content summary. Visions and clairvoyance. Four plus rows. The four additional lines of the Shravakayana. The four additional lines of the solitary enlightenment vehicle. Eighty-four thousand countermeasures. Habits have been broken in sequence. Great Prajna torch. The Three Beings and Nirvana of Mahayana. Grasp the khandhas. Some students asked about eating meat. Whenever I have a pious belief and sincerely work hard, after a while on the road, there will naturally be this phenomenon, that is, I can't stand the meat immediately; or I can't stand the meat when I smell the meat.According to the principles of Buddhism, this is the initiation of good roots and the achievement of merit.Over time, if you relax in your practice, you will want to eat meat again. This is because your heart is not firm and you don't work hard.

There is a poem inscribed by immortals on Mount Yilan: Thirty-three days, there are gods in the heavy sky and white clouds. Immortals are originally made by mortals, I am afraid that mortals will not be strong. Whether or not one can succeed in cultivating immortals and Taoism depends only on whether one's intentions are strong or not. This is a basic question. Another person asked, once you close your eyes, there are many illusions in front of you, and you can’t go beyond this realm for a long time, how to solve it? When the qi channel passes through the jade pillow pass in the back of the brain, some people will have various problems due to malnutrition. Some people have red eyes, and some have cataract-like conditions. As long as you have confidence, you will be fine once you pass the test, and your eyes will be better than before. When the qi channel reaches the Yuzhen pass, many phenomena will occur when it is about to pass through. It is normal to only see illusions. Some people can see through the walls and initiate the celestial eye.Under such circumstances, supernatural powers and nerves are two brothers. When all kinds of illusions come, it's not that we can't get rid of them, but we are playing with them without even knowing it.If you really want to get rid of it, isn't it turned by it?Are you persistent? As long as you ignore everything and gradually forget about your head, it will be fine. Then, he entered another new realm, no longer seeing illusions, but seeing a light inside and outside the body.Over time, I can see the blood flow in my heart very clearly, and I don't need to take X-rays.But don't take it as clairvoyance. When clairvoyance is used, one becomes obsessed. So don’t try to get rid of it. If the reason is not clear, if you still cling to this realm, there will be more and more illusions. The main reason is eye function decline or fatigue, which is beneficial to take some eye-replenishing drugs.

Now continue what we said last time. The "Contemplative Solemn Theory" is closely related to the "Yogi's Ground Theory", especially it focuses on practice and the four preliminaries. The "Extensive Discussion on the Stages of Enlightenment" and the Brief Discussion of Master Huang Pope Tsongkhapa of Esoteric Buddhism are also practice methods based on this system. Therefore, the cultivation of the Yellow Sect of Tantric Buddhism, and even other sects of Tantric Buddhism, whether it is the basic principles or the practice of certification, all follow this.In fact, these treatises are precious books for the cultivation of various sects of Sutra and Tantric, and they must be mastered.

Now look at the first volume of the solemn treatise, the second piece of omniscient wisdom (explain the method of the four preliminaries): "In the way of the four preliminaries, you can see the appearance before the fire of Tao wisdom, so it is called warm." The practice of the four preliminaries requires first to see the Tao, which is what Zen calls the view, and to really see the emptiness of nature. But this view is not the view seen by the eyes, it is "when seeing, the seeing is not the seeing, the seeing is still far from the seeing, and the seeing cannot be reached".The Shurangama Sutra tells us that when we "can see" and see "seeing", when we see the Tao, the "seeing" that sees the Tao is not the seeing that the eyes see. What can be seen and seen has left. It is not what we now imagine seeing the Tao with our eyes, or what we can understand theoretically.

"Before seeing the Dao Zhihuo", it means just before seeing the Dao, at the moment when the Dao is about to be seen, the warm ground is initiated. This is also an explanation of academic teachings. In other words, when you really see the Tao, as some great masters of Zen have said, in an instant, you suddenly realize it!Sweating profusely, this is the initial warmth of the Sijiaxing. "Because all good roots are not moved by wrong views, it is called the top." At this time, go a step further and cooperate.Zen Master Baizhang of Zen Buddhism has a saying: People who see the Tao "are not different from people in the old days, only different from the way they act in the old days." Moral standards are completely different from the past. They become not deliberately seeking goodness, but naturally agree with goodness.Doing goodness for the sake of goodness is a painful act. It is a "precept", which is difficult and difficult, so keeping the precepts has merit and virtue, which is worthy of praise!People who see the Tao don't talk about keeping the precepts, but everything is naturally in the precepts, and the roots of goodness will not be moved by wrong views. This is the top sign.

