It belongs to the sacred part of the "Old Testament", and it is mostly aphorisms circulated in the daily life of ancient Jews, full of wisdom and wit unique to Jewish culture. The Wonderful Use of Proverbs Chapter 1 The Proverbs of Solomon, Son of David, King of Israel: To make a man know wisdom and instruction, to discern understanding words; Knowledge and counsel; to the wise to hear and to increase in learning; to the wise to be wise; to understand proverbs and parables, to understand the words and riddles of the wise. Do not be tempted by the wicked. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and wisdom. My son will obey the instruction of your father, and not forsake the law of your mother. For it will be a crown of beauty on your head, and a chain of gold on your neck.

My son, if a wicked man tempts you, do not follow him.If they say: Come with us, we will lie in wait for blood, we will lie in wait for the innocent. We swallowed them up like hell; we swallowed them up like those who went down into the pit.We shall find all kinds of treasure, and fill our houses with spoil. You share with all of us, we share a pouch. My son, do not walk with them, and keep your feet from their paths; for their feet run to do evil, and they shed blood hastily.Like a bird in the air, Gang Luo set up in front of his eyes and still doesn't dodge. These people ambush to shed their own blood; crouching is to kill themselves. All those who are greedy for money and profit walk in the same way; this greedy heart kills the life of the rich.

Fools hate knowledge and wisdom Cry out in the marketplace, Cry out in the open spaces: Cry out in the bustling streets, Cry out in the city gates, utter words in the city: You fools love ignorance, scorners love scorn, fools hate knowledge, How long will it be?Turn back at my rebuke, I will pour out my Spirit on you, and I will make known my words to you.I called, but you refused to listen; I stretched out my hand, but no one heeded; but you forsook all my counsel, and refused to accept my rebuke.I will laugh at your calamity, and I will laugh at your terror.Terror will come upon you like a violent wind; calamity will come like a storm; distress and pain will come upon you. Then you will call on me, but I will not answer; you will seek me earnestly, but you will not find me.For you hate knowledge, and do not love the fear of the LORD; you do not listen to my counsel, and despise all my rebukes; therefore you will eat your own fruit, and be full of your own devises.

Heeding the words of wisdom will lead to well-being. A fool who backslidden will kill himself; a fool who is at ease will kill himself. But whoever listens to me will live in safety and find peace and fear no disaster. Wisdom and understanding are from the LORD Chapter Two My son, if you accept my words and store up my commandments, and listen to wisdom, set your heart on understanding; call on the wise, lift up your voice and seek understanding; seek him like silver and seek He is like searching for hidden treasure, and you will know the fear of the Lord and know God. For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth came knowledge and understanding. He preserves true wisdom for the upright, and is a shield for those whose walk is upright. To guard the way of the just, and to preserve the way of the godly.

You will also understand righteousness, justice, and uprightness, all that is good.Wisdom shall come into your heart, and knowledge shall be the beauty of your soul.Counseling will guard you, understanding will keep you, and will deliver you from evil ways and from those who speak perverse things. Those who forsake the straight way and walk in the ways of darkness, who rejoice in evil and delight in the perverseness of the wicked.crooked in their ways, and lost in their ways. Wisdom will save you from the harlot, that smooth-talking maid.He forsakes the mate of his youth, and forgets the covenant of God.His house was thrown into death, and his way was turned to hell.Whoever goes to him will not turn back nor find the way of life.Wisdom will make you walk in the way of the good and keep the way of the righteous. The upright shall finish their dwelling on earth; the whole shall remain on earth.

But the wicked must cut off the treacherous. Keep the Commandments Chapter Three My son forget not my law.Keep my commandments with your heart; for he will add to you long days and years of life and peace.Mercy and truth shall not depart from you, but shall be tied about your neck, and written on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and understanding in the sight of God and the world. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.Do not think yourself wise, but fear the LORD and turn away from evil.It will heal your navel and water your bones, and you will honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your crops. Then your barns will be filled to excess.Your wine is overflowing with new wine.

My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor tire of his reproof; for the LORD corrects whom he loves, as a father corrects a son whom he loves. Wisdom is precious. Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and whoever finds understanding. For wisdom is better than silver, and its benefits are better than gold, and more precious than pearls, and all your desires are not worth it. He has longevity in his right hand and wealth in his left hand. His ways are comfort, and all his ways are peace. He and those who uphold him are a tree of life, and blessed are those who uphold him. The LORD established the earth with wisdom, ruled the world with understanding, opened the abyss with knowledge, and made the sky drop nectar.

My son, keep to true wisdom and counsel, and do not let him out of your sight. Then he will be your life and the beauty of your neck. You just walk and don't touch your feet. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.Do not be afraid of sudden terror; do not be afraid of the destruction of the wicked; for the Lord is your trust, and he will keep your feet from falling into the trap. If you have the power to do good in your hand, do not refuse it, but do it to the one who deserves it.If you have it ready there, do not say to your neighbor: Go!Come back tomorrow and I will give it to you.Do not design harm to your neighbor, who dwells near you.Do not contend with anyone who has done you no harm without cause.Do not envy the violent man, nor choose his way.For the wicked are an abomination to the LORD, but the upright are dear to him.The LORD curses the house of the wicked, but blesses the dwelling place of the righteous. He mocks the mocker, but gives grace to the humble. The wise will receive honor, but the promotion of the fool will be a disgrace.

