Chapter 1 What does the Diamond Sutra say-1

What does the Diamond Sutra say 南怀瑾 10884Words 2018-03-20
The current book is a lecture note in 1980. The Buddha said in the Diamond Sutra: "All sages are differentiated by the method of inaction." That is to say, the Buddha believes that all sages and leaders of all religious achievements throughout the ages have achieved Taoism; , because of the time and place, the way of transmission is different. This key point of the Diamond Sutra has completely broken the boundaries of all religions. Generally speaking, great wisdom is called Prajna. The so-called prajna wisdom is not ordinary wisdom, but refers to the wisdom that can understand the Tao, enlighten the Tao, practice the certification, escape from life and death, and become holy. . . . . .This is not obtained by thinking, but the wisdom obtained through the whole investment of both body and mind. This wisdom is Prajna.

The wisdom of prajna includes five kinds, the so-called five prajna, the first is reality prajna, the second is realm prajna, the third is text prajna, the fourth is convenient prajna, and the fifth is dependent prajna. The five connotations are Vajra Prajna. As the Tang poet said: "A thousand rivers have water and a thousand rivers and moons, and there are thousands of miles of sky without clouds." When a person cultivates to a certain level, the state of life will be enlightened to a certain level. What is the state of a person who has not practiced the Tao?There is also a state, which is the state of suffering that all sentient beings have.As the ancients said in a poem: "Thirty-six thousand days in a hundred years, if you are not in sorrow, you are in illness."

That's why the ancients said: "Learning Buddhism is a manly job, not something that emperors and generals can do." People who really understand Taoism can develop their wisdom inexhaustibly. The term in Buddhism is called wisdom without a teacher, also called wisdom without a teacher. Natural wisdom. The storehouse of your own wisdom is opened, it is not taught to you by the teacher, but your own inherent wisdom explodes, and you know everything in the sky and the world. This is the realm of Prajna. Some people utter words into chapters, and when they are spoken, they become articles. Every sentence is very beautiful and beautiful, because he has the realm of literature and the prajna of words.

Kumarajiva translated many classics, among which the Diamond Sutra and the Lotus Sutra have greatly influenced Chinese culture. . . . . .Later translations by Master Xuanzang and others were still unable to surpass Kumarajiva in terms of literary realm. This is because of the difference in prajna. There was a historian in the Qing Dynasty, Zhao Yi, who was also a great poet and a great writer, and he wrote it in his later years. . . As far as I know, there are a few great monks who have never read a book, never attended a day of school, and don’t know a single word. After enlightenment, they are good at poetry, writing, and everything. That’s really unimaginable. .

Cleverness comes from thinking out, but it is useless to think out.A person who has realized the Tao also has a particularly high memory. He can not only remember things when he was young, but also know all the books he read in his previous life. . . . . . .When one attains enlightenment, the books read by thousands of lives in the past will be brought out, because the wisdom of prajna has been revealed. The most difficult thing to express, he expresses it in a way, and others can understand it as soon as they hear it, which belongs to the expedient prajna. The six perfections of Buddhism are generosity, precepts, patience, diligence, meditation, and prajna.

There are five or six different translations of the Diamond Sutra, and the one we usually use is the one translated by Kumarajiva. The so-called "paramita", the general translation is to go to the other side. The sutra we are talking about now, if the name of the sutra is explained according to its meaning, it is: the sutra that can cut off all dharmas, break all afflictions, and achieve the great wisdom of Buddhahood, escape from the sea of suffering and reach the other shore. Master Kumarajiva of Yao Qin Sanzang. His father was a prime minister in India who became a monk. His mother was a princess who forced the prime minister to return to secular life and married her, and later gave birth to this son.In the future, the princess herself wants to become a monk, but the prime minister's husband refuses to agree. I will become a monk and become a monk. You force me to become a monk and get married, but now you want to become a monk.So this story could really be written as a novel.

When Kumarajiva was eleven or twelve years old, he could already be said to be enlightened, and he came to mainland China when he was in his thirties. It was the Northern and Southern Dynasties era. In order to invite this scholar to come, three countries were wiped out. This is a shocking event in the history of ancient and modern China and foreign countries. It is very interesting to study the history of that time. For Kumarajiva, a great mage and such a learned person, all countries are vying for him, regardless of economics and politics, because vying for Kumarajiva, One country wiped out another, and a third wiped out a second.

