Dharma Overview 明旸法师 9425Words 2018-03-20
The teachings taught by Shakyamuni Buddha in his life are generally speaking about the Four Noble Truths, Twelve Causes, Six Paradigms, Four Perceptions, Three Hearts, Four wishes for various methods. Now introduce as follows: Section 1 The Dharma Door of the Four Noble Truths (1) The concept of arhat Arhat has three meanings The first to kill the thief: It means to kill the thief of troubles.Arhats practice cessation of feelings and thoughts in the causal ground, and cut off eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, and consciousness, that is, the troubles of feeling and thinking in the five yin, that is, the troubles of seeing and thinking. Get clean, get my true wisdom of emptiness, prove to be an arhat, and get rid of life and death.Although the son of Arhat has broken the afflictions, he still has the fruit to bind the body. He knows that there is no self-image among the five yin, but he still does not know the law of the five yin. So it is said that you only know that you are empty, and you do not know that the law is empty. Therefore, arhat is also called a sound-hearer of the foolish dharma. After attaining nirvana with more than reliance, one has to work hard and work hard to lose one's body and mind, and to be involved in vulgar life, and to be able to be called a great arhat. Nirvana. This is the reason for killing thieves.

The second lifeless: Arhats cut off the troubles of seeing, thinking, and jumping out of the troubles of life and death in the three realms, and have to go through the three stages of Su Tuo Huan, Si Tuo Han, and Ana Han. The sages of the first fruits of Xutuohuan will go to heaven, and each of them will return to life seven times in the human world. In addition to cutting off the eighty-eight envoys' seeing and confusing, they also cut off the first six grades of the nine grades of thinking and confusing.Si Tuohan, a saint with two fruits, lived in heaven, came to the world once, and entered the last three stages of thinking and confusion in the realm of severing desires.Although the sages of Anahan and Three Fruits do not come to the Desire Realm to be reborn, they still live in the Form Realm and enter the seventy-two levels of contemplation, so it is said that only the Arhat Fruit is truly lifeless. This is the principle of lifelessness.

The third offering: it should be offered by the heavens and the world, because an arhat, since he has attained the path and fruition, is worthy of the admiration of humans and heavens, making offerings and worshiping, and creating a great field of blessing for all living beings. If there are believers in our temple who are worshiping thousands of monks, there will be an incarnation of the Venerable Bintou Lupo Luoduo to answer the offerings of the vegetarians, so that the donors who donate will receive a great field of blessings. There are four verses of blessing in Buddhism: "The so-called givers will surely get their benefits. If you give for joy, you will be happy in the end." When Shakyamuni Buddha was alive, there was a disciple named A Shaotu Lou Tuo, In Chinese, we call it the Venerable Wupo, who is a farmer when he is practicing on the ground. One day at noon, he was farming in the field, and he brought a bag of coarse rice for lunch. It just so happened that a Pacceek Buddha with supernatural powers in games appeared by chance, and then came to the world to manifest as a poor monk.He abides by the Buddha's begging system, and goes down the mountain once every seven days to beg for food from the donors. On this day, the flowers came and went, and even the seven families of Hua didn't get there, so they came back empty-bowled.Passing by the field, the farmer saw the old monk and asked, "Teacher, how is your fate today? Has the food melted?" The old monk sighed and said, "Never mind, nothing has been melted." Listen, and immediately feel sympathy and compassion.I thought that my teacher and father didn't get any food today, and they would starve for seven days when they go back, and then go down the mountain to melt. Therefore, I put up a big heart and sincerely held the meals I brought with both hands to offer to the teacher and father. He accepted the meal with compassion. After eating, he followed the teachings of the Buddha and recited the blessing verse: "The so-called charity will benefit from it. If you donate for joy, you will be happy in the end." The old monk finished his blessing and went back.Besides, the old farmer was hungry, and when work was over in the afternoon, a golden rabbit suddenly jumped out from the opposite side, jumping onto the farmer's back and refusing to get off.The farmer was taken aback, hurried home and told his wife to take the rabbit off her back.A closer look turned out to be a golden rabbit!Since then, the farmer's family life has been happy day by day. This is the bouquet obtained by making offerings to a Pratyekabuddha in this world. After reincarnation, he will be a Venerable named Wupo.During such a long period of ninety-one kalpas, he was not subject to the retribution of poverty and enjoyed prosperity and wealth. This incident illustrates the excellent results obtained by making offerings to a pratyekabuddha. What has been said above means that an arhat possesses the three principles of killing thieves, not being born, and being worthy of offerings, and it is also the most contained and untranslated among the five kinds of non-translation.

