Dharma Overview 明旸法师 8038Words 2018-03-20
(1) The origin of the holy name of Ksitigarbha In Sanskrit, ksitigarbha is translated as dizang. The earth is the land, which has seven meanings: (1) It can produce righteousness. The land can produce all creatures and plants, which means that Bodhisattvas can produce all good dharmas. (2) Being able to subdue righteousness, the land can subdue all living things, allowing them to dwell in the natural world.Yu Bodhisattva can absorb all good dharmas in the heart of Dajue. (3) It can carry righteousness. The land can carry all mines, plants, and animals, and make them live in the world. It means that Bodhisattvas can carry all living beings, from this side of suffering to the other side of coolness. (4) Being able to store righteousness, the land can contain all minerals, plants and other things, which means that Bodhisattvas can contain all wonderful dharmas. (5) Being able to hold righteousness, the land can hold all things and make them grow, which means that Bodhisattvas can always hold all wonderful goodness and make them grow. (6) Being able to rely on righteousness, the land is the support of all things, which means that Bodhisattvas can be the support of all sentient beings. (7) Firm and unmovable, the land is solid and immovable, which means that Bodhisattva's Bodhisattva mind is as firm as a diamond and cannot be destroyed.

Tibetans have meanings such as secret tolerance and education. It means that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is in deep meditation, able to cultivate and guide all sentient beings to the ultimate good. There is a secret treasury in the world, which contains many gold and silver treasures, which can help the poor and benefit the world.Yu Bodhisattva possesses the secret treasury of the three virtues of the Tathagata, and the immeasurable wonderful method can save countless sentient beings and reach the shore of enlightenment. The "Ten Wheels of Earth Store Sutra" says: To be patient is like the earth, and to meditate deeply is like a secret storehouse, hence the name Ksitigarbha.

Why is the Bodhisattva called Dizang?According to the "Brief Records of Three Treasures' Induction", when Tathagata was in Vulture Mountain, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva traveled to various countries to teach and transform all living beings. In the elder's house, the spirit was taken away by ghosts, and the five hundred people in his family were all depressed and unconscious for ten days. When Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva saw this scene, he immediately thought: "It's really painful, it's really painful; there are such things in the world that you can't talk about. I am going to help these sentient beings." After saying this, he immediately jumped up. body, went to the Vulture Mountain, and said to the Buddha: "World Honored One! I saw more than 500 people in the elder Qiaoti's family, all of whom were robbed of their energy by evil spirits. They have been lying on the ground for several days. With a heart of compassion and love, I only hope that the World-Honored One will allow me to set up this method of relief. It will subdue all evil ghosts to people, make all walkers drive them as they please, and make the elders return to their original state." At that time, the Tathagata, from the top On the top, it shines light and hides in the ground. All the people in the meeting said to each other: "Today, the Tathagata shines light on the body of the Tibetan Bodhisattva. This Bodhisattva will surely become a great dharma and teach and transform all living beings." I read that there was a Buddha in the immeasurable, boundless, and long-lasting past, named Burning Light King. After the Buddha died, I lived in the land of ordinary people in the image. Annoyed, it is no different from that elder's family. I made this vow at that time: When I meet a good teacher, I will learn the method of subjugation. I will go to Mount Kutra and talk to the immortal. Ten thousand principles, eliminate evil. And gather all evil spirits to my place, follow the teacher's teachings, subdue their minds, and make them develop their Taoist minds. In an instant, all suffering beings in the hells will ride on lotus flowers, and all suffering will cease. At that time, the immortal Seeing that I have obtained such supernatural power, I prophesied to me and made this statement: In the immeasurable and boundless world, the Buddha and the prophecy are called Dizang. In the world of five turbidities, people, heaven and hell, you will always be an incarnation to save sentient beings. Let me avoid disasters, see the elders now, they are the same as the original. I am going to that house now, and I will rescue them." The World Honored One agreed, and the Bodhisattva was transformed, and more than five hundred people survived for a while.