This was done by the empress Wu Zetian. The Diamond Sutra is divided into thirty-two chapters and was compiled in the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang.Who is this editor? He is Prince Zhaoming of Emperor Wu of Liang. When we study Chinese literature, there is a book that must be read, which is "Selected Works of Zhaoming". This is also a must-read book in the Department of Chinese Literature. The induction power of the Diamond Sutra is very strong. Why knock wooden fish?Fish stare at their eyes day and night. When they sleep, they just stop there and do not move. If they take a rest, they are considered to be asleep. Therefore, knocking this wooden fish in our temple is to make us diligent, to imitate the spirit of the fish, and to work hard day and night.

A pair from the Ming Dynasty: "There is nothing in the world like a good practice, and the world is as difficult as eating." Indians don't pay much attention to time, so Indians have no sense of history. After the seventeenth century, the history of India came into being only after the collation of British and a group of scholars from the East and the West. . . . . . .So some people want to learn Sanskrit to study Buddhism, which is a very ridiculous thing.Especially the current Sanskrit is the Sanskrit written after the seventeenth century, and the Sanskrit written before the Tang and Song Dynasties, even an original scripture cannot be found.

Strictly speaking, the true Buddhist teachings are all contained in the Chinese Tripitaka. Therefore, it is really a waste of time to spend a lot of time studying Sanskrit in order to study Buddhism. In addition to having no sense of time and no history, Indians also have a very poor concept of numbers, so there are 84,000 here and 84,000 there in the Buddhist scriptures, which is equivalent to the Hangzhou people saying: "Mulao Lao", which means there are too many.Indians say that there are as many as 84,000. The Buddha began to preach from the age of thirty-one until the age of eighty. During the forty-nine years, most of his teaching work was in the country of Sravasti.

The elder "To Lonely" is also the leader of Zoroastrianism. The thousand, two hundred and fifty disciples of the Buddha are called the continual followers, who follow the Buddha wherever he goes. . . . . .Some of them are dozens of years older than the Buddha. The Buddha began to preach at the age of 31 or 2. The relics are 20 or 30 years older than the Buddha, and Mulian is also older than the Buddha. The so-called monk is a monk, translated into Chinese means "beggar".Beggar is a nice term, which means a beggar. What kind of food do you beg for? It's not just asking for a bite to eat, but asking for a spiritual food that will never be born or die. Therefore, begging for the Dharma from the Buddha above, and begging for food from all sentient beings below, is called a monk who has become a Buddha. World Honored One is another code name of the Buddha. The World Honored One in Buddhist scriptures refers to the most respectable person in the world. However, we must pay attention that the so-called this world does not only refer to this human world. In Buddhism, there is a pure land and there is an impure land. Our Saha world is considered an impure land, while Amitabha’s Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss is a pure land. Therefore, the world referred to in the Buddhist scriptures includes our world and all worlds beyond the scope of this earth. A thousand worlds like the solar system are called a small thousand world, a thousand small thousand worlds are called a middle thousand world, and the sum of the thousand middle thousand worlds is called a great thousand world. He said that in this void, There are three thousand great thousand worlds, actually more than three thousand great thousand worlds, but so many that are unknowable, uncountable, and immeasurable. No one believed this statement before. The Buddha's precepts stipulate that disciples must first filter a glass of water with a piece of cloth before drinking it.why? "A bowl of water in the Buddha's view contains eighty-four thousand insects."The Buddha's eyes, looking at this bowl of water, have 84,000 beings. He said so thousands of years ago, and no one believed it. Morning is the time for heaven and humans to eat, at noon the human world eats, and at night ghosts eat.The system adopted by the Buddha centered on the way of humanity, one meal a day; disciples of later generations stopped eating after one o'clock at noon, this is the system of the Buddha. The clothes we now wear as monks are the casual clothes of ordinary people in the Ming Dynasty, the difference is that the colors of monks are plain. The difference of identities lies in the hair. The monks are bald, while the lay people have hair, and the clothes are the same. When it comes to the system of begging, Thailand still has it.In Thai Buddhist families, the lunch is ready. Before the monks come to beg for alms, they dare not open the lid of the pot; Fill him with good dishes. When the beggars leave, they eat by themselves. This is a system left over from Buddhism. When we study Buddhist scriptures, we will find that the so-called night to day, twenty-six o'clock in the day and night, the Buddha is in