"Store the melody you hear in memory." "...when you are only human your ears hear only fragments of the Great Voice. But if you listen to it, remember faithfully so that the voice you hear is not missed, and strive to learn from that Learn the meaning of the mystery around you in the sound. For when the individual has the sound, the individual exists in it.” "Store in memory the melody you hear." There are moments, that are rare, unique moments, but there are still moments where you are closer to the melody that exists. The circumstances may be different, but the melody is the same.A child is chasing butterflies, picking flowers in the garden, just relaxing on the grass, he feels a harmony, a melody in his being. At that moment, relaxing on the grass, or chasing butterflies, or collecting flowers, or doing nothing: just playing with pebbles on the bank; at that moment, the child is completely one with the whole. .No regrets, no denials. The child accepts existence as it is, and he is accepted by existence.

When you accept existence, existence accepts you. When you reject, existence also rejects you.Presence is your echo.It follows you no matter what you do. Small children are accepted.Children have no past and no future. This moment, this moment, is enough. The little child exists here and now. Then he feels a harmony; he feels a melody. That's why later on when you get old, you keep thinking about childhood; you keep saying that childhood is paradise. Why?Because there are many moments that happen when you are fully accepting. And children are totally receptive. The moment a child starts to say no, he is no longer a child.Childhood is gone, Paradise is gone.

Think back to moments in your childhood when life was blissful, and just being was ecstasy.Just being, just breathing, is enough. You don't need anything to make you happy.Whoever you are is enough to make you joyful. Collect these moments.Remember them, live them again.Sometimes you have to forget your age.Close your eyes and walk back, becoming a child again.Don't just think about it, but live it all over again.Become a child again. In your memory, run, sing, and play like a child.Just replay your childhood again and you will have a new light, a new awakening.A new life energy will flow through you.

When you are a teenager, you fall in love with someone.Rapture came again. You feel very good again. There is nothing wrong.Life is good; everything is as it should be.For a moment it reappeared. To collect, to nourish that moment.Go into them again and again. Then when you are old, you sit and meditate in the mosque, or pray in the mosque, or in the church. Then pray again in the mosque, or in the church. And then again. Collect these moments, for they will make you more capable, more sensitive, and you will hear the greater music of the celestial bodies. They are fragments, but you have heard in them something beyond you.No matter the situation, if a kind of happiness comes to you, cherish that moment and make a space in your heart for it.Gather up these memories of joyful music you have heard occasionally; it will be instructive.

You can't hear all the music all of a sudden. You can only hear it in fragments, because the mind is such a small thing. The aperture of the mind is very small, but the sky is very large. You can only see fragments. But, to collect those pieces.Create a oneness in them, feel oneness in them, and you become more capable, more sensitive, more alive, and then you can receive more. You become more receptive. But look at the human mind.It collects misery, it collects pain, it collects pain.It never collects a moment of joy.It continues to collect misery upon misery. Then life becomes hell. That's what you collect; that's how you see things.

You keep saying that happiness is only fleeting. But no one said that pain is short-lived, no one said that suffering is short-lived.You have been feeling that misery is permanent, pain is permanent, and happiness is only temporary. This is wrong. Both are similar and equal. Both are ephemeral. And in the end, the opposite is true.Pain will be short-lived, but joy will be eternal. But now, to this mind, everything is ephemeral.Pain comes and goes, and joy comes and goes. But you keep collecting pain, so it seems permanent; and you never collect, cherish and nourish moments of joy and joy, so they will seem fleeting.

this is your choice. To change this choice, because if you collect too much pain, you will collect more pain.Suffering will increase; you are helping the suffering to increase. Then you'll be surrounded by pain to the point where you can't see joy. Then you become a totally negative person. Do the exact opposite.Only then will it help your meditation. When pain happens, don't collect it.Let it happen, but don't nourish it.Why keep talking about it?Everyone talks about his own pain. Why so much emphasis on pain? Why pay so much attention to it?Remember one rule: things that you pay attention to too much will grow.Attention is the element that helps grow.If you pay attention to something, it will grow bigger.

