Don't regard "concentration" as the Dharma. This concept must be understood clearly. The unique dharma of Dharma is "wisdom".Concentration is a kind of practice, but the cultivation of wisdom cannot be separated from concentration.In other words, outsiders can do samadhi, how can you not do it if you study Buddhism! Shakyamuni Buddha said: "Buddha can understand all wisdom and penetrate the source of all dharmas." Buddha can understand all dharmas and is the teacher of heaven and man. Since you want to learn Buddhism, of course you also need to learn concentration.

The last time I talked about the practice aspect, it is commonly known as doing kung fu.Do you remember?Some students in my lectures couldn't take notes, thinking that there was no order, and I was really wronged. I just quoted from the quotations;If you take notes, you can’t continue. In fact, the content is very organized. Outlines of the first two classes: from the facts to the outlines of the four lines, and then transferred here.If the prajna is not enough, the Buddhadharma will also become a demonic realm, that is, the attachment will become "I".For example, the realm of the five yins—the yin of form, the yin of feeling, the yin of perception, the yin of action, and the yin of consciousness—is equal to the fifty kinds of yin demons that may occur.Some people are frightened when they hear that they have gone mad when they meditate, and they become "demonic" on the spot and cannot sit still.Where did the fire actually come from?Where did the devil come from?Demons are derived from the word grinding, and there is no such thing as a demon.It's like people all over the world talking about ghosts, but their concepts are still inseparable from the form of human thought.That is to say, the concepts of heaven and gods are the same in both the West and the East.If there is a ghost in your consciousness, the ghost will come. "When you open your mouth, you will lose your spirit, and your mind will be cold." Obsession is caused by your own mental thinking, which is created by yourself, and you just "grind" yourself.

The so-called obsession is written indiscriminately in martial arts novels.Why are you talking about this?Because we refer to the five yin realms, each has ten demonic realms.In fact, there are more than ten kinds. The Buddha only talked about the big principles.Human psychology and cultural development in today's society are all demonic realms, and people don't see clearly.One is the Buddhist scriptures, which are too ancient, and I am trapped by them; the other is too modern, and I can't see clearly.Combining the two, we know that the Buddha Tathagata is merciful and merciful, which has already been said.If I only talked about the fifty kinds of yin demons, it would take several months, so I have to omit them for the time being.

When introducing the state of form and shade last time, it was mentioned that "strengthening delusion as its foundation", the Buddha analyzed delusion very clearly. Some people don’t understand what solid delusion means. Have you ever been to a mental hospital?The unbreakable morbid psychology that forms psychosis is a kind of solid delusion.Strictly speaking, on an expanded scale, all the realms of color and shade are solid illusions.This category can only be broken after the sensuality is exhausted. Now let us look at the situation after the suffocation is exhausted. "That good man, if you practice samadhi, even if you have experienced the exhaustion of Yin, even if you have not exhausted it, your mind will be separated from its form, like a bird out of a cage. No problem." I felt comfortable while meditating, but soon my legs became numb, and these are the yin areas.Breaking away from this feeling state is the end of suffering.It’s definitely not like a dead person, but you feel happy, comfortable, and one with the void of the universe. I can’t describe it, and I don’t want to describe it, because you haven’t reached this level and you can’t understand it.

After the yin has been exhausted, although the outflow has not yet been exhausted, the mind can leave the body, like a bird out of the cage, and reach the body of the mind of a Bodhisattva.Don’t think about it, if you can reach this point, you don’t need to buy a plane ticket to go to the United States, you can just go, but others can’t see you, but you can see others. (Audience laughs) "For example, there is a person who is familiar with sleepy words. Although the person knows nothing else, his words have become phonologically coherent. If he is insomnia today, he understands his words. This is called Xiangyin District Yu."