meditation, in the Tathagata's great concentration; only after lunch at noon does he meditate and rest. From about one or two o'clock in the afternoon to five or six o'clock in the afternoon, when it was almost dark, everyone closed their eyes and fell into samadhi again. Shanxian is "Subhuti", which is a free translation of Chinese, which means his realm of life and the highest morality. Some call me "Master Nan", but I am not a mage!I am not a monk. Translations such as Kumarajiva's are both trustworthy, expressive, and elegant, which is very rare. So, I personally like this translation very much. Actually Buddha has ten different names. . . . . . . "Tathagata" is a general term for those who have achieved Taoism and Buddhahood. . . . . .Amitabha Buddha is also called Amitabha Tathagata. "Bodhisattva", which is also a translation of Sanskrit, its full name is Bodhisattva Rudder <Tu Chui>.Bodhi means enlightenment, and Sa Tuo means sentient beings. If a person is enlightened and enlightened, he looks down on all wealth and fame, and ignores everything, and his feet are slick. This kind of person is called an arhat. But the bodhisattva state is different. After enlightenment, he is freed from all the sufferings in the world, and he has sublimated himself. However, seeing all kinds of sentient beings in the world are still in suffering, he will return to the world to save all sentient beings. This kind of behavior of sacrificing oneself and benefiting all sentient beings is the so-called sentient being and the way of Mahayana Bodhisattva. <Poe's Note: "Love in the Red Dust". > All sentient beings are living beings with spiritual knowledge and emotions, so they are called sentient beings. There are two famous sayings in the ancients: "To be vulgar is to be a fairy bone, and to be passionate is to be a Buddha's heart." "Bodhisattva" is a general term for Buddhist disciples who follow the Mahayana route. Leaving everything in the world and concentrating on one's own practice, that is, giving up everything to achieve one's own way, is called the realm of Hinayana Arhats. This is called Zi Liao Han in Chinese, just take care of yourself and leave everything else alone. In Zen Buddhism, it is called the man who carries a board, picks a board and walks, and only sees this side, not the other side. That is to say, the empty side, the quiet side, is firmly grasped. As for the troubled and painful side, he uses a board to separate it, anyway, he does not look at it. Great Mercy and Great Compassion Avalokiteshvara, Great Wisdom Manjusri Bodhisattva, Great Conduct Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. Although the appearance is in the world, the heart is out of the world <Po Note: Jidian>, so the Bodhisattva realm is called Mahayana.Arhats live in the void, dare not enter the world, dare not touch everything, out of sight and out of mind, just care about themselves. The Shurangama Sutra says: "Those who save others first before they have been saved, the Bodhisattva has the heart. Those who realize that they have become perfect and can perceive others, the Tathagata will respond to the world." Some people have not become enlightened themselves, but they have religious zeal, and they are willing to rescue others first, help others, and educate others to do good deeds. There are such people in any religion. Although they themselves have not been saved or enlightened, they go to save others first. This is the heart of a Bodhisattva, that is, the heart of a Bodhisattva <Po Note: Mother Teresa>. There are bodhisattvas at home, and there are bodhisattvas who are monks. Although the appearance is like a monk, his motivation, vows, character, and things are all the way of a bodhisattva. This is called a monk. In fact, the Fifth Patriarch of Zen Buddhism later said that in order to become a Buddha and enlightened to Taoism, one needs to concentrate on reciting the Diamond Sutra.Even those who are illiterate and unable to read, just read one line of Maha Prajna Paramita. This is the main point of the scriptures, and it means that great wisdom has reached the other shore. As a result, the Sixth Patriarch was enlightened by the Diamond Sutra; so the Chinese Zen of later generations is also called the Prajna School. In foreign countries there are also called Bodhidharma sects. This is because the fifth and sixth patriarchs were directly passed down from the Diamond Sutra and encouraged everyone to recite the Diamond Sutra. This question is too difficult.A hero can conquer the world, but there is no way to conquer his own mind; a hero can rule the world, but there is no way to "subdue his mind".If one's own thoughts cannot be subdued, this is the difficulty of a saint, and the difficulty of Taoism! "Listen now." "Di" means to be careful and careful. We all know that the most difficult part of learning Buddhism is to stop the thoughts, emotions, and delusions in the heart. All kinds of religions in the world, and all the methods of practice, are to seek peace of mind, the so-called cessation.Although there are many ways to practice Buddhism, there is only one way to sum it up, that is, samadhi and vipassana, which make a person concentrate on thinking and stop at one point. The mind, it is very difficult for it to settle down. For example, older