Now, biologists say that if a child is loved he will grow bigger, because by loving the child one gets more attention.Even if the gardener pays more attention to a plant, it will grow bigger. If it is neglected, if everything else is given - proper soil, fertilizer, rain, sunlight; everything but conscious attention, it will still take longer to grow Big.Now here's the scientific fact: People found that to be true.If you love a plant, if you pay attention to it, if you talk to it, if you say to it sometimes, "I love you," it will grow faster.Attention is a vitamin. The most vital thing in existence is attention. If no one loves you, you start to wither. If no one pays attention to you, death is near. You want to die.If someone pays attention to you, you become alive again.Attention is life, the vitality of enthusiasm.

If no one loves you, you will kill yourself because you are incapable of loving yourself. If you are capable of loving yourself, if you are capable of paying attention to yourself, you don't need attention from other people.A Buddha can live alone on the earth. You can't help it.If you're alone, you're going to kill yourself right away. You say, "What's the use? Why should I live? Who's going to love me? Whom am I going to love?" Inwardly, psychologically, the same law applies. If you pay a lot of attention to pain, you help it grow.If you pay a lot of attention to happiness, you help it grow.Don't become your own enemy. If you're in pain, it's because you've been paying attention to the wrong things. To divert your attention.Even if you only have the memory of one joyful moment, that's enough.Pay attention to it, and it will grow. The seed will grow, and then it will become a big tree. ?? You can rest under its shade, you can dance under its shade. You can relax under it.

This scripture says, "Store in your memory the melody you hear." No matter when and where you hear the melody of life.Happiness means melody.Suffering refers to a chaotic experience, a chaotic experience.Suffering refers to a collection of disconnected experiences: it is noise, it has no music in it.Happiness means music. Not noise but inner harmony; not chaos but inner unity. "Store in memory the melody you hear" and it will grow, and one day you will be able to listen to the whole universal music. Then you don't need a teacher. Then you don't need to learn from anyone. Then you will be in direct contact with divinity without a middleman.