"The evil destinies induced by the elimination of evil karma, and the vacuum nature away from fear, so it is called patience." Naturally eliminate all evil destinies induced by evil karma.Strictly speaking, this sentence is a big problem. In other words, due to the creation and induction of past bad karma, there will be evil phenomena in this life. This "fun" is the direction of reincarnation in the six realms. Careful observation reveals that many people have shown the phenomenon of the future realm in their current life, when they are old or dying, due to bad karma. There are also people's evil orientations that appear in dreams. There are many kinds of them, and they are all mentioned in Buddhist scriptures.

Seeing those who reach the warm ground and the top of the ground, concentration is still not enough.Because of insufficient samadhi, sometimes in the middle of the samurai, when the evil realm appears, fear will arise. For example, when the Great Demon Realm appears, you would normally not be afraid, but at that time you will become afraid.Forbearance means that the concentration is very firm, which means perseverance and truncation. The second sentence talks about the horror of emptiness. We learn the Tao because we want to see emptiness. Why is it scary to see emptiness? Many people do this, so the Diamond Sutra teaches you to have enough merit. If you don’t have enough merit, you will be afraid when you see your own emptiness.Everyone wants to cultivate the Tao every day, and the Taoist must first be able to guard against loneliness. The highest cultivation in life is to be able to hold on to loneliness and to be able to appreciate desolation. A cultivator will feel very comfortable in the face of desolation. If you can't help being lonely and desolate, you can do anything.

In particular, cultivating the Dao is fundamentally cultivating extinction. When extinction comes, you can’t keep it. Isn’t this going against the grain? This place insists on "forbearance", away from the horror of the sky, this is true "forbearance". "Because it is the kinship cause of seeing the Tao, it is the most number one of all the world's laws, so it is called the world's number one law." This is the true way of seeing, Maitreya Bodhisattva tells us in words from an academic point of view.In fact, Nuan is really Nuan, and Nuan Shou consciousness is one. Therefore, when the consciousness is transformed into wisdom, if the consciousness is really transformed, when it turns into the wisdom of wonderful observation, there is no one who does not feel warm. The cultivation of qi, pulse, essence, and blunt fire in Tantric Buddhism are just the beginning of the warm phase, and there is nothing special about it.However, if thoughts, delusions, and consciousness cannot be turned, they cannot initiate warm signs.Once you get the warm phase, you get the true fire of samadhi. At this time, the Taoist cure for disease and prolong life will definitely be achieved, because warmth, longevity, and consciousness are connected, and the same is true in the physical world. In our physical world of the Desire Realm, all dead things must cool down, and living things must be warm. The so-called warmth, support, and tolerance are not only principles, but also facts.

"Let's not talk about the Sangha in the teaching of the Three Jewels here. It is said that as mentioned in the second grade, it is in the sixteenth moment of the Mahayana's vision of the Dao Xiangzhi." The second article introduces Taoism Xiangzhi. What is seeing the way?Maitreya Bodhisattva has told us all. However, in the midst of seeing the path of the path, there are sixteen moments when the situation changes. At this time, "the Bodhisattva who dwells in the holy place of the Eight Endurances" enters the realm of a bodhisattva. The holy bodhisattva is also called the pre-flow direction, which is equal to the fruit position of the Hinayana. It is the follow-up of the preparatory bodhisattva, but it has the second part of "the blunt root follows the faith, and the sharp root follows the law".

People with blunt roots only have beliefs, and gradually develop kung fu and insight through beliefs. Those who have been rooted will enter through faith, and they will be admitted immediately. These two are different. Therefore, there are also two types of people in the four additions, and their cultivation realms, experiences, and achievements are also different. "Those with blunt roots are known as understanding, and those with sharp roots are known as seeing." People with blunt roots believe in theory, but have not developed their views. The people in Ligen understood it, and the kung fu and fulfillment of vows followed.