(2) The deeds of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva There are several records in the Mahayana Buddhist scriptures about the deeds of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva: (1) In the past unbelievable asamkhya kalpa, there was a Buddha named Enlightened Flower Concentration Easeless King Tathagata, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was a Brahman girl at that time. Her mother, Yue Dili, did not believe in the Three Jewels and practiced evil ways. After death, she fell into hell and suffered. This woman sold her family property and sought out fragrant flowers widely, and made offerings to them in a pagoda temple. With sincerity and respect, let go of distracting thoughts, and recite the name of the Buddha wholeheartedly. His mother inherited her daughter's filial piety, and as a meritorious deed, she left prison and was born in heaven.

(2) Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has been a filial daughter for countless kalpas in the past, and her name is Guangmu. His mother liked to eat fish roe before she was alive, so she committed a serious crime of killing. The light-eyed girl knew that her mother would fall into the evil way after death, and asked the arhat to enter into meditation to observe, and she really meant that her mother would suffer great suffering in hell. The bright-eyed girl recited Buddha's name wholeheartedly, respectfully made offerings, and with the power of sincerity and filial piety, rescued her mother from suffering in hell.

These two stories show that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva advocates filial piety and attaches great importance to saving parents.Of course, what is more important is that when the parents are still alive, the children should do their utmost to be filial. In addition to providing food and clothing for parents, and serving the elderly and sick, the most fundamental thing is to persuade parents, respect the Three Jewels, firmly believe in cause and effect, stop evil and do good, and have correct views. The Chinese place great emphasis on filial piety, and their spirit of prudence and pursuit of the end is consistent with the Ksitigarbha Method. Therefore, it is not unreasonable for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to be widely respected by people in China. The reason why the Yulan Basin Dharma Assembly on July 15 and the Ksitigarbha Dharma Assembly on July 30 are widely popular in various parts of our country is that the Dharma Gate of Ksitigarbha is well integrated with Chinese filial piety. The four masters Lianchi, Hanshan, and Yiyi, as well as the former master Yuanying, all highly respect Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The point of interest is to combine Buddhism's death protection with Chinese Confucianism's filial piety, so that Buddhism can further adapt to Chinese society.

(3) Dizang Bodhisattva was once the son of a great elder long before indescribable kalpas. At that time, Fen Xun, a famous teacher of the Buddha, possessed the Tathagata of Myriad Practices. The son of the elder sees the Buddha's face so solemnly.I admire you.Ask the Buddha what to do.And get this phase? The Buddha replied: If you want to obtain this appearance, you will save all suffering beings for a long time. The son of the elder then made a vow, I will spend all the future kalpas in order to liberate all suffering beings, and then I will become a Buddha. The good friend of the Buddha is the embodiment of the majestic merits and virtues and the fullness of myriad deeds.Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva practiced the bodhisattva way a long time ago, which shows that he is a great Bodhisattva with a very high fruit status. This story tells people that a person's appearance is good or bad, which is the concentrated expression of his thoughts and behaviors.Today, people don't notice, they don't work hard on the beauty of behavior and thought, but resort to plastic surgery and dressing up, the result is just the opposite.Master Fen Xun Possesses Myriad Practices Tathagata's reply to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva: "If you want to realize this body, you must liberate all suffering beings for a long time." It is thought-provoking.