What is five not turned over? When Indian Buddhist classics are translated to my country, there are five kinds of content that cannot be translated. The first respect is not overturned. For example, if the word "Prajna" is translated as wisdom, it is not respectful enough. Therefore, the word "Prajna" is still reserved in the scriptures. If it must be translated, it is only a reluctant translation. The second is to follow the ancient times. For example, if Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi is to be translated into Supreme Righteous Enlightenment, which is the full name of the Buddha, but the masters who translated scriptures in ancient times kept it from translating it, expressing their respect for the Buddha, so they did not translate it.The third is too much to contain. For example Arhat.Because its meaning contains three principles, it cannot be translated. For example, the word "bhikkhu" is too connotative and cannot be translated. The fourth secret is not to be revealed. For example, the Dharanis in the scriptures are the secret words of the Buddha, subtle, hidden, and inconceivable, so they are not translated in a meaningful way.Fifth, everything in this side is overturned. For example, umara fruit, etc., because this fruit is unique to India, and we don’t have it in China, so we don’t look for it.

(2) The Four Noble Truths Arhats and Hinayana sages practice the Four Noble Truths. The Four Noble Truths are the four causes of suffering and the extinction of the Dao, and they are true and true truths. It is also what Shakyamuni Buddha said to the Hinayana sage Arhat. After the Buddha became enlightened, after three to seven twenty-one days of thinking and research, and observing the opportunity to teach, he went to Deer Garden to teach the Four Noble Truths to five monks. This is the three turns of the Four Noble Truths and Twelve Actions Dharma Wheel. What is three turns? The first phase turn: The Buddha showed the true appearance of the Four Noble Truths to the people of the Second Vehicle. The Buddha said that this is suffering and persecution. This is collection and sensibility. This is extinction, verifiability. This is the Tao, cultivability.

The second advice to practice: The Buddha said that this is suffering, you should leave it.This is the set, you should break it.This is extinction, you are the witness. This is the way, you should practice it. The third testimonial turn: The Buddha said that this is suffering, and I have left. This is the set, I have broken. This is extinction, I have proved it.This is the way, I have cultivated. Each truth has three turns, three turns, three forty-two turns, three turns, three turns, four truths, and twelve actions Dharma wheel. After hearing this, the arhat made up his mind to practice, to know the truth of suffering, to know the truth of life and death, to cut off the truth of affliction, to obliterate the truth of nirvana, and to practice the truth of the Tao.To make them realize that suffering is the bitter fruit of life and death in the Three Realms of being divided into stages; gathering is the cause of suffering for seeing, thinking, and confusion in the Three Realms; extinction is the happy fruit of Nirvana outside the Three Realms; Le Yin.This is the double cause and effect within the Three Realms and outside the Three Realms, which is called phase-revelation.After the Buddha pointed out to the Hinayana people the appearance of the Four Noble Truths of the Path of Suffering and Extinction, he actively advised them to practice diligently after knowing it. To attain Nirvana, which is neither birth nor death. It is called exhortation to repair and transfer.Because of Hinayana people, although they are willing to practice Taoism or fear of doubting halfway, can they obtain Taoism through such practice? So the Buddha used his own experience to testify: "I have fully realized the four truths of suffering, extinction, and extinction. I have achieved Bodhi through this kind of practice." It is called testimony. change.

The specific content of the Four Noble Truths: First, the Truth of Suffering: It is the bitter fruit in the Three Realms, including the three sufferings, the eight sufferings, and the immeasurable sufferings. Three sufferings, one, bitterness. All living beings are subject to the four physical bodies of the elements of earth, water, wind, and fire. The physical body of a person is the root of all suffering, and all kinds of distressing environments will persecute this body, and this body will suffer. The ancients said: "The body is the root of all suffering." He also said, "I have great troubles, but I have a body. If I don't have a body, what trouble will I have?" Zen Master Shizifeng said: "Only this body, only the belief that the body is suffering Originally, even if you are greedy for worldly happiness, you should know that happiness is the cause of suffering." This is called suffering.