When one reaches this state, it is like a person talking in a dream. The words in the dream are very clear and organized, but they are forgotten after they have been said, and they must ask the person next to them, who will then tell him the details.The Buddha used the metaphor that people can be renounced, but they can't be the masters themselves. It's like talking in a dream, and they seem to understand it, but they don't seem to understand it.Reaching this state is still within the scope of thinking function, and is inseparable from the state of consciousness, which belongs to the scope of thinking yin.In other words, your delusional thoughts are still moving, but the Buddha did not say this sentence.then:

"If the thoughts are exhausted, the floating thoughts are eliminated, and in the enlightened mind, it is like removing dust and dirt, a life and death, the head and the tail are illuminated, and the name is the end of the cloud. It is a person who can transcend the turbidity of afflictions, observe their origin, and integrate delusions as their foundation." . Going beyond the realm of thinking yin, Jueming's mind at this time seems to be free of dust and dirt.If there is no thought in the heart, and there are no idle thoughts, then Jue Ming's heart will be as if there is no dust and dirt, and only then can we talk about life and death.The biggest problem of human beings is fear of death, not knowing where to live, let alone where to die.This so-called future is boundless between life and death.For example, people are afraid of ghosts in the dark, but in fact they are not afraid of ghosts, but mainly because they are "fear of not knowing".

Once you know what ghosts are, you won't be afraid anymore. If this thought is exhausted, you will know how to be born and how to die.Hinayana Arhats can be divided into life and death. What is our segmented life and death?It is the karma of all kinds of omissions, good and bad, etc., which are induced by the help of afflictions and obstacles, and the results of the three realms and six realms.This kind of retribution has different stages, so it is called "segmented life and death".All ordinary beings with insight and confusion are in the process of life and death in stages.

The six realms of reincarnation, that is, our segmented life and death.Arhat can divide life and death into stages, but it is not the ultimate, because it has not yet changed life and death, it is just a leave of absence. (The so-called changeable life and death refers to the good karma without omissions, the pure land retribution outside the world that is intended to help the obstacles and the senses. It is the life and death of the Arahant and above the saints who cut off seeing and thinking).Only when you reach the Bodhisattva realm can you change life and death.So, if you don't want to come next time, it's not that easy!An arhat can only take a long vacation.