(4) Before immeasurable kalpas in the past, there was a Buddha named Omniscient Achievement Tathagata. When he was not a monk, he was a small king and made friends with neighboring kings. He performed ten good deeds and benefited all beings.A king made a vow: To become a Buddha early, to save all sentient beings, this is to achieve the Tathagata with all wisdom.A king made a vow: If you don't save all sentient beings first, get rid of suffering, make them happy, and attain Bodhi, you will never become a Buddha. This is the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. This story reflects the great wish of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva: "Only when all living beings are saved can we realize Bodhi; if the hell is not empty, we will never become a Buddha."In the eyes of ordinary people, the most difficult place is of course hell. Therefore, the object of the Bodhisattva's work is to save the sentient beings who have committed serious crimes in hell. Those sentient beings who are full of evil, as long as they change their evil and do good, and sincerely recite the holy name of Bodhisattva, they can relieve all suffering and make hell appear hidden. but not now. When a doctor treats a disease, he should pay attention to the combination of prevention and treatment, and the same is true for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva when he saves sentient beings. For those who have fallen into hell, let them leave prison. However, the focus of the work is still on those sentient beings who have not fallen into hell, how to make them maintain their good roots and never create evil karma to fall into hell.In the third volume of "Ten Wheel Sutra", there are four categories and eleven kinds of sins, which can make people fall into hell. (1) Five uninterrupted crimes: ①killing the father, ②killing the mother, ③killing an arhat, ④ shedding the blood of the Buddha, ⑤ breaking the harmony of the monk. (2) Create the five inseparable four root crimes: ① killing, ② stealing, ③ sexual misconduct, and ④ lying. (3) Slandering the Dharma. (4) Doubt the Three Treasures. If a person commits any of the above eleven kinds of crimes, he will fall into the endless prison.Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva widely publicizes that these eleven sins are the seeds and causes of falling into hell.Make people recognize what is good and what is evil, especially the extremely evil karma of falling into hell, in order to avoid evil and pursue good.If you don't create this kind of evil karma, you won't receive evil rewards and avoid falling into hell.

(3) Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva shoulders heavy responsibilities According to the Sutra of Fundamental Vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva used to be in the Taoli Heavenly Palace and was instructed by Sakyamuni. After Sakyamuni passed away and before the future Buddha Maitreya was born, in this transitional period, who will be the living beings in the Saha world? To be responsible?Sakyamuni Buddha handed over this burden to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. He also diligently asked him to pay special attention to those sentient beings who are still suffering in the evil realms, so that they can correct their evil ways and turn to righteousness, so that they can escape suffering and find happiness. When Maitreya Buddha was born, all living beings in the Saha world will be liberated. Volume 1 of the "Ten Wheel Sutra" says: "The Bodhisattva of the Bodhisattva has matured and sentient beings in the immeasurable and countless great kalpas, the world of five turbidities, and the world without Buddha. Today, it has always been like this since countless kalpas.

What kind of work does Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva do every day?In the "Ksitigarbha Ten Wheels Sutra", it is said: "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, every morning, enters the sand of the Ganges River. From the time of samadhi, he has spread all over the lands of the Buddhas in the ten directions, and accomplished all the sentient beings. Peace and happiness. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva returns his samadhi every morning to eliminate kalpas of swords and soldiers, make all sentient beings show compassion to each other, eliminate plagues, famines, and famines, and benefit peace and happiness for all sentient beings.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has two notable characteristics: (1) He often lives in dirty soil. "I am now learning from the World Honored One, and making such a great vow, I should attain the supreme Bodhi in this filthy land" (see Volume 1 of "Ten Wheel Sutra").The great spirit of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the more turbid and evil the world is, the more he will go, and the more evil karma is, the more sentient beings will be saved. Sakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha in the filthy soil. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva vowed to learn from Sakyamuni Buddha and became a Buddha in the filthy soil. It can be seen that he is the true successor of Sakyamuni's spirit.Sakyamuni Buddha entrusted Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva with the arduous task of educating all living beings in the filthy land during the Buddha-free period.Naturally, I am very relieved. (2) Appearing as a monk: Among all the Bodhisattvas, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is unique in that he appears as a monk.Unlike other bodhisattvas, they basically all belong to the current family.Such as Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, appearing as a great man in white clothes, or the appearance of heaven and man.Manjusri Bodhisattva appears as a boy.Puxian Bodhisattva is also present in the family. So now there are statues or portraits of Bodhisattvas in general temples, such as Manjusri, Samantabhadra, Avalokitesvara, Mahasthama and other Bodhisattvas. They all wear heavenly crowns and garlands of celestial beings. But Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is not the case. According to the "Rituals of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva", the image of Ksitigarbha must be in the shape of a sound hearer, wearing cassock, covering the right shoulder, holding a lotus in the left hand, and Shi Wuwei in the right, sitting on the lotus platform.Or there is a banner, holding a lotus in the left hand and a jewel in the right. Why does Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva appear in the form of sound and hearing? This was due to the conditions under which he worked in the dirt. The sentient beings in the filthy soil are ignorant, ignorant and dark, and have many wrong views.Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva appeared as a monk in order to make all living beings "respect the Three Jewels and believe in cause and effect". The "Ten Wheels Sutra" says: The image of a monk who becomes a monk is the clean image of the world in the filthy earth, which can enable everyone to learn from their knowledge and experience, and achieve physical and mental purity.Propose a way for people to stay away from evil and get rid of suffering. (4) Bhikkhu Ksitigarbha and his affairs Dizang (630-729 A.D.) was born in the royal family of Silla. His common surname was Jin and his name was Qiao Jue.Born with a strange appearance, the parietal bone protrudes extremely high.Arm strength is very strong, it can fight against ten people. He was charitable for the hearts of the people, and his understanding was abnormal. He tried to say to himself: "Six books in the world, in the Sanqing art, there is only the first righteousness, which is in line with the square inch." At the age of fourteen, he became a monk and became a monk. The Chinese Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty was in full bloom, attracting some monks from Japan, Silla, Koryo, Baekje and other countries to come to China to seek the Dharma. After Ksitigarbha became a monk, he brought his white dog, Shanting, to China. To Jiuhua Mountain, Qingyang County, Chizhou Prefecture, Anhui Province.Seeing that the peaks are shaped like lotus flowers, the peaks and ridges are towering and beautiful, and the mountains and rivers are strange, they climbed up to see the scenery, and sighed that it was rare.So in the depths of this mountain, where there is no one, he chose a basin and lived in a cave.Thirsty to drink stream water, hunger to eat white soil (this soil is white and delicate, commonly known as Guanyin soil). He is often stung by poisonous insects, but he also sits upright without thinking, and puts it calmly.Ksitigarbha was willing to write the four major scriptures, so he went down the mountain to Nanling, where Yu Dang and others wrote and dedicated them, and they were able to return to the mountain. At the beginning of the year of Zhide.Zhuge Jie, a local gentleman, led the villagers to climb the mountain, and saw a monk sitting in a cave in the middle of nowhere. There is a broken pot next to the cave, there are residual grains and white clay, and the life is extremely poor, which is very surprising.Knowing that this is the prince of Silla, he came to seek the Dharma from afar.Zhuge Jie and others were deeply ashamed of the unfulfilled friendship of the landlord, so they proposed to build a Zen house for Ksitigarbha monks. At that time, Jiuhua Mountain was owned by Min Ranghe, and he was required to donate the mountain to build a temple.Min Gong firmly believed in Buddhism, always cherished compassion, and was willing to give. For each hundred monks, there must be one emptiness, and the cave monks and monks of Ksitigarbha are invited to meet the number.Hearing that Zhuge Jie and others were going to build a temple here, they were naturally very happy and willing to donate the mountain land.Min Gong said to Dizang: "I own all the land at the top of Jiuzi Mountain, and I can do whatever I want." Dizang replied, "One cassock is enough." Min Gong agreed.Ksitigarbha then stretched out his cassock, covering the peaks of Jiuzi Mountain.Min Gong was very happy to see this, and gave all the shaded land to Ksitigarbha to build the Daochang. He