Second, bad suffering. All the environments we are currently experiencing, whether it is suffering or happiness, are impermanent in birth and death, false and unreal, just like the realm in a dream or the flowers in the sky, illusion is not real.Even though there are so-called "happiness" in some circumstances, the happiness does not last long.It should be known that the world has success, dwelling, decay, and emptiness; all things have birth, dwelling, change, and death; all living beings have birth, aging, sickness, and death; This is called bad suffering. 3. Suffering in practice, that is, the seventh consciousness moves to the shadows, moment to moment, and thoughts arise and disappear, all the time. For example, when Confucius looked at the flowing water, he sighed and said: "The passing away is like this, and he never gives up day and night." The six desires, the heaven and the human, also have the three sufferings.Although the celestial beings of the Four Dhyana Heavens of the Form Realm are pure from desire and free from suffering, they still have the suffering of destruction and suffering.Although the celestial beings in the four-empty sky in the formless realm practice four-empty samadhi, they still cannot avoid the pain of yin and flow, and the birth and death of thoughts. In short, the heavens of the Three Realms are the heavenly beings at the highest level called the Heaven of Non-Thinking and Non-Thinking, and their lifespan is as long as 80,000 kalpas. But they are the same as all heavenly beings. Once they have exhausted their heavenly blessings, they will fall down and receive rewards according to their karma. It is said in the scriptures: "80,000 kalpas will end in emptiness, and the three thousand worlds will never be destroyed." It also said: "Giving and upholding the precepts will give birth to heavenly blessings, just like shooting an arrow up into the sky. Unhappy."

Once upon a time there was an emperor who was proficient in the principles of Buddhism.Once an imperial decree was issued to summon great virtuous and eminent monks from famous mountains and ancient temples all over the country to come to court. Many great monks came to see the emperor in full dress, and at the same time, His Majesty ordered the guards to say: When all the eminent monks arrive, they should come in from under the bushes of swords, and muster their might. At this time, many great monks heard this suddenly, they were startled, they were very frightened, and they knelt down one after another. There was only one old monk in patchwork clothes left, but he came in from among the knives to have an audience. The emperor asked: Monk, aren't you afraid of death?Answer: "I don't know how many births and deaths I have endured since immeasurable kalpas. Do I still fear death today?" The emperor said happily after hearing this, "You know that you have practiced yin!" This is the suffering of yin and flow what!

What are the eight sufferings? One, suffering. When a person is born, he cries and suffers.Because of the pain of being scraped by the wind knife, there are many more pains. Only the baby knows that he is dumb and eats coptis, and he can't speak. Two, old suffering.People live in the world from young to long, from old to old, this is the law of development. In the past, a Zen master said it well: "Gradually the skin becomes white and the hair grows white. If you walk like a dragon, if you are full of gold and jade, you will inevitably get old, sick and disabled." It is true that there is a lot of suffering.Elderly people have a profound experience.Three, suffering from illness. In this world, the four elements are out of balance, and there are many diseases. Not only minor illnesses are suffering, but serious illnesses are even more bitter. Being sick for a long time is really the bitterness of suffering. It is hard to live or die. It is really hard!Medical workers will have a deeper understanding.Fourth, the suffering of death.Life is alive, life is bound to die, no one is born without death, this is a natural law, an objective fact that has not changed through the ages.No matter how happy you are, impermanence will eventually come. The so-called floating life is easy to pass, is it a long-term residence; the illusion is not solid, and will eventually disappear. When a person dies, the four elements are scattered, and a hundred sufferings are upon him. Once impermanence arrives, everything will cease, and the suffering is unspeakable.Shakyamuni Buddha once asked several disciples: "How much is human life?" Some replied: "Human life is short-lived." The Buddha said: "No." He asked another disciple and replied: "Human life is in the diet Time", the Buddha said: "It's not right." Let's think about how long a human life is!The Buddha finally asked a disciple, and the man said: "Human life is in the breath." The Buddha said: "That's right."It is said in the Buddhist scriptures: The day has passed, and the life will also decrease. It is like a fish in less water. What joy is there? Everyone, you should be diligent and diligent, just like saving your head, but think about impermanence, be careful not to let go.The Buddha is to solve the distress of birth, old age, sickness and death of himself and all sentient