Now look at the second volume of the commentary on the solemn theory, and the third chapter of Taoist wisdom: "Knowing the cause of the wisdom of the holy voice and hearing the way, there are four points of decision, that is, the ultimate meaning of form and emptiness. Therefore, the way of gaining insight into emptiness and the indiscriminate wisdom of form and so on is the warming position." This is the four preliminaries, including kung fu and things. Here we are talking about the four paths of the Shravakas.Mahayana, Hinayana, Arhats, and Bodhisattvas each have their own four preliminaries, and even heretics who practice kung fu also have four preliminaries, and the achievements are different in depth. Now let’s talk about the addition of the Shravaka. This sentence means that a person who has certified the holy fruit in the sravaka vehicle has four conditions that can be tested for his path wisdom, which is the state of wisdom after seeing the path. First of all, people who have realized the Tao must realize that "form is emptiness". This is not a theory. To reach the realm of "form and other emptiness", it is the first meaning of form and emptiness, not a phenomenon of form. realm. If you look at the mountains, rivers and the earth as empty, and turn all colors at will, this is the realm of a bodhisattva. If you have studied Consciousness-only, you will know that the first five consciousnesses of the bodhisattva realm have also been transformed, and the five or eight fruits are perfect.People who have really transformed the first five senses will become younger if they want to become younger, and get better when their health is not good.If you can't turn the first five, what do you see! What we are told here is "ultimate emptiness", metaphysically, a thorough proof that "form is emptiness".Slowly and further, wisdom has arrived, and I know that "emptiness is form".Only when one understands that there is no difference between form and emptiness can one reach the warm position of the savanna fruit. "Understand the ultimate meaning of color and other wisdom without gaining, and the way of adding practice is the top position." After further understanding of form, that is, the four elements of the material world are nothing to gain. After all, there is nothing to gain. It's not empty."The acquired wisdom, including all realms, is the top of the Shravakayana. After reaching the top position, the three channels and seven chakras must have been connected and fully opened, and the top phase can achieve unity with the universe. "Understanding the color is equal to the ultimate meaning, breaking away from the principles of permanence and impermanence, and the way of adding practice that this wisdom holds is the position of tolerance." Going a step further, in the first sense, mastering color and other four elements have broken through that realm. What is the boundary? That is to live (that is, to move, maintain) and the principles of whether all actions are permanent or impermanent. Buddhism persuades people to understand that all actions are impermanent and everything is empty. In Mahayana Buddhism, the Buddha said the Nirvana Sutra, not impermanence, nor emptiness, but permanence, happiness, self, and purity, which is exactly the opposite of the original teaching of the Buddha. When the Buddha passed into nirvana, he told us that impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and no-self are convenient, and what is real is permanence, happiness, self, and purity.Regardless of whether it is impermanence, suffering, emptiness, or non-self, or whether it is constant, happy, self, or pure, they are all two-sided words, the first truth of the middle way, and the two ends cannot be met.If emptiness and existence are two ends, they are relative. To practice or not to practice, to meditate or not to meditate are two ends, so don’t be attached to them. It is very serious here, materiality, and the material world are all impermanent, but formation, stasis, decay, and emptiness are repeated all over again. It can be seen that it is not impermanent, but it is by no means "common" for materialistic thinkers. You have to understand this before you can reach the achievement of the Ninja in the Shravaka. We can see that each state is different, so it doesn’t matter whether it’s practicing secrets, Tiantai, Zen, Pure Land, or Taoism. These things don’t make sense, and all the effort is wasted. I don’t know how many years I have been trapped. If you can't break through the realm, you won't be able to ascend further. For example, modern people like to talk about qi channels. After the qi channels are really filled with light inside and outside the body and mind, what should we do next?If you say you don’t know, just roll away slowly in thousands of lives!I often ask people: When do you say the car turns around the river? This is not a joke, but no one can answer it.So what should be the next step depends on the teachings. In fact, the Buddha has said it in the Twelve Books of the Tripitaka and the Sutras. Because the Buddhist scriptures are difficult to read, some problems are in this book, and some problems are in that book. If you don’t pay attention to it, you will ignore it. "Those who rely on the ten grounds mean that the supreme meanings such as the ground of great joy and understanding have no place to live. As the scriptures say widely, the way of adding practice that this wisdom holds is the world's first law." Furthermore, it reaches the bodhisattva's first joyful place, that is, "the ultimate meaning has no place to live", the realm of the metaphysical way. This realm is held by the wisdom of prajna, and it is called the first law in the world, but it is only the realm of