At this time, do not stop thinking, but pay attention to the following sentence: "eliminate floating thoughts".Many people who study Zen fall into this state, thinking that this is the ultimate.Therefore, it is easy for Zen to fall into the Hinayana realm, guarding the emptiness, thinking that it is the way.Although it is about Mahayana, it is actually very difficult.The Mahayana is based on fulfillment of vows, supplemented by insight and practice.Making a wish is easier said than done!so hard! At this point in kung fu, it is nothing but "integration". When delusions reach another state, there will be no troubles. At this time, it is just the superficial delusions that melt - "elimination of delusions".Still inseparable from the role of delusions.The Buddha explained very clearly that this is still within the scope of thinking function. "He good man, if you practice samadhi, those who think about the yin and yin will disappear, and your dreams will be extinguished, and you will sleep forever, and you will feel clear and quiet, just like the clear sky, and there will be no more rough and heavy past shadows. Look at the world, the earth, the mountains and rivers, like a mirror. Ming, there is no sticking in the past, no trace in the past, and the emptiness of receiving and taking care of it. When it is gone, it is the only essence. From the thread, you can see that the same birth base is like a wild horse, shining brightly and disturbing, and it is the ultimate pivot point of the floating roots and dust. This is called the Yin area of ​​the formation." The five Yins of form, feeling, thought, formation, and consciousness are equal to fifty states. According to the principles of Buddhist scriptures, there are tens of millions of kinds.Therefore, the psychology of ordinary people is abnormal, and it is not pleasant to say that it is abnormal, so it is called ordinary people: upside-down sentient beings. The supernatural powers that want to be exhausted are great!The first is destiny magic power.At that time, there was a monk in the mainland who was specialized in one thought and persevered, which could affect the physical world. He asked me to take refuge in him, but I did not take refuge in it.Supernatural powers are prohibited by the precepts and cannot be played.If he violated the precepts, he would be punished with an incense board. Later, his arms were all knocked off, and he was driven out of the mountain gate.Why so strict?Which makes sense. What is wanting to be exhausted?The Heart Sutra tells you: "There is no ignorance, and there is no end to ignorance." Where has ignorance gone?Sended.Didn’t Consciousness-only tell you to turn your knowledge into wisdom?In fact, it is useless to talk about it, it will harm the people who come later; if you don't talk about it, it will also harm people.So the Buddha said: Do not speak!Can't say it!Better keep your mouth shut because it's so hard. The above discussions are all about the scope of Yin.Let me tell you a secret, Tathagata secret cause: The center of the five yins is "thinking".So if you have mastered the Buddhist scriptures, you can pick out all the twelve volumes of the Tripitaka and work on them one by one. If you get in, you won’t be able to climb out.Those who can climb out will say: "That's all."But the people who can get out are different, this is gossip.Let me tell you now, this is the realm of thinking about yin and death. The next step is the realm of Yin.After the yin is exhausted, ordinary dreams disappear. The Heart Sutra says: "Stay away from upside-down dreams and attain ultimate nirvana." This is the same sentence as "dreams are eliminated" in the Shurangama Sutra, but the two metaphors are different.The Heart Sutra talks about the truth, and the Shurangama Sutra talks about the practice of realization. The themes are different, so don't talk about it. How do you call "dreams extinguished"?For example, "A sage has no dreams, a fool has no dreams", let alone those who have dreams during sleep, because many people forget them when they wake up.As for the absence of delusions, being able to talk, speak, and do things, "respond to things that come, and not stay in the past", and have a peaceful mind, can a person who studies Zen do this?cannot! There are many opinions.Only those who have truly reached the end of their dreams can achieve "dreams are extinguished, and sleep is eternal."Falling asleep is the same as being awake, right?It can be said that none of them did it.When I can really do it, sleeping there is very comfortable, and I can hear myself snoring. As long as I sleep for one hour, it is equivalent to sleeping for seven hours.Another interesting thing is that I clearly know that I am sleeping, and the heaviness in my heart is gone, how cute it is!At that time, there was a large Guangming Zang on the top of Panshan Mountain in Hanshan, which was far behind this one. "Looking at the mountains and rivers in the world, it is like a mirror appreciating the light. There is nothing sticky when it comes, and there is no trace when it passes by. It is echoed in vain, and it is not old. Everything is so good, it's like looking at it all in a big round mirror.At this time, "when people look at a flower in front of them, it looks like it is in a dream."So how can a scholar understand this kind of scriptures?This is about the realm of kung fu, which illuminates everything like a light, "When things come, they should be answered, and the past will not stay."For sympathetic response, it’s okay to answer it, and it’s gone. "Liao Wang Chen Xi", seeing that everything in the world is illusory, if you get it, you can get it, and if you pass it, you won't have it.He also lost his temper, and when it was over, there was nothing wrong with it.You are wrong, he scolds you, you should scold, the past is gone.Unlike ordinary people, who care about everything in their hearts. At this time, the old habits have changed, and I only see one thing in my life.a what? "Within the universe, among the universe, there is a treasure, the secret lies in the shaped mountain", there is really something.Let me tell you a matter of fact, when you reach the end of your kung fu, you really feel that something in your life is coming back to you. It is neither soul nor material. It is absolutely idealistic. It can produce everything. There is something before the heaven and the earth, and the intangible is lonely; it