people cannot fall asleep because their minds cannot be settled. The older you are, the more complicated your thoughts are, which affects the brain nerves and cannot rest. True tranquility has reached the state of stillness.Only by gradually learning from stopping and undergoing various changes in physiology and psychology can we reach the state of samadhi. The so-called "concentration" is the same as a child playing with the spinning wheel, and it stops spinning in the end, it just stands there and does not move. This is just a metaphor for steadiness. "Following the situation", An is the same as living, but people can't be satisfied with the situation, because people are not satisfied with themselves, not satisfied with the reality, never satisfied, always pursuing an inexplicable thing <Poe Note: "Faust">. . . . . . .Therefore, in the course of life, it is very difficult to "make peace with the situation". The basic difference between Buddhism and other religions is the achievement of wisdom, not the achievement of kung fu. No subjectivity, no prejudice, things come as they should. . . . . .When joy, anger, sorrow, and joy come today, there will be joy, anger, sorrow, and joy, and the past will not be left behind. Su Dongpo, a great poet of the Song Dynasty, had a famous saying: "People are like Qiuhong, and there is a letter, and things are like a spring dream, without a trace.". . . . . . .Life is like a big dream, everything is in the past, like a river flowing eastward, never looking back.Old people often recall how I was back then. . . . .That's really asking for trouble, because everything can't be turned back, like a spring dream that has no trace.Kong Ming, Kong Ming! >. All Bodhisattva Mahasattvas.Maha in Chinese means big, all great Bodhisattvas. In ancient times, Bodhisattva was also translated as "Dashi" or "Kaishi", which means an enlightened person. . . . . .Mahasa was pronounced after the Tang and Song Dynasties. The real Sanskrit pronunciation is Maha, and the word He is pronounced as Ha. . . . . .Hakka, Cantonese, and Hokkien are relatively close to Tang Yin, while Mandarin is far away. The Buddha wants to educate all sentient beings, love all sentient beings, be merciful to the good, and even more merciful to the bad.Good people need to be saved and educated, and bad people need to be educated even more.People in heaven must be saved, and those in hell are even more pitiful and need to be saved even more. This is the spirit of Buddhism, so it is said that all sentient beings should be saved. <Poe's note: I don't go to hell, whoever goes to hell. > Tan Zi wrote this "book of transformation", thinking that he can control the changes of life in the universe by himself, and that people can live forever. A kind of life is "colored", which has an image and matter that can be seen.Another kind of life is "colorless", which is neither known nor seen by us, but it does exist.Let's say ghosts, for example! Is there any?Of course, I can tell you that there is indeed, and there is nothing terrible about it. It is a "colorless" life, which is different from our yin and yang electrons. If you go to the borders of Guizhou and Yunnan, you can hear stories of living ghosts.Living ghosts are called mandrills. This mandrill can be easily explained by referring to Buddhist scriptures. He is a sentient being who "has form" and "has no form".Sometimes he will show you, and sometimes he will not show you. If he is happy to show you, he will see it, and if he is not happy, he will not see it. Some beings have no thoughts, no sentience, but have feelings. Why is the world called the world of mortals? The capital of the Tang Dynasty was in Xi'an, and the means of transportation was horse-drawn carriages. The red soil in the north was raised up, and red dust was seen in the air, so it was called the rolling red dust. Life in the world of mortals is fame and wealth, which is generally called enjoying great blessings. The emperor used "Hong Fu Qi Tian" because the word "Hong" was too embarrassing to write, so he wrote the character "Hong". Tranquil blessings are called Qingfu, great blessings in life are easy to enjoy, but Qingfu is not. People without wisdom dare not enjoy Qingfu. A person must first develop the ability to enjoy loneliness, then you are almost ready to understand life, and then realize a higher and farther level of life.Only then can we see that Hongfu is bored. It is said in the Buddhist scriptures that for a person who is a Buddhist, you should first observe whether he is disgusted with renunciation. Arhats and Bodhisattvas also have the illusion of being separated from the Yin, and they lose their minds after being cast into a womb. <Poe's Note: This is one of the causes of suffering in the Saha world. It is no wonder that the Western Pure Land is transformed into a lotus flower. > Thinking about emptiness is not dwelling, it is a false dwelling, living in emptiness is not the ultimate. It is my opinion to rely on the old to sell the old, but there are many young people who rely on the small to sell the small, that is also my opinion. There are also many ladies who rely on their daughters to sell their daughters, which is also my opinion. There are three kinds of almsgiving. The first kind of almsgiving is