the first bodhisattva. "The one who speaks self-awareness refers to the single-awakened arhat. At the end of the day, he does not need to rely on other teachers to teach him, and he can realize Bodhi on his own. It is also said that the word is at that time, and he does not need to speak for him." Sometimes, if you can't find a master who can truly prove the way and practice, you can also seek the way of self-enlightenment.The Buddha also told us to take refuge in the Three Jewels of the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. The Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha are all still there, and the Tripitaka is all there. If you only look for it in the Buddhist scriptures, it is the same as if the Buddha is here in person. If you work hard like this, you can also obtain self-awareness. fruit. So when we talk about self-awareness, we mean independent awareness, sound-hearing, and predestined awareness. The independent enlightened Arhat of the Middle Way, at the moment of final enlightenment, does not necessarily rely on good teachers, he can realize Bodhi by himself, this is called independent enlightenment Buddha, pratyekabuddha. This paragraph is very important. Note that what has just been said about the Shravakas is always described in terms of color and emptiness in this book.Form is the four elements of earth, water, fire and wind, the body and the material world belong to form.To be enlightened is to see emptiness. After seeing emptiness, there is no dharma that cannot be turned, and it must be turned, so it is called sudden enlightenment. In other words, materiality will also turn suddenly, this is certain. It is the same as the four preliminaries of "warmth, resistance, tolerance, and the first method in the world" in the practice sequence. At a certain step, a certain state must appear. This is not stipulated by the Pope, but an inevitable change of the body and mind following the practice route. .When kung fu has reached that stage, this is the phenomenon. If there is no such phenomenon, it is not in that state, and kung fu has not reached that stage. "When you know Lin Yu Tao, it is captured by the difference of the three dharmas, that is, it is separated from the external environment such as form to make the distinction, and it cannot be separated from the inner consciousness to obtain the distinction of reality, so the difference is based on the dharma nature of the dharma captured by the independent enlightenment vehicle. Depending on the species." It is specifically pointed out here that some people who have practiced for many years may reach this state by accident, that is, a blind cat bumps into a dead mouse, and hits the state of Lin Yu Dao (Lin Yu Dao is a metaphor for the unique enlightenment vehicle). There are three situations in the realm of self-enlightenment and self-affirmation in Yuanjue Cheng: it can reach the point where you are indifferent to everything, you don’t like the external environment very much, and your discrimination is relatively slight. If it is possible to do this and have this self-cultivation, why can't it be maintained forever? That's because "failing to stay away from Knowledge can make the distinction between real and persistent".In other words, the root of the bad caste of the Alaya consciousness in the heart has not been pulled out, and it is still there. "Wild fires are endless, spring breeze blows and regenerates", our delusional habit is like this, you think you have no attachments, in fact, you are unconsciously attached, and you don't even know it. If you can understand this habit, you will be freed up. The word "separation" should not be mistaken, thinking that the separation can always be seen, but in fact, sometimes one's own separation mind cannot be seen by oneself. For example, what a classmate asked just now: After studying for a few days, I don’t want to eat meat anymore. At this time, you think that the discrimination of eating meat will leave, otherwise!Maybe seeing that plate of meat in the dream is still delicious! When I went down from Mount Emei after retreating, I walked with a friend who was a monk. When I was about to arrive in Chengdu, five or six miles away from the city, a smell of people came up.At that time, I believed that in Journey to the West, it is easy for monsters to find human flesh to eat, and as soon as they smell something raw, the monsters will come. After entering the city gate, this monk friend smelled the twice-cooked pork in Sichuan, and it was delicious! So I hurriedly urged me to leave as soon as possible. This is the "separation of reality and attachment". In the alaya consciousness, we ourselves don't know it. If you can find this, that's about it. Therefore, sometimes I feel that I have worked hard these few days and my heart is quite clean, but I don't know my difference between reality and attachment, and I immediately hang myself up.When you practice Taoism and Buddhism, and your heart is very pure, there is a terrible difference. When you see someone say something wrong, do something wrong, or don’t follow the rules, you will immediately feel very disgusted, and that is anger. ".Do you think it's so easy to "distinguish from reality"!If it were really that easy, you would have been enlightened long ago. I talked about the problems of attaining health through practice and entering into a state of tranquility through kung fu, so I adopted the method of Zengyi Agama Sutra to practice in-and-out breathing, and found very serious problems. Many people, especially women, get this wrong. When women adjust their breath, they should not pay attention to the lower abdomen when retracting the lower abdomen. For any practice, they should not pay attention