also sent his son to become a monk, named Daoming.Later, Duke Min also gave up the vulgarity and turned away from the world, and honored his son Daoming as his teacher. The statues of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva seen today are Daoming on the left and Gong Min on the right. After the temple was built, scholars from all walks of life gathered on this mountain, especially monks from Silla Kingdom, who came here more and more every day.Because monks from home and abroad gather here, life is difficult.Dizang digs rocks in the mountains to get the soil, which is bluish white and as fine as flour, and is eaten by the public. The monks in the monastery came here to seek the Dharma. Although some of them were so hungry that their bones were linked to each other, they were called "the crowd of dry manuscripts." But under the leadership of Ksitigarbha, they were united, diligent, dedicated to the Tao, and took pleasure in suffering.Later, the king of Silla learned that Ji Zang opened a Taoist temple in Mount Jiuhua, so he sent people to transport food and make offerings.Ksitigarbha became enlightened on the night of July 30th in the sixteenth year of Kaiyuan (729 AD) at the age of ninety-nine.Immediately call the public to say goodbye, but don't know where you are going. But when he heard the sound of the stone falling from the mountain, he clapped the bell hoarsely, and died in the lotus position. His corpse is sitting in the letter, and it will enter the pagoda three years ago, with a lifelike appearance.Lifting it will move the joints, like shaking a golden lock.Nai set up a small floating map in Nantai, which is the place where Dizang sat at a banquet during his lifetime. This is the reason for the construction of the temple in Mount Jiuhua.Yusi Jiuhua Mountain is as famous as Putuo Mountain, Wutai Mountain and Emei Mountain, and is also known as the four famous mountains of Chinese Buddhism. It is a holy place for Buddhists all over the country to worship.Ksitigarbha Bhikkhu is considered to be the incarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. On July 30 every year, Jiuhua Mountain is full of incense and is deeply believed by the people. (5) The Great Vow to Liberate The four well-known Bodhisattvas in China all add a praise to their names, such as Manjusri Bodhisattva of Great Wisdom, Bodhisattva of Universal Worthy Practices, Avalokitesvara of Great Compassion, and Bodhisattva of Great Wishes. It can be seen that Bodhisattva's vows are particularly profound .The wish is the eighth wish of Paramita in ten degrees. "Yogi's Land Theory" said: "From this wish, the affliction is meager, and you can cultivate diligently. Therefore, I say that I wish Paramita and diligent Paramita, and I will be your companions." The will of will.Master Shixian said: "I often hear that the key to entering the Tao is to make aspirations first; to practice urgently, making vows is the first priority. If you make a wish, all living beings can be saved, and if you make a heart, you will be able to achieve the Buddha's way. Even after the eons of dust, you are still in the cycle of reincarnation. Even if you practice, it will always be in vain." There are general vows and farewell vows, and the four vows are the general vows. No matter what vows are made, they cannot be separated from the four vows. The twelve great vows of Medicine Buddha, the six and twelve vows of Avalokitesvara, the ten great vows of Samantabhadra, the forty-eight vows of Amitabha, the five hundred vows of Sakyamuni, and the great vows of Ksitigarbha Great wish, also known as the original wish. The original is the root, that is, the wish that was established when the heart was first made, and even becoming a Buddha, is no different from the original, so it is called the original vow. What is Ksitigarbha's original wish?In the past, the brahman girl made a great vow in front of Jue Hua Ding Zi Zai Wang Buddha: "May I complete the future kalpas, so that all sinful and suffering beings will be freed." The light-eyed girl made a vow in front of the pure lotus flower eye Buddha: "If my mother is forever free from the three poisons and the lowly and even woman's body, she will never suffer. May I be in front of the statue of the pure lotus flower eye Tathagata from now on, but in the next hundred thousand thousand million kalpas, there should be all the hells in the world. , and the three evil ways and all sinful and suffering sentient beings, vowing to rescue all living beings. Let them leave the hells and evil realms, animals, hungry ghosts, etc. People who have been rewarded for their sins, such as those who have been rewarded for their sins, will become Buddhas after all, and then I will become enlightened. "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva , can be summed up as "All sentient beings have been saved, only then can Bodhi be realized, hell is not empty, and one cannot become a Buddha." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has a great vow to save sentient beings, and the speed (effort) is astonishing. For example, the "Da Fang Guang Ten Wheel Sutra" says: Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva achieves all living beings with inconceivable merits and virtues. In the past, in the sands of the immeasurable Ganges River, where the Buddhas have long made great compassionate and firm vows, they have all fulfilled all sentient beings, and their majestic power is like a thunderstorm. If you can achieve immeasurable billions in one meal, Nayuta has the roots of goodness. The "Ten Wheels of Earth Store" also said: "This good man has achieved immeasurable, countless, inconceivable and superior merits. He is always diligent and diligent, and benefits all living beings. For all sentient beings, make the endless vow of great compassion, firmness, courage, diligence, and endless vow. Due to the endless vow of great compassion, perseverance, courage, and diligence, the power will increase. In one day and night, or in one hectare, all sentient beings can be liberated. All kinds of sorrows. And satisfy all the desires for the Dharma." Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s great vow is to make all sentient beings become Buddhas, and then he himself becomes a Buddha. However, there are endless sentient beings, and hell is hard to escape. In this way, he becomes a Great Compassion Bodhisattva who cannot achieve Buddhahood.Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva made great vows, provided convenient facilities, and would rather not become a Buddha himself, but concentrate on saving all sentient beings and the great spirit of liberation. It can be said that he truly puts others before himself, and is worthy of our respect and learning! (6) The merits of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Because of the great compassion of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, his merits and virtues are inconceivable. Volume 1 of the "Ten Wheels Sutra" says: "All the great Bodhisattvas sincerely take refuge in thousands of kalpas, call their names and recite them, worship and make offerings to ask for their wishes. It is not as good as someone who sincerely takes refuge in one meal, calls their names and recites them, Worship and make offerings to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, ask for all your wishes, and all of them will be fulfilled... like wish-fulfilling treasures, like treasures."It is also said in the scriptures: If you sincerely take refuge in Manjushri, Maitreya and other great Bodhisattvas, call their names, worship and make offerings, and seek your wishes, such as seeking health, wealth, and ending troubles. In one hundred kalpas, it is better for someone to sincerely take refuge in Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva during a meal, to recite the name of Bodhisattva, and to pay homage to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva devoutly. wish to be fulfilled.Sakyamuni Buddha also praised the merits of the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva and said: "If you hear the name of the Bodhisattva, you may praise it, or worship it, or call it a name or make offerings, or even paint, carve, and lacquer the image. For thirteen days, you will never fall into the evil way" (see "Primary Vows").Surpassing thirty kalpas of crimes, born without falling into evil ways, not subject to female body, honored and dignified, protected by ghosts and gods.If a person "hears the name of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva at the end of his life and touches his ears, all living beings will never experience suffering in the three evil realms" (see "The Sutra of Fundamental Vows"). Why does Earth Store Bodhisattva have inconceivable merit? "Zhancha Sutra" said: "Since the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva made his mind, he has gone through immeasurable, boundless, inconceivable and inconceivable asamkhya kalpas. He has been able to pass through the sea of saviors for a long time, and his merits and virtues have been satisfied. But according to the power of the original vow, the power and skill will appear in the ten directions. "Sabura, that is, all wisdom, the wisdom of the Buddha.Sapo is like the sea, which describes the great enlightenment and great wisdom of the Buddha, which is as deep and wide as the ocean. It is said that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva practiced in immeasurable and boundless kalpas. He has already reached the sea of wisdom of the Buddha. With perfect merit and virtue, he should have become a Buddha long ago.But the Bodhisattva made a vow to save all sentient beings, so he concealed his true merit. With the power of the original vow, free and supernatural powers, he will show his own teachings everywhere and save all living beings. The "Langa Sutra" also said: "There is a Bodhisattva of great compassion who will never become a Buddha." It means that the Bodhisattva uses the power of great compassion to make a vow to save all sentient beings. In the worlds of the ten directions, save sentient beings. (7) Realm of Reality In the "Zhancha Sutra", the Bodhisattva of firm and pure faith asked Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, what kind of instructions would he give to those who seek the Mahayana?Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva replied: You should rely on a real realm to practice faith and understanding.Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's enlightenment on the Realm of One Reality. There are three aspects: (1) There is no difference between living and Buddhas, and the same truth. The mind and body of all living beings have never been born or died since the beginning. The self-nature is pure, unobstructed and unobstructed, just like empty space.Because of separation and separation, equality is universal and omnipresent. The ten directions are perfect, and there is no difference, no difference, no change, no increase or decrease. With the minds of all sentient beings and the minds of all Buddhas, they are all one and true.It can be clearly seen here that the one-real state of Bodhisattva Earth Store is exactly what Maming Bodhisattva said in "Mahayana Awakening of Faith". (2) The delusional mind has no body, and the delusional environment is not real.Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva sees nothing in the world at all, but because all living beings are ignorant and ignorant, they learn from causes and conditions, and present delusional realms, making them think. The so-called self-knowledge of this mind, false self-proclaimed existence, arouses awareness and perception, and considers what I want. But there is really no sign of awareness, so with this delusional mind, there is no body after all.If there is no perception that can distinguish, there will be no ten directions and three worlds, all realms, and different appearances. All dharmas are not self-existing, but they exist according to the delusional mind. (3) Moods and moods depend on each other, seeming to exist. All dharmas are born from delusion, based on delusion. However, this delusional mind and all delusional states are dependent on each other. The so-called mind arises, all kinds of dharmas arise, and dharmas arise, all kinds of minds arise. All dharmas originate from the mind, correspond to the mind, exist in harmony, co-exist and co-exist, and live in the same non-existence.All realms follow one's mind, and thoughts are continuous, arising and passing away non-stop.All dharmas, this interdependent phenomenon of birth and death, have a name, but they are really unobtainable.Like an image in a mirror, it has neither going nor coming, its nature is empty and still. (8) One mind and two phases Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva regards the realm of one reality as his body, and believes that the heart has two phases. One is the internal phase of the mind: there is a distinction between true mind and false mind.Sincerity: It is the same as it is, pure and perfect, unobstructed and unobstructed, subtle and difficult to see, pervasive everywhere, permanent and indestructible, and is the basis for the establishment and growth of all dharmas. This is sincere.Zhanran perfect, without distinction, also known as the pure heart of self-nature.Possessing immeasurable, boundless, inconceivable, non-leaking merits and virtues, and pure karma, it is also known as Tathagata Tibet.Pervading everywhere, perfect and immobile, it is also called the Dharma Body of the Buddhas.Delusion: thinking and distinguishing, knowing and thinking, remembering and thinking, etc., are the cause.Although it is repeated and continuous, it can produce all kinds of states, but it is false inside, and there is no truth. The external appearance of the two minds: all kinds of realms as seen in dreams are the result and the cause. All based on ignorance. The mind is all ignorant and dark, and because of the influence of karma, the delusional state appears; because of the power of the delusional state, the mind of delusion arises, calculates what I and I do, creates and gathers all kinds of karma, suffers from life and death, and is called a sentient being. (9) Learning the Two Ways of Contemplation The first practice is mind-only conception: At any time, everywhere, with your mouth and mind, and all your operations should be observed carefully, knowing that only your mind, and even all realms, follow your mind and think about it.Let the heart know your own heart, think freely, not all realms, there are differences between thoughts. If you make it centrifugal, there will be no one method and one phase, but you will see that there is a difference. You should always keep your mind in this way, knowing that there are only false thoughts and no real realm, which is called learning only the concept of mind and consciousness. There are three steps in the practice of mind-only conception: (1) Cultivate the samadhi of form and tranquility: keep in mind the mind, then you will know the thoughts of greed, anger, ignorance, and wrong views.Know the good, know the bad, know nothing.Knowing all kinds of hardships. If you are sitting, follow your mind, and observe and know when you think about it.Only mind arises and perishes. For example, the flow of water and the flames of the sun have no temporary