external objects, such as giving money and property, which is called external almsgiving. The second method is spiritual, such as imparting knowledge and enlightening wisdom. . . . . .This kind belongs to Nebusch. The third type is fearless giving, such as saving suffering and disaster. No matter what kind of donation it is, the giver should have the mentality of not giving, and contribute with the hope that others will benefit, that is the spirit of a religious person. After saving all sentient beings, the old man said, "Goodbye, I won't come again."Just told the four disciples not to die for the time being <Poe Note:? >, to "stay in shape and live in the world", and wait for Maitreya Bodhisattva to come down alive. Confucianism often warns people not to get carried away with complacency, which is very difficult to do.When a person becomes rich, has status, age, or knowledge, he will naturally have a high aura and get carried away with complacency; therefore, it is very difficult for a person to be complacent without forgetting his form. But from my experience, I also found that on the other hand, there are many people who are frustrated and forgetful; this kind of people can cultivate well when they are famous and rich, but when they are not famous and rich, they are all over and changed; I feel that I am all short and small, and I become frustrated and carried away. <Poe's Note: A gentleman is always poor, but a villain is too poor. > So self-satisfaction and frustration are both uncultivated and insufficient; in other words, the mind has something to live in.If you have something to live in, you will be trapped by one thing, and you will not be able to learn Buddhism. . . . . .Great liberation, all things should be answered as they come, and the past will not stay. <Poe Note: Yan crosses the cold pool. > The human body is a small universe. . . . .The large and small intestines in our bodies are the rivers and oceans in our bodies. Journey to the West calls them a bottomless pit, which leaks out after eating and can never be filled. In true practice, those who have attained samadhi will be mindful of the first meditation, and their distracting thoughts and delusions will be gone. The second meditation is to hold the breath, the so-called opening up the Qi channels, and the external breathing stops.Sanchan's pulse stopped, his pulse stopped beating, and even his heart beat very slowly. The fourth dhyana is the tranquility of equanimity, the whole body and mind are thrown away, and there is no feeling. However, if you want to achieve the calm state of qi dwelling and pulse stopping, you must first change the twelve types of your body, such as egg-born, wet-born, viviparous, and metamorphic-born, which is what Confucianism calls temperament. If our physical body has not been transformed, it is absolutely impossible to practice samadhi. <Poe Note: Bodhidharma faces the wall. > If a person can abandon the emperor's wealth and wealth, and can let go of everything, he is qualified to learn Buddhism. <Poe's Note: How much did the emperor know about becoming a monk in ancient times? > Some people meditate. Many students have experience in sitting. When they are sitting well, suddenly a sandalwood fragrance comes. Actually, there is no fragrance, but they do smell it.Where does the fragrance come from? When your inner samadhi reaches the extreme, the pure light inside the human body will emit fragrance. <Poe's Note: This statement is not necessarily true. External information cannot be denied, but it cannot be ignored.Gu save the words of this family. > Another kind of human taste; like the Journey to the West said, one smells it and you know there is a human taste here, and monsters have to eat it.It's also like when we go to a pigsty and smell it, we know it smells like pigs, and when we smell it in a kennel, we know it smells like dogs. When the fairy came to us and smelled it, alas! It's all human taste, I can't stand it. <Poe's Note: In many legends about encountering immortals, immortals often complain about the smell of mortals. It is really the so-called evil world of the five turbidities. The masters who came here to save people are really respectable and admirable. > For those of you who are beginners, your legs are numb and uncomfortable. For those who sit well, you have worked hard enough, and your legs are comfortable and happy. You are so happy that you never want to put your legs down. This is called the Bodhisattva's inner touch of bliss. The inner body of the body is wonderfully touched with happiness that has never been seen before. The Bodhisattva precepts do not allow this kind of samadhi, because if you indulge in this kind of samadhi, you will not be willing to save sentient beings!Everyone wants to enjoy the joy of inner touch. Young students should pay special attention!Recently, I found that young students like to study Buddhism and Taoism. I am a little worried. I often talk to young students, you are young, why do you want to learn this? . . . . . . .I hope to complete the principle of being a human being first, and then engage in this matter of learning Buddhism. <Poe's Note: Hey!The old man's words are wrong. The ancients said: Don't come to old age to learn Taoism, most of the lonely graves are young people.Everyone