to the lower abdomen.Anyone who pays attention to the dantian will not go wrong, and the same is true for men.Keeping the dantian will make the stomach bigger, the intestines thicker, and the stomach sagging. What kind of kung fu is this?Buddha statues made after the Sui and Tang Dynasties all have big bellies. This is a completely wrong way of sculpting. This kind of sculpting is very harmful, but it is actually not the case. Adjusting breath and refining qi, this qi is not the qi coming in and out from the nostrils, but just borrowing this qi to use it. Just like borrowing a match, once it is lit, there is no need for a match.Everyone's body has warmth, and the body itself has qi. Only when we experience this can we practice Anapana. If you really understand the principle of qi, you will definitely achieve fruition within seven days. This is not a joke, Buddhism does not deceive people. Everyone cultivates qi and pulse, but they don’t even understand what is qi and what is a pulse, and they focus on breathing. As I said before, breathing and sound are the law of birth and death. Is it logical to use the law of birth and death to seek the fruit of non-birth and death?Of course wrong. As for refining qi, we already have qi inside our body, as long as we arouse what we already have, if you really do it, the inside of your body will definitely change, so why is there any difficulty! For example, if you are tired and want to sleep, you just need to take a breath, stop breathing, and close the breath. There is Yuan (wu灬QI) in the body, and the function of Yuan (Wu灬QI) will be activated. It means that the dry battery is used up, put it on the ground to absorb electricity, and it can be used again. The principles of Buddhist practice are the same as those of physics. In fact, when you understand the principles, your own qi will realize it. Therefore, with your own qi, you can cure diseases, prolong life, and rejuvenate, which is very easy. , It can be said that it is as easy as flipping the palm of your hand, because you can't see the ground, so you can't recognize it clearly. However, it is not easy to recognize the qi. If you can recognize the qi, you have to practice until you are "full of energy and no thoughts of lust, full of energy and no thought of food, and full of energy and no sleep". It can be done within three days at most. How many days do you want to meditate? It can be done, as light and agile as the body wants. So the Buddha told his young master to practice this method, and he accomplished it very quickly. Why is it easy for Rahula to practice this method?Childlike innocence, practicing this method will prove fruit within a few days.Girls are called innocence before their first menstruation, before their knowledge is developed, and boys before they have no knowledge of sex.To prove the fruit, no matter men, women, old or young, no matter how old you are, the first step of practice is to cultivate childlike innocence. How to cultivate innocence? There is no distinction between the mind and the mind, the physiology and materiality are turned, and the whole six senses are not leaked, then the body of innocence is transformed, and one enters the Tao immediately. It is absolutely true, and the Dharma does not deceive people. "Knowing the reason of knowing the path of self-awareness and wisdom, there are four points of decision-making, that is, in the ultimate meaning of enlightenment and color, in the nameless words, there are false, not illegal, and it is for warming up." The Way of Solitary Enlightenment is different from the Fruit of the Shravakas, which is equal to the Middle Way of Buddhism. "There is false existence in the nameless saying", the vacuum plays the role of wonderful existence, although there is attachment, it does not violate the law of emptiness. In other words, it is the warm position of the Way of Self-Awareness that can play a certain role when it is empty. "The top position is manifested by the undiminished meaning of the color and so on." What is the top position of self-awareness?Knowing the materiality of the material world, there is no reduction in the first sense. For example, if you smoke a cigarette, you can use scientific methods to collect the smoke and make it into another cigarette without losing any weight. Therefore, entering the realm of emptiness requires it to play a wonderful role as well. For those who have successfully cultivated, other lives do not need to go through the reincarnation of the six realms of reincarnation, and their own mind produces a body, and a single thought can create another body. The mental method is amazing, and the physical method is equally incredible.Buddhism lays particular emphasis on the development of the mind and dharma. Only by understanding the mind can one understand the color and the material side.Buddhism will not develop towards the material side. In fact, the mind and the matter are one, and the matter is equally inconceivable.Taoism is going towards the aspect of materiality, destroying it first, and then succeeding in cultivation after breaking it, this is the body.Later generations of Esoteric Buddhism also took this path, and science is currently in the research stage, and it is also taking this path. We Buddhists should not underestimate the current science, we must contact it at any time, we must read modern scientific materials. Why do Americans always put artificial satellites or space shuttles into space? They are exploring the mysteries of the universe. But one thing is very pitiful, they just touched the end of life, just looking outside, after searching for a long time, even if they found it, but they couldn't see what they were looking for. Therefore, people who study