residence, and from this one should obtain the samadhi of form and tranquility. (2) Practicing the Samadhi Contemplation: After attaining the samadhi of color and ignorance, one should practice the Samadhi Contemplation further, thinking about the inner mind, invisible appearance, perfect and immovable, no going and no coming. The original nature is neither born nor destroyed, because of separation and separation. (3) Practicing Vipassana Contemplation: I want to see the inner and outer forms, which arise and die according to the mind.Even seeing the Buddha's physical body, it also arises and perishes according to the mind. It's like an illusion, like the moon in the water, like an image in a mirror.Neither mind nor renunciation, neither coming nor not coming, neither going nor not going, neither birth nor non-existence, neither doing nor not doing.Get rid of all attachments, go to see everything. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva believes that the ability to practice mind-only consciousness in this way is called the door of the highest wisdom. It can make their mind sharp, long-term trust and understanding, rapid entry into emptiness, and arouse the supreme bodhicitta. Second, the practice of observing the truth as it really is: Those who practice this view should know the nature of the mind, which is neither born nor destroyed, unceasingly aware of what they see and hear, and never leave all delusions of separation.Gradually, you can pass through the empty place, the place of consciousness, the place of nothingness, the place of neither thinking nor not thinking, etc., and get similar to the empty samadhi. When you get this samadhi, you can get into the samadhi of samadhi by tossing and turning about feeling, thinking, action, and consciousness, roughly distinguishing appearances, not present in front of you. In the above two kinds of Taoist practice, those with strong faculties know all the realms, and they are done only in their minds. They are false and unreal, just like dreams. The yin cover is slight, and the distracted mind is less, so it should be cultivated and viewed as it really is.The dull root does not know all realms, it is all idealism, deeply affected by affection, there are many obstacles, and the heart is difficult to tame, so it should be ordered to practice mind-only consciousness first. As for those who have meager roots of goodness, all evil afflictions cannot be subdued.Fear of falling into the evil way, fear of not being a permanent Buddha and Bodhisattva, and not being able to hear the Dharma. You can always recite the name of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva diligently at all times and in all places. If one mind is obtained, the roots of goodness will grow, and the will will be sharp, one should contemplate that the bodhisattva's dharma body and the dharma bodies of all Buddhas are equal to one's own body, and there is no difference between them. This person sacrifices his body, does not fall into the evil way, and hears the true Dharma in the place of eight difficulties, practices the faith and practices, and can also be reborn in other places as he wishes, in the pure Buddha land. (10) Karma Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva emphasizes the theory of karma and the difference in karma in the "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Fundamental Vows Sutra" based on the fact that living beings in the dirty land have deep bad habits and create a lot of bad karma.Twenty-three types of karma are listed, explaining the principle that if the cause is the same, the effect will be the same.On the issue of cause, effect and effect, it is so specific and rational that it is rare in other scriptures. The intention of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is to clarify the relationship between cause and effect, so that people can be responsible for their own thoughts, words and deeds, from creating less evil karma to not creating evil karma. This has positive significance for individuals and society. If you want to know the specific content of the twenty-three types of karma, please refer to the Sutra of the Bodhisattva's Fundamental Vows, and the third item of the audience's karma. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva talks about karma, and there is little mystery. It just explains the nature of things and the inevitable consequences caused by them. The content of these twenty-three articles includes many moral categories of individuals, families, and society. If we can ponder carefully and seek seriously, we will be able to learn a lot from it.Therefore, the truth of karma in Buddhism is beneficial to the hearts and minds of the society. This is the principle of "don't do all evil, do all good, and purify your mind. This is the principle of all Buddhism." I hope that believers will always recite and respect "Namo Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva" and "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra".This is how we can be a truly devout Buddhist believer. It is a very beneficial event to repay the four favors.