has different causes and effects, and different karmic debts. Who knows whether the shoes you take off today will be worn tomorrow! If you want to find young people who died young, you can easily sort out a lot of them!Since it is only after thousands of years of cultivation of blessings that one is lucky enough to be able to enjoy both Buddhism and Dharma in life, one should immediately start practicing self-help and saving others. Why is it that young people should not learn Buddhism for the time being? !Why not practice it first, and then get into the principles of human beings or Confucianism. Moreover, after mastering the study of Buddhism, when learning "dust studies", you will be condescending, like a broken bamboo.I "love the truth more than I love my teacher" for the sake of living. If my words are disobedient, I am willing to eat spicy sticks. I hope my master and fellow practitioners will learn from me. > There are roughly two types of merit, one is the merit of the human world, which is called Hongfu in literature, and it is the law of the world; the other is the so-called Qingfu, the law of the world.Qingfu is more difficult than Hongfu. . . . . . . . .Nothing to worry about, clean and clean, is the ultimate blessing. The Amitabha Sutra mentions the West first, the Pharmacist Sutra, and the Diamond Sutra all mention the East first. When talking about the Esoteric Buddhism’s instant self-cultivation method, the North is mentioned first. The East is the so-called Qi Qi Fang, so if you want longevity and longevity, you must recite the Oriental Lapis Lazuli Light World Medicine Master Tathagata.Medicine Buddha is the Buddhist kingdom of the Eastern world, the Western world is about the destination, and the Eastern world is about the law of life, life is endless, so the Eastern culture is also endless! The double cultivation of blessing and wisdom is the realm of Buddha. Some people have good fortune, wealth and fame, but no wisdom; -A gentleman is poor>.The realm of Buddha is that both merit and wisdom are perfect. This is called dual cultivation of blessing and wisdom. When the accumulation of wisdom and accumulation of merit are complete, one becomes a Buddha. Is the king of wheels condition?>. There is a story recorded in the Buddhist scriptures. A hundred years after the death of the Buddha, there was a famous King Ashoka in India. He did not believe in Buddhism when he was young, but he began to believe in Buddhism when he was middle-aged.He built 84,000 pagodas in his life, and one of them flew to China after the Tang Dynasty. I don’t know if it was because of the earthquake or other reasons, this pagoda flew over in the air and landed in the Ashoka Temple in Ningbo, Zhejiang.Inside this pagoda is the real relic of the Buddha himself at that time <Po Note: If you go to Zhejiang in the future, you should not miss it>. Northern School of Taoism Qiu Changchun <Po Note: Please don’t let Jin Yong’s poisonous thinking of Mr. Jin Yong as a simple kendo killer, beware of the Taoist priests of the Longmen School not agreeing, Taoist priests are not equal to warriors! > When Genghis Khan died, Qiu Changchun told his apprentices to take a bath, jumped into a small pool and said after washing, my friend is gone, and I will go too, which means that Genghis Khan is dead, and he will die too. <Poe Note: Is this true?I'm too lazy to look up history books, that's not what I'm good at, I hope one day a friend can confirm it and tell me. > There is also a story about Zhou Li Pan Tuo Jia mentioned in Buddhist scriptures. . . . . .Incomparably stupid,. . . . . . . .The Buddha finally asked him to read the word "broom".He pronounced "sweep", but forgot "broom", read "broom", but forgot "sweep", it took him many years to read it.But later he became the most supernatural power and saved the Buddha's life several times. <Poe's note: "Taking Bodhicitta as the cause, great compassion as the foundation, and convenience as the ultimate", this great wisdom of convenience to save people takes Buddha as the highest. The disciples who were born in the Buddha's era are really lucky ones. In our era, the smart people who are busy looking for fame and wealth all day long, how does the final achievement compare with this typical "idiot master"?Ashes! > Dogs eating poop are as fragrant as we eat braised pork, which is its food. <Poe’s Note: It’s disgusting to look at suddenly, but you can find the incisive truth when you think about it carefully. All beings are always used to seeing the world from their own standpoint, like a frog at the bottom of a well, always thinking that they are the center and axis of the world, thinking that their poor little opinion is the only greatest treasure house of truth in the whole universe, and everything else is unreasonable fallacy. So "a dog can't change eating shit". If a dog wants to upgrade, he must pay attention to changing his eating habits. If a person wants to upgrade, he must also pay attention to this point. Using Ximenqing's lifestyle to practice "art in the house" will only lead to madness .Be bored and centrifuged! !Mr. Nan's peculiar thinking habit is admirable, and he is big enough to tolerate it. > Everyone has read Tao Yuanming's Homecoming Speech! It is said that the heart is the slave of