The teacher is the middleman. You cannot hear, but he can.You cannot see, but he can see.You cannot feel, but he can.You don't need him until you yourself are capable of hearing, seeing, and merging. Then the teacher is useless. Then you are in immediate, direct contact with the forces of the universe. Now you are in the river. And once you have the ability to stay in the joy and the melody, once you are in the river, God can speak to you directly. I am reminded of a story about the Sufi mystic Bayakid who lived in a village for several years. One day the villagers said to Bayakid: "We have been watching you for at least five years. You always pray and talk to God. Now we find that you don't talk and pray. Why this change? Have you become an atheist? Have you lost your belief in divinity? You don’t talk, you don’t pray now.” Bayakid laughed, and he said, "Before, I was always talking and praying. Now God is talking to me, so I have to be still and listen. The whole process has changed. Now I don't need to talk. Now, He will speak to me." This moment will come. But this moment will only come when your heart is filled with melody and divine silence comes to you.No more noise.Wherever you look you feel the music; wherever you look you feel the same; wherever you look you feel the same thing in many different forms. Now you are aware of the ocean. For you the waves are gone. There are no waves; only the ocean exists. Then, divinity speaks directly to you. That's not a metaphor. The existence will speak directly to you; that is not a metaphor, that is not a poetic expression. That kind of thing happens! But you have to be ready. And that preparation means a heart full of music, full of silence. "Learn lessons of harmony from it." "...life itself speaks, it is never silent. And the sound it makes is not a cry, as the deaf you think it is: it is a song. From it you learn that you are in harmony part; from it you learn that you are to obey the laws of harmony." For you right now, life seems like a cry.It is not.It looks like a cry because you are being interrupted.Life is a song, but to hear the song you yourself must become a song, because only likenesses can understand each other. You are a cry. That's why the song of life looks like a cry, a scream. That's because of you.You destroyed it, you disturbed it, you distorted it.When it comes it's a song, but when it hits you it becomes a cry because you are a cry.You are sick, sick. You are fragments; you are not the whole. The song has been destroyed within you.You yourself have to be a song, and then the whole of life will look like a song. Then there will be no negative nature. When you are positive, the whole of life becomes positive. This is what I call a theist.Theism does not refer to belief in God, and theism does not refer to belief in a theological theory.Theism means a total yes to existence, a yes to existence. But when will you be able to say yes?You can only say yes after hearing the song. How can you say yes to crying? How can you say yes to crazy noise? How can you say yes to unconsciousness, death, misery all around you?How can you say yes to it?But that's because of you, because of your eyes.Your eyes are a twisting factor. That's because of your heart.Your heart is so full of pain and misery that it cannot find anything else. That is your own echo. This verse says: "Learn lessons of harmony from it." Whatever those beautiful, ecstatic, joyous moments are, you have to collect them, cherish them, live with them, and live them. You become more sensitive to pleasure.Happiness will be more attracted to you, love will happen to you more, meditation will happen to you more easily.Life becomes a boon; existence becomes a celebration. But you have to create a happy heart. Then, find common ground among these joyful fragmented experiences.A child picks flowers, a young man loves a girl, an old man sits under a tree and meditates. They all said it was joy, and there must be something in common. On the periphery, on the outside, nothing is common.A child picks flowers, a young man loves a girl, an old man says a spell. There seems to be no common ground between these things. But if they all say, "This is joy!" then there must be something in common.Find that common element. To find that thing that has been there without which they cannot say these moments are moments of joy. Old people may deny that there are any shared moments. He might say, "This young man is stupid. A girl is a meaningless thing. It's just bones and meat and all kinds of filth. This young man is stupid. He's wasting his time. " Or the young man will say, "The child who picks flowers is living in fantasy. That's not true. When he becomes more aware he will throw the flowers away. This kind of thing is stupid. Collecting flowers is useless; Waste of time. He is ignorant." But there must still be something in common among them.If an old man says a young man is stupid (or a young man says a child is stupid) that only means that life has not yet become one for the old man. That just means the old man is still angry about his own childhood. He could not absorb his childhood into the flow of his life. His youth had not yet become part of his life. The old man was broken, divided. If the old man is really not divided, if he is always looking for the common element in all experiences, it is wisdom. If the old man understands what is essential in all these experiences, he will find that what happens when he sits with the girl he loves is the same as what happens in his meditation now.It was the same thing when he was picking flowers in the garden or playing with pebbles on the beach as a child. What is this common element?Attention, deep attention.Concentrate on.The child is engrossed in his stone, playing with it.The whole existence is forgotten. The child forgets himself. At that moment nothing exists, no mind exists.A child is engrossed. And because of that preoccupation, that total destruction of the ego, bliss arises. That becomes a meditation. The young man is engrossed in his lover. The whole existence is thrown away, as if nothing else exists.Only lovers exist.Even that is gone: the lover and the loved are gone.Only love exists.A moment of eternity exists, and that moment is eternity. There is no past and no future. That's all for now. That is a meditation.Love is a meditation. Then joy will arise. Now, the old man sits under a tree and recites a mantra, or sits in a temple and listens to the bell, and he feels very happy and ecstatic. What happened? The same thing happens in different situations, in different ages, in different experiences. The same thing is happening. The world disappears. The old man disappeared, the temple disappeared. Now this moment becomes everything. He is here and now.The bell continued to ring.Bells don't ring in the future: they ring in the present. No memory of the past enters, and no desire for the future. The old man is here and now. Joy arises when you are here and now.Like a child playing with rocks, a young man playing with his lover, or an old man chanting mantras and meditation. If you can feel harmony in all three experiences, you have found the ultimate law of life. You become wise.Wisdom will come to you.