beings, and resolutely become a monk to practice.5. Love and parting are bitter. We human beings have affection for our relatives, parents, husband and wife, brothers, sisters, etc.Once life and death are parted, it is really extremely painful, the so-called helpless, impossible to replace, tears like rain, heart like a knife, sad and painful, very painful. The ancients said, "Husbands and wives are destined, whether good or bad, and they meet by fate. Children are debts, or ask for debts, or repay debts, and never come without debts." I hope everyone understands this truth clearly, and they will naturally feel at ease. Get rid of troubles and sufferings, and get pure happiness.Sixth, resentment and hatred will be bitter.Whenever we see people with grievances and hatred, our hearts are very painful.Especially among family members who are enemies, or who hate and discord, who cannot be separated or separated, living together is shocking and painful. There are many such cases in ancient and modern China and abroad.7. Not getting what you want is suffering. In this world, people have desires for sight, sound, smell, taste, and the five objects of desire, or the five desires for wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep. For example, if people seek fame and fame, they end up losing their names, seek prosperity, but kill their children and grandchildren, seek wealth and become rich, and end up in poverty and hardship, seek longevity and health, but end up with a short life.Eight, five yin blazing bitter. This is the fire of the afflictions of form, feeling, thought, formation, and consciousness, which burns in our hearts. We often feel stagnant, anxious, and depressed in our hearts, with unspeakable and indescribable pain. The eight kinds of suffering mentioned above are the unavoidable afflictions that everyone experiences personally. All living beings in the Three Realms, especially those in the human realm, all follow their karma and thus experience the bitter fruit, not only the three sufferings and the eight sufferings. In fact, there are many big and small boundless afflictions. The so-called "Thousands of people suffer in a thousand ways, and everyone is different." Everyone suffers, everyone deserves it, everyone lives and dies, everyone suffers from karma, everyone eats and everyone is full. As a result of delusion and karma, people need to know the source of suffering and understand the truth of origin.

Second, the truth of collection: it is the cause of suffering in the three realms, and collection means gathering. The eighty-eight causes of seeing and bewilderment, and the eighty-one troubles of thinking and confusion are all gathered together to form the cause of karma. Feel the truth of suffering, the three sufferings, the eight sufferings, the bitter fruits of countless sufferings.Perception and confusion are karmic causes arising from perception.Seeing confusion is based on the five advantages of self-view, side view, wrong view, view-based view, and prohibition-based view. What is Wulishi?1. Body view: Because all living beings have a body, there will be self-view, and then there will be four afflictions of self-ignorance, self-view, self-arrogance, and self-loving. These are called body-views.2. Peripheral view: There is an ego, so there are two kinds of peripheral view or ordinary view. The judgment holds that after our death, our soul returns to the ground, and there is nothing left, once destroyed and forever destroyed. It is common to think that after a person dies, he will be a human being in this life, and he will also be a human being in the next life.Regardless of the severe view, whether it is common, it will cause all living beings to do all kinds of bad karma, so it is called side view.3. Evil views: Refers to opposing cause and effect, not believing in the Three Jewels of Buddhism, Dharma, and Sangha.Fourth, see and see: refers to non-fruits.All kinds of useless austerities practiced by heretics, holding on to self-views, side views, and wrong views, have not proved the holy fruit, and have been proved by delusional attachment.5. Refraining from taking views: Refers to non-calculation reasons.Heretics practice all kinds of austerities, such as the abstinence from cattle, dogs, eating grass, throwing ashes, etc.If you practice this cause of suffering wrongly and persistently, you can get the most wonderful fruit of Nirvana. The function of the five benefits is that it has great power to induce temptation, and the speed of creating karma and receiving rewards is fast. There are eighty-eight envoys of seeing and bewilderment, which are distributed according to the four truths of the three realms, the realm of desire, the realm of form, and the realm of formlessness. Each realm has its own four truths of suffering, origin, extinction, and the way. How much different.Realm of Desire: The Truth of Suffering has ten envoys, the Truth of Concentration has seven envoys, the Truth of Extinction has seven envoys, and the Truth of Dao has eight envoys, a total of thirty-two envoys.Form Realm: There are nine envoys for the truth of suffering, six envoys for the truth of collection, six envoys for the truth of extinction, and seven envoys for the truth of the Tao, a