can be the master of everything, and it will not wither in the four seasons. This is here, you can do whatever you like, and you can definitely control your mood.The Shurangama Sutra cannot describe that thing, so it is called "essence".It's not the sperm of physiological sperm.In other words, the physiological sperm and eggs are transformed by that thing; all cells and nerves are also transformed by him.So if you haven’t reached that realm, let’s talk about the two words of “Cultivation and Ding”, so don’t talk about it! However, this is just the beginning, the beginning of practice, and it cannot be regarded as success.Therefore, studying Buddhism is scientific, one plus one equals two.This one hasn't arrived yet, so don't blow it!This part of the Buddhist scriptures is still incomprehensible, and you will only be able to understand it when you work hard. "Essence" is what Zen Master Baizhang said: "The spiritual light shines alone, it is far away from the roots and dust, and the body reveals the truth, regardless of the words, but away from the illusion, it is like seeing the Buddha." It is this thing.But when you study Zen, it is generally said that you have found "this" and "that", that is not to the extent that you are a Buddha, it is just that you can recognize the path to become a Buddha. Even as the Shurangama Sutra says here, after "falsely accepting and responding, leaving aside old habits, the only essence is true", it is also "the root of birth and death, which is revealed from then on."Haven't become a Buddha yet.In reality, it's still a delusion. Phenomenon of exhaustion of yin and entering into the realm of yin: "Seeing all living beings in the ten directions and twelve sentient beings, they are all of their own kind. Although they haven't understood the thread of their fate, they see the same birth base, like a wild horse, shining and disturbing. It is the ultimate pivot point of floating roots and dust. This is called the Xingyin area. Yu.” At this time, you see more types of life—a total of twelve types of sentient beings (also referred to as ten kinds of different births, such as womb-born, wet-born, egg-born, transformed, colored, colorless, thinking, and non-thinking) , Non-existing thoughts, non-absent thoughts, etc., twelve types of life.) At this state, you can see all the types of life in the ten directions, and you can see them clearly.At the same time, "see the same life base", see the driving force of our life, that is, the root of the karma of life, there is something moving, replace it with a materialistic analogy, it is like seeing atoms in science, there is an atom in the Motion, although its shape is different, each has its own shape, but its fundamental structure is all atoms.And this "birth base" of the combination of mind and matter is moving like electric energy. Recently, asexual reproduction was mentioned in the newspaper. Someone asked me if it was possible. I said it was possible. It was possible in theory, but if it was scientifically possible, then I didn’t know.A classmate who just came back from abroad said, don’t be deceived, it’s just a scam for money, and he doesn’t believe it is actually possible. According to Buddhism, the life of the Desire Realm depends on sex and lust.Regardless of the life in the desire realm, the form realm, or the formless realm, there is something moving. This thing is "like a wild horse." This wild horse is not a horse.Zhuangzi said: "Wild horses are also like dust, and the breath of living things is blown together." It is like a sun flame, like light and shadow.Our karmic bodies and our lives come from a common "birth base".Yiyi does not refer to the figurative luminescence, but to describe the flickering when moving and reincarnating, which is the state of the bardo body and the yin.Sometimes, those who have the power of concentration suddenly see a shadow flashing in front of you, which is a bardo body coming to reincarnate. Of course, he is not looking for you, but just passing by, and it will pass quickly. "Clear disturbance", in a pure and quiet state, a power of disturbance. "Floating root dust", when you rub your eyes, the stars will immediately shine. This is an illusory phenomenon that is stimulated by the physiology and glows.This phenomenon must be investigated, and it is foolish to believe it without investigating it. "Ultimate pivot point", practitioners who are in the realm of yin practice, when their kung fu reaches this point, it is exactly "practice yin" and "concentration" You don't have to rely on sitting in meditation, just in concentration, you know the source of every life, clearly.Even the driving force of my own life, the driving force of the combination of mind and body, is clear.This state is called "Xing Yin District Yu", and walking is movement.The Book of Changes says: "Heaven moves vigorously, and a gentleman strives for self-improvement."Movement is the eternal movement of the universe, and Chinese culture is so lively that nothing moves.If it doesn't move, the universe will be destroyed.Some people say that sitting in meditation is quietness.In fact, entering concentration is the great movement. When you reach this "Xingyin District", you can clearly see a driving force of birth and death. "If this clearness disturbs the primordial nature, the nature enters the primordial clarity, and once the primordial habit is clear, it is like a wave that disappears and turns into clear water, and the name and deeds are yin, and the person can surpass the turbidity of all living beings." Without the effect of waves, the universe returns to that In the great static, it goes beyond this great static.It is described as clear water, which turns into no waves. "The sea is thirty thousand miles away in a quiet night, and the moon is bright and the tin is flying down to the sky." Monks must make special efforts to Chinese culture, and keep the records during the Qing Dynasty, which is very impressive.This poem is this state. "Taihu Lake is 36,000 hectares, and the moon is in the heart of the waves." It is also this realm.This is the realm of "exhaustion of yin".The Buddha explained it to you step by step, step by step, and there is no way to wait. The Shurangama Sutra says: "The principle leads to sudden enlightenment, and when enlightenment is combined, things are not eliminated suddenly, because the sequence is exhausted." There is no way to make you