the form.We are all slaves to our bodies. We have to wear clothes when we are cold, take them off when we are hot, eat when we are hungry, and take laxatives when we are full. We are busy with our bodies all day long. The dust and labor of the outer world command us, and we become slaves of the outer material world. <Poe's Note: The development of science greatly satisfies our body, but destroys our soul. What I saw in New York made me not want to go to America, because I was afraid of wearing the red shoes that made them fly to the end of death.I prefer Qingfu. > The real Buddha, like many other religions, is against idolatry. . . . .The highest principle of any religion is the same, it is not I who saved you, but you who saved yourself. <Poe's Note: Only teaching swimming can't drag people, especially those who are determined to insist on sinking. Therefore, although the Buddhadharma is boundless, it cannot overcome the emptiness. > Although the physical body is long-lived, five hundred years is still five hundred years, and one thousand years is still one thousand years. It is not the physical body that is eternal, but the Dharma body. The dharmakaya cannot be seen in form. <Poe's Note: Is the Dharma Body "formed into form when gathered, and qi when dispersed" like the master in "Star Wars"?So Ben said to Walder: If you destroy my body, you will only make me stronger. So he entered Nirvana without a trace.Sorry, I can't find the word pan in the computer. > After becoming a Buddha, one can obtain the three kayas, namely, the dharma body, the sambhogakaya, and the incarnation body. Therefore, in some temples, there are three Buddha statues lined up together to represent the three bodies; this is the big temples on the mainland in the past. After the Tang Dynasty, the rise of Taoism also imitated the arrangement of the three Qings, that is, the Shangqing, Taiqing, and Yuqing, which are also the three bodies. This is the situation when it comes to religion. In fact, no matter the East or the West, all religions imitate each other to a considerable extent. <Poe’s Note: Interestingly, the doctrine of the Holy Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in Western religions made me dizzy back then, so I save it for future reference. > There are three bodies for becoming a Buddha, the pure body is the dharma body, the perfect body is the sambhogakaya, and the millions of different images are the incarnation body. . . . . . . .The dharmakaya is the body, the body of everything in the universe. . . . .The sambhogakaya is the so-called phenomenon, and the dharmakaya is the body. The body of all sentient beings is the sambhogakaya. They live a life very comfortably, do everything well, and enjoy a lifetime of blessings. Some people live this life with great pain and difficulty. This is the cause of the unwholesomeness planted in the past life, which leads to the existence of this sambhogakaya in this life.As for those who have achieved some success in cultivating the Tao, this sambhogakaya is turned around. The general concept of Taoism talks about getting sick and prolonging life, and immortality is the turning around of the sambhogakaya. When the sambhogakaya practice is completely consummated, the whole person is reborn and possesses all supernatural powers. This is a very rare thing, so it is very rare to say that it is very rare to complete the Sambhogakaya. Generally speaking, Taoists talk about cultivating qi, cultivating channels, opening up the eight extraordinary meridians, and Tantrics talking about cultivating the three channels and seven chakras, etc., most of them focus on the practice of sambhogakaya. Most of the talks about tranquility and vipassana, chanting the Buddha's name, and Zen practice mostly focus on practicing the Dharma. As for the accomplishment of the sambhogakaya, if one cultivates to have a body outside the body, another body exists besides the physical body, which is the function of the incarnation. Ordinary people who study Buddhism theoretically follow the path of Dharmakaya. Esoteric Buddhism claims to achieve the three kayas, because only those who have achieved the three kayas can truly learn Buddhism.Another name for the achievement of the three bodies is also called instant achievement. . . . . . . .If you want to achieve instant success,. . . . . . .All the precepts, concentration and wisdom, all the practice are needed to transform the four physical bodies born by parents. It is necessary to completely transform the physical body in order to achieve the perfect achievement of the body. <Poe's Note: If you want to know the taste of pear, you have to taste it.I didn't understand the above paragraphs, and I didn't stop being diligent, and I'll know when I get enlightened. > It is said that Padmasambhava came back 800 years after the death of Sakyamuni Buddha. When he was the leader of Xianjiao, he was conceived by his parents. Come, become the leader of Tantric Buddhism and be transformed from a lotus flower. <Poe's Note: Judging from the Dashi's mana and metamorphosis method, it is very likely that this is the case.Guanshiyin Bodhisattva also became a Buddha early, and came back as a Bodhisattva in order to be a "guest professor".Incredible. > At that time, the king and his wife of a country