total of twenty-eight envoys. The Formless Realm: The Truth of Suffering has nine envoys, the Truth of Concentration has six envoys, the Truth of Extinction has six envoys, and the Truth of Dao has seven envoys, a total of twenty-eight envoys. Therefore, the Three Realms and the Four Noble Truths together have a total of eighty-eight causes of perplexity and affliction. The ancients wrote a gatha to the eighty-eight envoys: "Suffering is everything, and each of them is eliminated by the three, and the Tao is eliminated by the two truths, and the upper two cannot be angry."Confusion is the karmic cause arising from the aspect of thinking, with greed, hatred, ignorance, arrogance, and doubt as the main body. The five blunt causes: 1. Greed, which refers to the delusional mind of all beings who are attached to the five desirable environments of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, or the five desirable environments of wealth, color, name, food, and sleep.2. Hatred, hatred, resentment and annoyance towards the desire state that violates what I love.Three, infatuation, is obsessed with ignorance, ignorance, ignorance, ignorance of things, ignorance of right and wrong, confusion, confusion, and doing all kinds of evil karma.4. Arrogance refers to being arrogant, arrogant, arrogant, self-righteous, and contemptuous of others.5. Suspicion, distrust of everyone and everything, and mistrust.Doubt and worry about all things, generate troubles, right and wrong arise, and do all kinds of evil karma. The function of the five blunt messengers is weak in causing confusion, and slow in creating karma and receiving rewards. Sihuo has a total of eighty-one grades, which are distributed according to the three realms and nine lands, and the mixed-dwelling land of the five interests in the desire realm has nine grades. The four dhyana heavens of the form world: 1. The land of joy from birth.Second, live happily ever after.Three, away from joy and bliss.Fourth, give up the pure mind, each place has nine grades, forty-nine are combined into thirty-six grades. The four empty heavens of the colorless realm: 1. The sky with boundless emptiness.Second, know the boundless sky.Three, there is nothing in the sky.Fourth, neither thinking nor not thinking is in the sky. Each day has nine grades, forty-nine into thirty-six grades. In this way, the three realms and nine lands are combined into ninety-nine and eighty-one grades of thoughts, confusions and afflictions.Create karma based on delusion, and receive retribution according to karma. This is the law of cause and effect in Buddhism, which is called the truth of settling. Third, the truth of extinction: it is the fruit of birth.Annihilation is nirvana, which is the nirvana of arhat. They practiced the thirty-seven assistants in the ground of causation, cut off the confusion of seeing, thinking, and troubles, and eliminated the suffering of life and death in stages, so they realized the happy fruit of Nirvana with lingering and lingering without lingering, which is called extinction. meaning. The truth of extinction refers to the elimination of afflictions and the burden of life and death, that is, nirvana with surplus and nirvana without remainder. If you get rid of greed, hatred and other afflictions and good and evil karma, you can no longer suffer from life and death in the three realms, but you still have the remaining physical body, which is called nirvana. Abandoned, it is called Nirvana without Survival. Fourth, the truth of the Tao: it is the cause of birth, and the Tao is the quality of the Tao, which is the thirty-seven assistants of the Tao.The four foundations of mindfulness, the four right efforts, the four feet of wishful thinking, the five faculties and five powers, the seven elements of Bodhi, and the eightfold path. The thirty-seven supporting Taoism is a joint practice of Mahayana and Hinayana. Not only the Hinayana arhats can practice according to this, but also Mahayana Bodhisattvas can practice according to this Tao.But the revisions are different, the theories are different, and the viewpoints are different.Taking the Four Noble Truths as an example, there are the Four Noble Truths of birth and death, the Four Noble Truths of non-birth, the Four Noble Truths of non-action, and the Four Noble Truths of infinity. "Theory of Wisdom" says: "Thirty-seven grades, all-encompassing, that is, the immeasurable Taoism, is also among them." ". Now we will give a brief introduction to the thirty-seven assistants. 