Buddhism and practice Taoism turn around and look for themselves. When they find out "this", "that" will be easy. This is to seek proof by themselves. So a person who studies Buddhism and cultivates the Tao is very selfish, why?Because you have to take care of yourself at any time and solve your own problems at any time. If you don’t solve one point and think you are right, that is self-deception.Birth, old age, sickness and death have to be solved, and learning Buddhism is to solve these basic problems. What is a Buddhist student?A person who spends his whole life examining and introspecting himself, anytime and anywhere, is a practitioner. The so-called self-conscious person finds out his own mistakes at any time and solves his own problems. This is the truth. What is the ninja position of solitary consciousness? "The position of ninja is based on understanding the inner space, etc., knowing the ultimate meaning of form, etc., cannot be grasped." People who are alone in the Enlightenment Vehicle have internally realized the state of emptiness, so they are not attached to the material world. This is still the Middle Vehicle path, not the Bodhisattva path.In other words, Buddhist practitioners talk about emptiness, but you talk about your own, and the material world still exists. You can sit for 10,000 years while meditating, and the earth is still spinning. This is the case in the solitary meditation vehicle. The earth is one of the four elements, and it still hasn’t been emptied by you.So are form and mind absolutely separated? If it is, it is not the Tathagata realm. The Shurangama Sutra says: "The mind can turn things, which is like the Tathagata." The mind and matter are united. This principle must be grasped. The real great achievement must be that the mind and matter are united. Therefore, the world's first method of Yuanjue is "knowing the ultimate meaning of form, etc.Knowing that life is not life. This classic talks about form everywhere, the form, the ground, the water, the fire, and the wind. There are three types of consciousness-only analysis of form: "extremely small form, extremely extreme form, and form captured by the place of law." The place of law is the realm of consciousness, and the self can produce earth, water, fire, wind, including the effects of material changes, all of which we must know. "The Mahayana Truth Contemplation held by the Wisdom of Realizing Emptiness is the appearance of the Mahayana way of seeing, and the limit is only in the way of seeing the Mahayana." Demonstration of emptiness is the epiphany mentioned in Zen Buddhism, "jumping" once, in teachings it is "evidence of emptiness".The realm of nature and emptiness is presented at once. At this time, wisdom is enlightened, prajna is achieved, and all the majesty of the Mahayana path contained in the realization of emptiness comes out. Therefore, the realm of the pure land appears in front of you and becomes a Buddha immediately. This is theoretically the realm of Mahayana seeing the Tao.Only after seeing the Tao can one practice the Tao.To see the rice is to cook, to see the Tao is to see the rice, and to cultivate the Tao is to cook the rice.As for the boundary of the Mahayana view of the Tao, we do not talk about Zen enlightenment now, but only talk about the principles of Kung Fu and the view of the ground to explain. The teaching and the sect are different. For example, in Pure Land Buddhism, if you recite Namo Amitabha Buddha, you will get home. If you talk about teaching principles, why do you recite Namo Amitabha Buddha, what is the reason for reciting it, how to recite Namo Amitabha Buddha, etc. These are teaching principles. So there is a difference between Zong and Jiao, but there is no one who understands Zong who does not understand Buddhism, and those who understand Buddhism do not necessarily understand Zong, because they have not done kung fu.You must do kung fu to verify it, so it is said here, "The limit is only in the Mahayana." This is what the teachings say. "It is said that in the person of the Mahayana see, there is a view of great merit and victory." Maitreya Bodhisattva said, I said in this book, that the merits and virtues in the body have been accomplished before we can talk about seeing the Tao, and seeing the Tao depends on this physical body. "There are sixteen moments in the path of seeing captured by the wisdom of the path." We can see the Tao in an instant. This is what Maitreya Bodhisattva distinguished for us. "Buddha's purity is the purest one, because it can cure all the obstacles in the three realms. Xu Mahayana's practice is based on the wisdom of energy and the equality of reality and emptiness. Therefore, it is the true antidote that can completely purify all obstacles in the three realms." As for the antidote method, learning Buddhism and practicing Taoism is not enough to cure all diseases with one prescription. Eighty-four thousand methods are all antidote methods. When you are practicing, you suddenly feel empty, and after a long period of emptying, you will feel drowsy and fall asleep. At this time, you need to treat it, you must not be empty, and mention "being". "There" has been around for a long time, and it becomes scattered again. Therefore, when doing kung fu while meditating, you must know the countermeasures. Someone asked: Sometimes when you do well in chanting Buddha, chanting mantras or doing visualization, why do you fail later? Because you feel good, you think in your heart, this is good!Very sure!In fact, it is already scattered. The more you mess around, the more you will be dragged away by chaos, of course it is bad, and you don't know how to deal with it.Practitioners must know all kinds of methods, regardless of whether they