Listen to the Instructions Chapter 4 My sons, listen to your father's instruction, and take heed to be wise; for I have given you a good instruction; forsake not my law.I am a filial son in front of my father, and the only sweet child in my mother's eyes. My father taught me: Keep my words in your heart: obey my commands and you will live.Get wisdom, get understanding, do not forget, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.Do not forsake wisdom, and it will guard you; love it, and it will keep you.Wisdom leads. So to get wisdom, in all your possessions, you must get understanding.Exalt wisdom and it will exalt you; embrace wisdom and it will honor you.It will crown your head with splendor and give you a diadem of glory.

My son, listen to my words and you will live longer.I have taught you the way of wisdom, and I have led you in paths of uprightness. When you walk, your steps will not be constricted; when you run, you will not stumble.Hold fast, don't let go; hold fast, because he is your life.Do not walk in the way of the wicked, do not walk in the way of the wicked.Avoid it, don't pass by it; turn around and go away.Such people will not sleep unless they do evil; they will not sleep unless they cause people to stumble. For they eat the bread of their likes and dislikes, and drink of their violence.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of the dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full day.The way of the wicked is like darkness, and they do not know where they stumble. My son, pay attention to my words, set your ear to my words, and keep them not out of your sight, but keep them in your heart. For whoever has it has life and medicine for the whole body. You must guard your heart more than anything else, because the fruit of life comes from the heart.Put away your wicked mouth, put away perverted mouths.Let your eyes look straight ahead; let your eyes see straight ahead.Make smooth the paths of your feet, and make all your ways firm.Turn not to the right or to the left, but keep your feet from evil. Be a Harlot Chapter Five My son, pay attention to my words of wisdom, and listen to my wise words. That you may keep counsel, and your lips preserve knowledge. For the mouth of a harlot drips honey, and his mouth is smoother than oil, But in the end it is bitter as wormwood, and quick as a two-edged knife. Her feet went to death, and his feet stuck to hell, so that she could not find the smooth way of life. Her path is uncertain, and she doesn't know it yet. Sons!Listen to me now and do not forsake the words of my mouth.Keep your ways far from her, and come near her door, lest you give your honor to another, and your days to a cruel man; into a stranger's house; and at last your flesh and your body perish, and you lament and say, How I have hated instruction, and have despised reproof in my heart, and have not listened to my master, nor listened to him who taught me.I am in the congregation almost in every evil. You shall drink the water of your own pool, the living water of your own well.Shall your fountain overflow?Shall your rivers flow in the streets? It belongs to you alone, and cannot be used by outsiders.May your fountain be blessed, and the wife of your youth be pleased. He is like a welcome deer, a pleasing doe; may his breast satisfy you always; his love, you are always longing for.My son, why do you desire a whore? Why embrace the bosom of a niece? For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he makes all his paths smooth. The wicked shall be seized by his own iniquity, and he shall be entwined by his own iniquity like a rope.He will die because he is not disciplined. And because of their ignorance, they will go astray. Don't Be Bonded Chapter Six My son, if you bond for a friend and clap your hands for a stranger, you'll be entangled in the words of your mouth, caught by the words of your mouth. My son, since you have fallen into the hands of your friends, do this to save yourself: Humble yourself, and beseech your friends; let not your eyes sleep, let not your eyelids swell, save yourself, as A deer is out of the hand of the hunter, like a bird out of the hand of the fowler. Don't be lazy and lazy, you can gain wisdom by observing the movements of ants.Ants have no marshals, no officials, no kings, yet they prepare food in summer and gather food in harvest. How long will you sleep, lazy man?when will you wake upWhen you sleep for a while, when you take a nap, when you lie down with your arms folded, your poverty will come like a robber, and your lack will come like a man with weapons. A villain who does evil will be rewarded. He acts with a perverted mouth, expresses with his eyes, gestures with his feet, and points with his fingers; his heart is perverted, and he always plots evil and sows divisions. Therefore, calamity will come upon him suddenly, and he will be instantly corrupted and beyond cure. There are six things that the LORD hates, seven things are an abomination to his heart: pious eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises evil schemes, feet that are quick to run to evil, and utter lies false witness, and sows dissension among brethren. It is a great trouble to be seduced by a harlot, my son, keep the commandments of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother, and keep them on your heart and on your neck. When you walk, it will guide you; when you lie down, it will keep you; when you wake up, it will talk to you.For the commandment is the lamp, the law is the light, and the rebuke of the instruction is the way of life, which can keep you from the evil woman and the flattering tongue of the niece.Don't envy her beauty in your heart, and don't be seduced by her eyelids.Because a prostitute can leave a person with only a piece of bread, and a whore hunts for a precious life.If a person carries fire in his arms, how