1. The four places of mindfulness, mindfulness is the wisdom we can observe, and the places are the realms we observe.Viewing the environment with wisdom is called mindfulness.1. Contemplating the impurity of the body. When we set our minds to practice, we must first use wisdom to contemplate the body composed of the four elements. It is originally an impure body. From the perspective of the past, the seed is not clean, it is the combination of the blood and blood of the parents to form the body.Observe from now on.Our body has seven orifices and nine holes that constantly flow impure things.Such as phlegm, tears, semen, defecation and other kinds of uncleanness, it is really a stinky sac covered with pus and blood.Zen Master Shizifeng said: "Sigh, this body is useless, but he has deceived everyone. The tendons are wrapped in seven feet of bones, and the skin is wrapped in a bag of pus and blood." This French is really very thorough. After death, there will be future impurities. There are nine perceptions: first, swelling, second, bruising, third, bad thinking, fourth, blood smear, fifth, pus and rot, sixth, eating thinking, seven loose thinking, eight bone thinking, and nine burning thinking. If you are greedy for sentient beings, you must practice the concept of impurity. This is the method of prescribing the right medicine for the disease. When the medicine cures the disease, one can escape from the sea of life and death.2. Contemplation of suffering is suffering, and receiving is receiving. Our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind can receive the six dusts of form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharma. This is called receiving. There are three types of feeling: painful feeling, pleasant feeling, and neither suffering nor joy.If the root dust relative produces a satisfactory, happy and joyful feeling, this is a happy feeling. But the happiness in the world does not last long, and extreme happiness gives rise to sadness, which is also suffering. Therefore, happiness is the cause of suffering. If you encounter a situation where there is neither suffering nor happiness, it is a form of resignation. This is a stupor in the heart, neither likes nor dislikes, no memory, dull ignorance, and pain. Therefore, it is explained that all receiving is suffering, so it is called viewing experience as suffering.3. Contemplating the impermanence of the mind, the mind refers to the sixth consciousness of delusional thinking, which is non-stop arising and ceasing. But our aspirations to practice must be based on the sixth consciousness of delusional mind, so this mind is the root of good and evil, and this mind is characterized by the impermanence of birth and death. Our practice is to hold back this wandering mind and prevent it from running around and thinking about it. The "Diamond Sutra" says: "Yunhe subdue his mind." It is to subdue this delusional mind.Fourth, observe the law without self, and the law is all laws. All the sentient beings in the world and all the inanimate things are collectively referred to as all dharmas.Let us observe with wisdom, everything is born of the combination of karma and emptiness, and the separation of karma and illusory disillusionment. It's all false.Birth and death are impermanent, among all dharmas, there is no self-image.All living beings have always misunderstood that the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind are the body, and the six dust objects are the mind.It is fundamentally wrong, it is falsely clinging to the mind and body, thinking of the real self, falsely recognizing all dharmas, and thinking of the true dharma. This is like seeing empty flowers with blind eyes. There have never been flowers in the sky.Arouse the three poisons and three hearts of greed, hatred and ignorance, and do all kinds of evil karma. We can gain enlightenment from contemplation, all dharmas are not available to me, and all dharmas are false and unreal.Cultivate the concept of selflessness, and you will definitely be able to escape from life and death, break away from confusion and prove the truth. Therefore, when Shakyamuni Buddha was dying, he asked his disciples to live in accordance with the four foundations of mindfulness. The importance of these four methods of mindfulness can be imagined. All in all, the view of karma in Buddhism is really a universal truth. Whether it is Mahayana or Hinayana, it is the same argument. Seasonal karma is inconceivable. The so-called success will come when conditions are ripe.Whether it is good or evil, cause and effect, Buddha or sentient beings, life and death, or Nirvana, all of them are inseparable from the law of cause and effect. Two, four right work.1. The evil decree has been broken.2. Don't live without evil.Three, the good order is not born.4. The growth of the good that has been born is the principle that all evil should be avoided and all good should be followed. We use wisdom to observe, just to be diligent, diligently practice the three learnings of precepts, concentration and wisdom, eliminate the three poisons of greed, hatred and ignorance, and use the four righteous diligence as a way to help the Tao to practice diligently and practice hard, cut off evil and produce good, so it is called the four righteous diligence. Three, four wishful feet, also known as the four divine feet.Because it can emit all kinds of supernatural powers, all wishes can be fulfilled and satisfied. Now I will explain the principle of the four wishful feet by practicing the Pure Land method.1. Desiring to be fulfilled, admiring the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, making vows and reciting Buddha's name.2. If you are diligent and wishful, you will be reborn in the West and you will be able to obtain three kinds of non-regression, namely, non-regression in enthronement, non-regression in thought, non-regression in action, and perfect attainment.Three, wishful thinking. The bodhi action vows that are being made now are exactly