in South India had no children. They were very sad. The couple were admiring lotus flowers in the royal garden. Suddenly, a lotus flower grew taller in the center, and a child jumped out of the lotus bud. It was flesh and blood. Poe's Note: I don't know if it is the same when I passed away in the Western Pure Land>.Later, he succeeded to the throne as the crown prince, attained it at the age of eighteen, and his physical body remained forever. According to the legend of Esoteric Buddhism, because Padmasambhava is the leader of Esoteric Buddhism, he did not take the path of Nirvana in his previous life, so he flew away on a white horse. When he appeared in person, he always looked like an eighteen-year-old boy, unchanged, with occasional mustaches. This is to explain the achievement of the sambhogakaya, which exists forever after being cultivated; it is also the Taoist concept of immortality.Of course, after the sambhogakaya is completed, there will naturally be an incarnation, with all supernatural powers. Therefore, only when one attains immediate attainment in one's body can one truly learn Buddhism to be consummated. The real way, the real truth, is absolutely ordinary, the most brilliant thing is the most ordinary, and the real ordinary is the most brilliant. The same is true of being a human being, the most brilliant person is also the most ordinary, and the most ordinary person is the most brilliant person.Lao Tzu also said: "Great wisdom is like a fool." When wisdom reaches its extreme, it is very ordinary. <Poe's note: "Your spirit is flat when you have learned a lot", the "experts" and "scholars" who think they are invincible should pay attention. The common people said: Half a bottle of water jingle, believe it.The expression of truth is also extremely flat and simple, as the so-called "one sentence is true, and the false is passed on to thousands of volumes". > Li Shangyin's poem: "This feeling can be regarded as a memory, but it was already at a loss." Regarding the infatuation of sentient beings, the Lotus Sutra mentions a Bodhisattva named Chang-crying Bodhisattva, who is always crying and always crying. This Bodhisattva probably likes to cry, that is, the Bodhisattva who loves to cry.He felt that all sentient beings were so stupid and pitiful, which made him cry, so he was called Changcrying Bodhisattva. <Poe's Note: Weeping because of great mercy. Why does this Bodhisattva often cry?And why does Budai monk often laugh?think about it!Those who arouse bodhicitta will feel like crying when they go to the crematorium for a day, crying for all living beings! And it would be ridiculous to go to Vanity Fair, a stock market casino, for an hour. > Now the Buddha told Subhuti that all appearances are illusory, so if you see the Buddha in a dream, or if the Buddha is really standing on the clouds, then you will be possessed by demons, that is not the real Buddha, you just take the stone Throw him away, beat him with the Diamond Sutra, you can say: You said it, all appearances are false, if you see all appearances are not appearances, you will see the Tathagata, what are you doing here? The dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva in Mount Wutai, Shanxi. Manjusri Bodhisattva is the teacher of the seven Buddhas, wisdom is the first, Shakyamuni Buddha and many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have been his disciples for many lifetimes. Therefore, when everyone seeks wisdom and enlightenment, he goes to the Manjusri Dojo on Mount Wutai with three steps and one bow. <Poe's Note: Another professor as a guest lecturer. If you want to kowtow to those who want to be admitted to university, there is room now. > Because Zen Master Wenxi has realized the Tao himself, he is willing to do hard work for everyone. What pedestrians can't do, what patience can't bear, this is the way of Bodhisattva. <The same is true for St. Francis back then, have you realized it?Beware of those uncommon self-proclaimed Taoists who love to enjoy fame and fortune! For example, how many people were deceived by Hong Xiuquan back then? !This situation is also common today. > The Buddha is the one who doesn't show signs. If you fall into the realm of ghosts and gods, making troubles in those realms all day long, and you walk into the line of the phase, asking for trouble is still a trivial matter, and you have already fallen into the magic way. <Poe's Note: This is true insight.Be careful, be careful! ! > Let alone wisdom, it is not a matter of one lifetime to be born with a little intelligence. If one wants to obtain supreme wisdom, one must not seek it, but cultivate it.Only by cultivating all good deeds and all merits can one achieve supreme wisdom. This wisdom comes from enlightenment. It comes from observing the precepts and cultivating blessings. The accumulation of precepts, together with refraining from doing evil and doing good deeds, is the only way to truly obtain the great wisdom of great blessings. From the perspective of the development of material civilization, the times are getting more and more advanced; from the perspective of humanities, morality, and spirit, it is becoming more and more degenerate, which is regressive The same statement is expressed in , and even some wise men in the West have recognized >.