are outsiders or insiders. In a certain state, one should immediately practice a certain method, and one cannot continue to practice the original method, otherwise problems will arise.Especially in our psychology, no matter how many karma, it is difficult to adjust it, so there are 84,000 different ways to deal with it.The so-called "infinite vows to learn the Dharma" is not limited to one, and it is wrong to think that this one is right and the others are wrong. Now Maitreya Bodhisattva is telling us the importance of all purity to cure dharmas.Only the pure state of the Buddha is the total antidote. What can be treated and what is treated must be just right. For example, when we are distracted, we need to practice tranquility, when we are drowsy, we need to practice meditation, when we are drowsy, we need to practice Qi, and if we refine Qi too much, there will be problems, so it must be just right. All kinds of methods that can be cured and can be cured must be learned. What did you learn about the antidote? "Break the sequence" to gradually change our habits. This course talks about insight, attainment, and fulfillment of vows, but the fulfillment of vows is not discussed because it is difficult to achieve.Habitual faults cannot be broken, but mental behavior and habitual energy cannot be broken, and the merits and virtues in the body cannot be achieved, so kung fu will not improve. After the merits and virtues in your body have been achieved, the body will naturally change every second and every day, and change to the direction of victory. This principle is rigid, and this classic has explained it very clearly. But here it tells us that habitual energy is gradually broken. For example, as I said just now, when you have attained samadhi and your thoughts are pure, you can’t stand the slightest mistakes of others. What’s the reason? It means that you have polished the mirror too brightly and too cleanly, so that no dust can fall, and you can see it clearly when it falls, and you hate it when you look at it, so you have to wipe it off. Therefore, only liking the cleanliness and disliking the dirt, this is not perfect merit and virtue, and it is also a fault, it must be cut off immediately. These Buddhist scriptures have said that practice is not that simple. Therefore, "being able to rule out what is to be ruled in order to break faults", in this method, is the practice of Mahayana, "because of the wisdom of energy and the equality of measured reality and emptiness".In the realm of Mahayana cultivation, delusion is emptied, and the pure nature comes out. It is the self-nature that "can" be purified, only "can", and it is not enough to get rid of the "place" of delusion. "Enable both to perish" is not enough, we need to "enable both".Therefore, the wisdom of energy and the real space measured are equal and indivisible. This is called the mind of great non-discrimination. Only in this way can we "purify all obstacles in the Three Realms".This is the true remedy for all obstacles, neither emptiness nor existence. These are all about theories. If you understand it, you know that you will neither fail nor achieve anything, then you can practice the heretics you usually learn, and those who have achieved something. Why?Because it needs to be used when curing, and it should be used when regulating the mind. Therefore, learning more knowledge is a big obstacle, but after becoming enlightened, I am afraid that you do not know enough. The more you know, the more convenient it will be to teach and save others. Therefore, it is said in the Great Prajna Sutra: "Great Prajna is like a great torch", you are not afraid of throwing anything, good or bad, the more you throw away, the greater your wisdom and light will be.A person with great prajna wisdom is not afraid that you are heretics or defiled, just come here, the more you come, the greater the radiance of his prajna will be. The second analogy is that the Great Prajna is like a peacock bird, so there is a practice in Tantric Buddhism called Peacock Mingwang. Why is it like a peacock?Peacocks only eat poisonous things, such as centipedes and scorpions, the more poisonous the better for it.After taking more drugs, the feathers will be more beautiful, and without drugs, its nutrition will be worse. That's why the great Bodhisattva can go to hell, save sentient beings in the six realms, eat poison, have brighter feathers, and greater wisdom. "The admonishment here refers to the nine ways of cultivating the lower and lower classes, and the elimination of the nine upper and upper classes of solid grasping and inappropriate principles." The great patriarchs in ancient times had disputes, saying that it is impossible and impossible to practice the supreme way with the methods of heretics. The dispute here is that: there is no reason and illogical for cultivating the nine low and low kinds of Taoism and cutting off the nine high and high kinds of real attachments. "For example, a weak scholar cannot subdue a strong enemy, but an inferior enemy does not need a strong scholar." For example, how can a weak person subdue a strong enemy? "Such a low-level cultivation of the Tao cannot eliminate the high-level solid attachments; breaking the low-level solid attachments does not require high-level cultivation." People who practice low-level Taoism, if they take the wrong path, will never be able to achieve high-level Buddhahood, and they will cut off low-level habits and deep-rooted taints, and they don’t need to practice as high as Prajna. . "There is no fault in the answer. It is like laundering clothes. It takes hard work to wash away coarse dirt, but it takes a lot of hard work to wash away fine dirt. If it can be cured, it should be