the relentless remembrance.4. Wisdom and wishfulness. The wisdom of the Buddha can grow day by day. This is the four wish-fulfilling feet. Four, five roots, the five roots are the root of faith, the root of progress, the root of concentration, the root of mindfulness, and the root of wisdom.Root has two meanings.1. Sustainability. For example, if a tree has roots, it can produce branches and leaves without scorching.2. Being able to grow. For example, when a tree has roots, it can blossom, bear fruit and mature.1. Faith.I firmly believe in practicing the right way and helping the way.Second, enter the root.Practicing the right way and helping the way are diligently seeking various good methods.Three, the root of mindfulness. In addition to thinking more about the righteous way and various good methods to help the way, there are no other distracting thoughts.Fourth, set the root.To subdue his mind, he must be in the right way and the way of assistance, and his thoughts should not be lost or lost.Five, wisdom root.Practicing the right way and assisting the way, can illuminate the wisdom clearly.Master Xie Yi said: When we meditate on meditation, when we contemplate the Four Noble Truths of the Origin of Suffering and the Extinction of the Dao, our wisdom will shine clearly. The essence of observing the truth of suffering is the Dharmakaya; the essence of observing the three poisons of greed, hatred and ignorance is the wonderful wisdom of Prajna; the essence of observing the truth is the cause of liberation; the essence of observing the truth of extinction is the fruit of liberation; This is the principle of the five senses. Five, the five powers, the five powers are the development and growth of the five faculties, so they can have great functions.Instead of being overwhelmed by other doubts, laziness, and afflictions, you can subdue other afflictions such as doubts and laxity.1. Credibility.Because the root of faith has grown, we can firmly believe that the heart is the Buddha, and the heart is the truth of the Buddha. It can get rid of the doubts that sentient beings cannot become Buddhas, can get rid of all wrong views, and will not be shaken by evil laws.It can also get rid of all kinds of troubles such as seeing, thinking, dust and ignorance. This is called confidence. Two, advance. As the root of faith has increased, all kinds of slack in the body and mind can be broken.Without self-consciousness, he can endure hardships and get rid of the slackness of the body.Keep the mind from becoming ignorant, sinking, and break the slackness of the mind.To be able to accomplish major events beyond life and death, this is called Jinli.Three, mind power.Due to the growth of the root of thought, it can break the evil thoughts of emptiness and duality, and achieve the merit of righteous thoughts of the middle way in the world. This is called the power of thought.Fourth, concentration.Due to the growth of the root of samadhi, one can stay undisturbed, get rid of distracted and delusional minds; This is called concentration.Fifth, wisdom.Due to the growth of the root of wisdom, we can reveal the light of our own nature, and can break the afflictions of seeing, thinking, and Bodhisattvas.Afflictions are darkness, and only the light of wisdom can break the darkness and manifest true wisdom, which is called wisdom. Six, the seven Bodhi points, also known as the seven points of enlightenment, due to the wisdom of the five powers, the wisdom of no leaks, goodness and enlightenment, so there are seven points of enlightenment: 1. The point of enlightenment in choosing the law.It is to observe all dharmas with wisdom, what is true and what is false, we know that the five aggregates are all empty, it is true, and falsely clinging to our own law is true, and we use wisdom to choose, distinguish, perceive, think, and recognize the five aggregates. No self, do not presumptuously hold him as me.All dharmas of the five aggregates are inherently illusory and unreal, and they are not falsely grasped as reality. This is simple and clear, corresponding to the wisdom without leakage. This is called Dharma awareness.Second, the awareness of refinement. When we practice the Tao diligently, we can concentrate on it and never give up, we can cultivate the Tao with one heart and never get tired, with clear wisdom, we can choose to cultivate properly and not practice the ascetic practice practiced by heretics.Diligently practice the ways of Bodhisattvas such as the Six Paramitas and Four Absorptions. This is called vigor awareness.Three, joy points.Due to the clearness of wisdom, Shanneng realizes that all dharmas live in the real state, and gives birth to great joy. This is called joy.Fourth, in addition to sleep points. When we practice hard work, we can cut off the ten afflictions of the five sharp and five blunt causes.Wisdom is clearly illuminated, goodness can be awakened, and the use of true wisdom to break through darkness and troubles is called eliminating enlightenment.Fifth, give up feeling. As for the present state, wisdom illuminates it clearly, knowing that it is all illusory and unreal, such as empty flowers and dream shadows, which are all illusory and unreal, and abandoning them forever, not being attached to the