There are more than one species of living things in the world, all of which cannot survive without the "force" of self-defense and invasion.Evolution and development into human society, relying on strength to survive, is still the same as other creatures. It's just that the level of force is higher, the "country" has become a whole, and the force has a professional organization, so it has a proper name, "force".There are two kinds of tricks: one is external, called the army; the other is internal, called the police force. After specialization, the functions are quite different from other creatures.Other creatures use force, usually to deal with aliens, such as tigers and leopards eating deer, mosquitoes biting humans, and so on.Human beings are different, killing elephants for ivory, killing sheep for kebabs, etc. It is no longer necessary to compete on the battlefield, and it seems that there is no need to use force; force is used to deal with the same kind. Take historical events as an example, such as The suppression of the Li Zicheng Uprising in the Ming Dynasty was internal, and the resistance to the Qing Dynasty was external, and both inside and outside were of the same kind.

The reason for the preparation of military force is that different countries, especially neighboring ones, will have conflicts of interest, or just have a bad relationship, or one of the parties wants to expand; no matter what the reason is, it will form psychological distrust.Experts do not believe it, since they think it is not safe, of course they would rather prepare than use it, and prepare it if it is not available. The reason for preparing force to fight internally is because of the flamboyant world; there are all kinds of people, let’s say they are a minority, and because they are immoral, they cannot abide by the law and become black sheep. Such black sheep are usually both powerful and abuse their power, so In order to safeguard the interests of the group, there must be greater force.Such a distinction between internal and external is reasonable. If it is practical, in the old days, extravagance ruled the world, and it often used force to fight internally, such as the suppression of anti-government activities in the past dynasties.

Mutual distrust can have serious consequences. The initial step is to expand the army (including improving and increasing weapons) and prepare for war. This will consume a great deal of wealth, and wealth, obviously, can only come from the people. This will inevitably lead to an insoluble contradiction: the purpose of preparing force is to protect the people's lives, but it cannot but affect the people's lives. It is difficult to solve because, at least in a short period of time, before the ideal of Datong is realized, the boundaries between countries are clearly defined, and it is impossible to change distrust into trust. Then I heard that the other party made a gun. We have to rush to build guns, which is called an arms race.Competition, subjectively, may be said to be for deterrence, that is, so that the opponent will not dare to act rashly. But people's hearts are not aligned, just like their faces. The legendary Taiwang (who led the people to transfer if the neighboring country wanted to get its land) was also born to Hitler, so sometimes it is inevitable to resort to war. This brings about even greater contradictions: originally raising soldiers is for the survival and stability of the people, but it may lead to death and destruction. How to resolve the conflict?Theoretically, it is not absolutely impossible. If the capital of the country becomes the legendary king, so there is no dispute, it is one way; the other way is more thorough, it is the unity of the world, there will be no country, and there will be no country-to-country disputes .Obviously, at least for the time being, these two paths are fantasies, so it is unavoidable that both will expand the army and prepare for war.

It seems that the problem is difficult to solve, firstly because there are differences between countries, and secondly because those who have the right to use force, some are not reconciled to self-defense but want to expand. Both reasons are hard-rooted, and both are difficult to eliminate.Looking at the history of various countries, there are many people from fewer people, and social organizations from division to integration. The integration almost always comes from the strong bullying the weak, the many oppressing the few, that is, the expansion of the powerful. For example, in China, before and after the legend of Yao and Shun, there may have been no fewer than a few hundred tribes. In the Spring and Autumn Period, there were still dozens of countries, large and small, and in the Warring States Period, there were seven heroes standing side by side.During the reign of an autocratic monarch, expansionism is inevitable. The positive aspect is to expand the ruled area, and the negative aspect is to lie on the side of the couch and not allow others to sleep. After the expansion was successful, it was still by force, so that those who were not convinced did not dare to rebel. The modern situation has changed. The vast majority of countries, which have become public opinion, are against expansion; while those who are dissatisfied (mainly because of ethnic issues) are demanding independence. The ideal of going to national borders to achieve Datong was, at least temporarily, shattered. The only hope left is that those with the right to use force are content with self-defense rather than expansion. How can this be done? The condition of the spirit is that the person in charge is wise, and the condition of the system is that the order does not come from individuals, but from the collective representing the people. The collective believes in rational and careful consideration, and will not use force unless it is absolutely necessary.

It is also ideal to trust reason and act wisely. If this ideal were to become a reality, the military component of the armed forces of nations could be reduced until it was practically non-existent.But this is an ideal after all, just as the gentleman's country is an ideal, it is extremely difficult to become a reality. Then we must seek truth from facts, seek as many countries as possible, be guaranteed by the system and education, and regarding force, be content with self-defense and not seek expansion.Just in case, such countries can be united, no matter how they are called, the main purpose is to oppose expansionism outside the union. If such a coalition is closely united and there are no internal conflicts of interest, the situation of arms expansion and preparations for war will be eased.

Another ideal is that the most powerful armed force belongs to the United Nations, so that it can perform the function of the world's police, so that individual countries that want to expand will not dare to move, and countries will not expand their arms and prepare for war. This may be a feasible path, but unfortunately it is too long and cannot be achieved in a short period of time, because at present, a little power of the United Nations comes from participating countries (such as funding) and some international public opinion, which is different from the real power of each country. The power is minuscule compared to the gun.

So we often hear that although the vast majority of people, or even more people, are unwilling to fight, the danger of war cannot be eliminated after all.So preparations for force are always inevitable. It is too far-reaching and too difficult to be good at all, so we have to take a step back and only seek to be good at ourselves. This is for the sake of social stability and prosperity and the happiness of the people. With regard to force, the scale should be applied to external, self-defense, internal, and criminal offenses.Beyond this limit, for example, it is unreasonable to send troops into the territory of neighboring countries for one's own interests externally, or to use force internally to deal with dissidents. The use of force is usually when reason no longer works, and it is necessary to be reasonable instead, which seems to be a bit entangled, but when it comes to martial arts, one should be reluctant and try to achieve this.
