easy to pack it.Another example is "chaoqinmuchu". It doesn't have to refer to capriciousness, but it can also be used to describe the flight attendant. If you think the structure of Qin and Chu is too small, you might as well use "Oufengmeiyu" instead.By analogy, "unfounded worry" does not have to be a negative word, but has a positive environmental foresight.Isn’t the former US Vice President Al Gore just a scumbag today? He is like the phrase "close to the black", which often reminds me of Elvis Presley's body language when he sings. "Michael's style" is my distorted Michael's style. Many people gave speeches, but they didn't know how to deal with Michael Feng. They just leaned in and roared fiercely, thinking that the majestic wind was loud.

In my own articles, there are fragments from time to time that can have a life of their own independent of the context.None of these sentences exceed 70 characters, which meets the standard of "short message".For example: "Light, like a rook in chess, can only go straight; sound, like a cannon in chess, can fly over obstacles. We are destined to be persecuted by noise." You win your audience. You win your friends by listening well.”