environment, this is called the awareness of equanimity.Sixth, Dingjue points. When people practice meditation, they use wisdom to observe and know that all kinds of mundane meditations practiced by the Four Chans, Four Spaces, Heavenly Man, and heretics are all false and unreal. , Sufficient concentration. This is called samadhi.Seven, mindfulness points.Practice the thirty-seven grades, you can escape from the cycle of life and death in the world, but when you practice meditation, you should be able to illuminate clearly, and you will be able to feel good.Make Dinghui equal, impartial, like the two wheels of a cart, like the two wings of a bird.If the concentration is too strong and the mind becomes dull, immediately use the three awareness points of choice, progress, and joy to examine and mention it.If the power of wisdom is too much and the mind is floating, use the three awareness factors of elimination, equanimity, and concentration to cure and restrain.Dinghui must be equal. This is called mindfulness. 7. The Noble Eightfold Path, also known as the Eightfold Path.To practice the holy law without leakage is called righteousness, and to be able to pass through Nirvana is called Tao.One, right view. When we cultivate the Dharma door of seeing the Four Noble Truths without leaks, we need to have clear wisdom and see the truth correctly. If we practice this meditation, we can not miss the cycle of life and death. This is called right view. Two, positive thinking. The thinking corresponding to the Four Noble Truths and the Four Noble Truths, with the wisdom of the Four Noble Truths, activates the awareness of the Four Noble Truths, and equals the realm of the Four Noble Truths. called positive thinking.Three, right speech.Cultivate the Four Noble Truths, and use the wisdom of no omissions to get rid of the four kinds of evil lives. 1. Eat with the mouth, such as lobbying in all directions, etc.; 2. Eat with the mouth, such as spells, divination, etc.; XingXiu, etc., 4. Eat bad food, such as not doing proper work, etc., do not live by yourself with the four kinds of evil fate.To collect oral karma, do not lie, gossip, harsh words, or two tongues. This is called righteous speech.Fourth, proper work.Cultivating the wisdom of no leakage means to eliminate all evil karma in the body, live in a pure holy life, and refrain from other unrighteous behaviors such as killing, stealing, and prostitution. This is called right karma.Fifth, Right Livelihood. From the wisdom of no leaks, eliminate the five kinds of evil lives in the three karma of body, speech and mind, 1. Fake objections, do strange things different from others, and make people believe in him. 2. Self-proclaimed merits and virtues can seduce people's hearts. 3. Divination of fate, good or bad forecast. 4. Show power loudly and be awe-inspiring. 5. Talk about the offerings you get to move people's hearts. These five kinds of wrong lives are all evil intentions to seek profit in order to survive. People who practice should live in the pure and right livelihood, live by the way, and be able to increase the Dharma body, wisdom and destiny. This is called right livelihood.Sixth, right effort.Cultivate the path of Nirvana with the wisdom of non-exhaustion, practice diligently, never get tired, respond to thoughts and thoughts, and practice wisdom as one, this is called right diligence.7. Mindfulness. To cultivate the wisdom of no omissions, one must eliminate delusional thoughts, and concentrate on thinking of truth as reality, the fruit of Buddha and Bodhi, and even the solemn path and fruit of all deeds. It's called righteous thoughts.Eight, Zhengding.Corresponding with the wisdom of no leaks, you can get into the correct concentration and stay away from uncertainty, evil concentration, meditation with leakage, etc. This is called correct concentration. The above-mentioned thirty-seven ways of assisting the Tao means that we can definitely help to achieve the Buddha Way when we practice the Tao. All dharmas in the world cannot escape the word cause and effect. The so-called effect is not separated from the cause, and there is no effect without a cause. As far as the Four Noble Truths are concerned, suffering is the result of origin, origin is the cause of suffering, cessation is the effect of Tao, and Tao is the cause of cessation. If there is no root cause of greed, how can we experience the bitter fruit of birth and death? If there is no intensive practice of Taoism as the cause, how can one obtain the fruit of Nirvana? Therefore, the Four Noble Truths, according to the order, should be the cause and effect first, and then the path to cessation of suffering.Because the fruit is easy to understand but the cause is difficult to know, in order to make it easy to guide, it first shows the appearance of suffering to make it disgusting, and then shows the cause of karma to break it up.After that, he first showed the joy of Nirvana to make him admire. Then use Taoism to make him practice. The intention is to let people "know the origin of suffering and stop it, and seek to eliminate it and cultivate the Tao." For this reason, we first talk about the effect and then talk about the cause, so it is the origin of suffering and the elimination of the Tao.