wait.Practicing here, you can transcend the turbidity of all living beings, and you can get rid of the root of life and death. "Look at its origin, and take it as its root in hidden delusions."This is still a big delusion, he did not say that this big delusion is wrong, pay attention!This is the "secret cause practice", to grasp this scripture topic, the secret lies in it, the Buddha did not say that this delusion is wrong.However, the Buddha told you to understand clearly. Turning delusion into solid delusion is the state of color yin; .But where is the constant? Shakyamuni Buddha's Buddhism is really a big dictionary, his every word and every word is very good.Secluded delusion, elevating delusion into another state, secluded and far-reaching, unlimited depth, deep to "hidden", triggering the function of unknowable thoughts. look!Delusion can make it firm, ignorant, and transparent, and it can also play a hidden role, so special attention should be paid to the study of Buddhist scriptures. "He good man, who cultivates samadhi, and the yin is exhausted. The nature of the world is secluded and disturbed; the same vitality is suddenly broken. Shen Xigang Niu, Potegara, the deep vein of rewarding karma, and the sense of suspense. In the Nirvana Heaven, you will realize great enlightenment.Crowing like a rooster, looking towards the east, already has a fine color.The six faculties are empty and quiet, without any fuss, clear inside and outside, entering without entry, reaching as deep as twelve types in the ten directions, observing the source and grasping the source, all types are not summoned, in the ten directions, they have achieved the same, the essence is not sinking , discovering the secret, this is called Yin Yu District. "This is the realm of only consciousness. In fact, the five skandhas are also changed by only consciousness, and they are all born by only consciousness.The Shurangama Sutra explains the functions of the five Yins, which is different from the direction explained by only the consciousness-only dharma.Everyone has to work together to study in order to get a comprehensive understanding.But that's barely enough to say. When changing from the yin of movement to the yin of consciousness, when the yin of the movement is exhausted and the yin of the anode is born, one step further is to enter the yin of consciousness.There are also ten kinds of demons in the yin realm. When they reach the consciousness yin, they are not called demons, but heretics. What is heresy?Arhats with four fruits, sravakas and Yuanjue, are all heretics in Buddhism.Because they have not thoroughly realized the Bodhi path and fruit.Therefore, from this point of view, they are all outsiders.This is according to the Buddha.Therefore, some great thinkers and great philosophers cannot become Buddhas, because they like to engage in thinking in life after life, and if they continue to do so forever, it will take many kalpas before they can turn back.The Buddha didn't say that this was wrong, but he pitied them for being trapped by thinking and knowledge, and wandering around forever.But they will not go to the lower three realms, as the Shurangama Sutra says: "Pure thought will fly away, and pure emotion will fall."Those who engage in thinking are going upwards, but those who are led by lust will fall downwards. That's why I often say that many intellectuals who study often don't get along well with their husbands and wives and families because they develop too much in their thinking.The Buddhist scriptures say how much love, how much thinking, will fall and be born.According to this, all living things and even plants also have attachments. When the time comes to the end of the yin, will this universe really be able to do it? "Pute Gala" (Pute Gala, the old translation is people or sentient beings, and the new translation is "numbers for interest", that is, in the six reincarnations, it is often reincarnated in life and death.) At this time, due to "karma" Come to pay the debt, settle the debt.At this time, the yin is exhausted, and you can know where the key points of the bardo body are. This force cannot absorb yourself, and most people will go away as soon as they absorb it.When the yin is exhausted, you can ask this life and death for a long vacation. Some people can't sit still after sitting for a long time, either because their legs are numb, or they just feel like they can't sit still, or they want to look at their watch.The function of Yin movement is to move after sitting for a long time, or to move the heart of a benevolent person.Believe it or not try it!People who practice Zen are full of Huatou everywhere, take a look, why?Why do people who get up at six o'clock get up on time at six o'clock every day? Because his nerves are more persistent, these daily things are Huatou.The Buddha can understand all wisdom and penetrate the source of all dharmas. Don't be ignorant of everything and be confused about everything. At this point, the suction of this induction is broken. At this time, life and death cannot be the master, but some people can be the master, and some people may be half the master.Some people are not confused when they enter the womb, but they are confused when they stay in the womb;I used to have a friend who still had some memory images when he was born, that's why. At this state, it is just that "the induction is suspended, and in the Nirvana Heaven, you will realize the great enlightenment", and you will be completely enlightened. It's like the sky is about to dawn, let's see if there is a little light coming out.At this time, the six senses of the body and mind are pure, and you will not run outside, and you will enter the state of no entry. This is the Shurangama Sutra Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva mentioned the method of realizing the perfect penetration of the ears: "Entering a place of exile, what you enter is stillness."At this time, the body and mind understand the root of the life of the twelve types of sentient beings, and have the "foundation of meditation and self-cultivation". Instead of going to reincarnation, you can stay in the self-nature, just as Fu Dashi said in the verse: There is something before the heaven and the earth, and the intangible is lonely; it can be the master of everything, and it will not wither in the four seasons. This is the area of ​​consciousness that enters the liberation of life.