reasonable." Maitreya Bodhisattva said, this is not a problem. It is the same as when we wash clothes. If the clothes are too dirty, just wash them harder; if the clothes are not too dirty, just wash them lightly.Low-grade cultivators have serious faults, so they need to work harder; if the faults of martial arts are shallow, they should practice less. This is not a problem. All Wisdom Fourth: "It's not this shore or the other shore, and you don't live in the middle. You know that the three generations are equal, so it's called Prajna." Mahayana practice, prajna achievement, that is, the enlightenment method taught by Zen. "The realization of non-self wisdom is held by the wisdom of the Hinayana, that is, the appearance of all wisdom, which is found in all saints throughout the world. Viewing the worldly things is boundless, and now viewing the types of Mahayana sage wisdom, that is, wisdom does not live in the three existences, the way, the wisdom, and the appearance. From the Mahayana to see the Tao to the Buddha.Looking at worldly things is breaking the edge of extinction, and now observing the kind of Mahayana sage wisdom, that is, the path, wisdom, and wisdom of extinction. From the Mahayana to see the Tao to the Buddha. " Now we talk about Mahayana, which is the so-called determination and epiphany in Zen Buddhism. You seek enlightenment every day, why do you realize it!It’s good not to realize it, the world is very interesting if you don’t realize it, and after realizing it, the world is like a dream, so what’s so fun about it.Why learn if it's not fun? There are two goals in studying Buddhism and Taoism: "Wisdom can't live in the three existences, and sadness can't enter Nirvana." It is entering into the world, not out of the world. The realm of Mahayana Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is that wisdom cannot live in the world, and sorrow cannot enter Nirvana. To put it simply, the combination of compassion and wisdom is the Bodhisattva way, or in other words, the way of both wisdom and compassion. When one attains the perfection of wisdom and merit, one is the Buddha's fruition, and this is the principle of the combination of wisdom and compassion. For those who cultivate the Tao, the first step is to realize "selflessness".What this wisdom realm feeds on is the type of Hinayana visualization, that is, the Hinayana realm that sees all the wisdom of emptiness, and the realm of seeing emptiness. This range, all saints "have all the saints in the world" - all saints can see this aspect of emptiness. This sentence is so happy to say, and it is also the greatest. All saints, regardless of Confucianism, Taoism, or even other religions, must see the empty side before they can be called holy. "Looking at worldly things is boundless, and seeing the Mahayana sage wisdom." It's boring to look at the worldly things, and it's called looking at the world to practice Taoism. To be treated means to be relative. Secular things take time to break it, there is a limit. "The Mahayana sage wisdom of the present type, that is, the wisdom does not live in the way of the three existences", theoretically achieves "the wisdom does not live in the three existences", seeing the emptiness on the ground, if it falls on the side of the emptiness, it is also the Hinayana, let alone you The realm of emptiness is not yet the end.The person who sees the emptiness is what Master Hanshan said: "It is easy to step down in the thorn bushes, but it is difficult to turn around under the curtain of the moon." Emptiness, emptiness is not different from form." Form and emptiness are not dual, which is "the wisdom and appearance of the Tao of the three existences". This boundary ranges from Mahayana seeing the Tao to the Buddha's fruition. It is the same principle that one cannot be saddened by Nirvana. "The Bodhisattva's omniscient wisdom, Prajna Paramita, does not live on the shore of life and death from wisdom, does not live on the other shore of Nirvana from compassion, and does not live in the middle of the two shores, so that both sides are broken, and it is captured by the wisdom of emptiness. Hold on to the present.” A person who proves the Tao is the Zen sect who talks about enlightenment. What do you realize? It is "Prajna Paramita".After enlightenment, wisdom can't live and die, and sorrow can't enter Nirvana, "Nirvana, life and death are empty flowers".Chuanzi Cheng quoted Jiashan's words: "There is no trace of the hiding place, and where there is no trace, don't hide." It means that wisdom cannot live in the three existences, and sorrow cannot enter Nirvana. Those who have truly proved and seen the Tao in Chinese Zen Buddhism are not just a little bit pure, or a little bit empty in mind. Therefore, we should pay more attention to the practice and insights of Linji, Caodong, etc. who founded the sect and established the religion.Shi Chengjin's "Zen Buddhism Directly Points to the Causes and Predestinations of Major Events" should also be read carefully. The examples he cites are all very good, and they all talk about practical practice, and they have actually attained the state of conformity with the scriptures. That is enlightenment and enlightenment. You don’t think you are enlightened just because of a small cause, a small realm, a small purity, or a small emptiness. "Emptiness such as form and aggregate, the dharma of the three generations, the Bodhisattva such as giving, and the products governed by thinking and thinking." Although everyone is practicing, they still haven't figured out the aspect of form and dharma. If the material world formed by the four elements cannot be broken, it would be self-deceiving to say that they are enlightened. How can the material world empty it?