can his clothes not be burned? If a man walks on burning coals, will his feet not burn?So also is he who draws near to his neighbor's wife; whoever draws near to her will not go unpunished. No one despises a thief who steals to fill his hunger. If found, he will pay back sevenfold.Everything in the family must be repaid.Whoever commits adultery with a woman is ignorant, and whoever does it will lose his life.He must be wounded, he must be reproached, and his shame shall not be blotted out.For man's jealousy is turned into a fierce wrath; when it comes to revenge, there will be no mercy. He was unwilling to pay any ransom.Although you give many gifts, he will not give up. Wisdom to be Obeyed Chapter Seven My son, keep my words and keep my commandments in mind.Obey my commands and you shall live; keep my laws like the pupil of your eye.Tie it on your finger and engrave it on your heart.Say to wisdom, Thou art my sister, and call wisdom thy kinsman; and it shall keep thee from the harlot, from the niece who speaks flattery. I once looked out from the window of my house, from between my window couch, and I saw among the fools, among the young men, a foolish young man passing by the street, approaching the alley of the harlot, until Go to the road that leads to his house. In the evening, or in the evening, or in the middle of the night, or in darkness; behold, a woman came to meet him, dressed as a prostitute, with a deceitful mind. This woman was noisy and unrestrained, unable to stay at home, sometimes crouching in the market, sometimes in the open, or at the corners of the alleys. He grabbed the young man, kissed him, and said to him without shame: "The peace offering is with me, and today I have fulfilled my vow."Therefore, I came out to meet you, begged to see you, and happened to meet you.I have made my bed with embroidered blankets and Egyptian thread.I also scented my couch with myrrh, agarwood, and cinnamon. You come, we can feast on love till morning. We can love and be happy with each other.Because my husband is not at home, he is traveling a long way.He holds the silver pouch in his hand, and he will not go home until Yuewang. The harlot seduces him with many flattering words, and compels him to go with her flattering lips.Immediately the young man followed her like an ox going to the slaughter. And like a fool in chains, he goes to be punished.Waiting for the arrow to pierce his liver, like a bird eager to be snatched, but not knowing that it is his own life. Sons!Listen to Me now, and pay attention to what I say.Do not turn your heart to the way of the harlot, do not lead her astray.Because of her injuries, many fell down, and many were killed by her.Her home is on the way of hell, down to the palace of death. All the words of my mouth are righteous, not crooked. To those who are wise, they think it is obvious, and to those who have knowledge, they think it is right.Receive my teaching rather than silver; have knowledge rather than gold. For wisdom is more beautiful than pearls, and all that is lovable is not worthy of comparison. My wisdom dwells in the spirit, and finds knowledge and counsel. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride, arrogance, evil ways, and perverted mouths.I have counsel and true knowledge; I am understanding and I am powerful. The emperor lends me to sit on the throne, and the king lends me to determine justice.Princes and princes, all judges of the world, rule through me.He who loves me, I also love; whoever seeks me earnestly will find and find me.Riches and honor are with me, everlasting riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, stronger than pure gold; my fruit is more than high silver.I walk in the way of righteousness, I walk in the path of justice, that those who love me will inherit wealth and fill their treasuries. The source of wisdom is at the beginning of Jehovah's creation, and before the creation of all things in the beginning, there was me.From eternity, from the beginning, before the world was, I was established.I was born without deeps, without fountains of great waters. Before the mountains were laid, and before the hills were formed, I was born. Before the LORD created the earth and the fields and the soil of the world, I gave birth. He set up the heavens, and I was there; He drew a circle around the face of the deep, He made the firmament above, and the depths below; At that time, I was with him as an engineer, and I was loved by him every day, always rejoicing before him, rejoicing in the place he prepared for people to live in, and rejoicing to live among the world. Wisdom blesses all sons!Listen to me now.For blessed is the one who keeps my way.If you listen to the teaching, you will gain wisdom, and don't give up.Blessed is the man who listens to me, who looks up at my door every day, and waits by my door frame. For whoever finds me finds life, and will receive favor from the LORD.Whoever sins against me takes his own life; whoever hates me loves death. Wisdom Makes a Feast Chapter 9 Wisdom builds a house, hews seven pillars, kills animals, mixes wine, and prepares a feast. He sent out his maidservant, and he himself called out from the highest place in the city, saying, "Whoever is a fool, let him come here."And he said to the ignorant man: Come and eat my bread and drink my mingled wine. You foolish people, if you want to abandon your foolishness, you will live and walk in the way of glory. Whoever rebukes a mocker will be reproached.whoever rebukes the wicked will be defiled.Do not reprove the scorner, lest he hate you.Reprove a wise man, and he will love you.Teach a wise man, and he becomes wiser; teach a righteous man, and he increases in learning. him in evil ways.He who shuts his eyes conspires perversely; he who shuts his lips works wickedness.Gray hair is a crown of glory, and in the way of righteousness it will be won.
