It has been 40 years since Wen Wei Po "PEN" was published!During these forty years, it united and mobilized many literary and artistic workers at that time, and made great achievements in the progressive literary cause.After liberation, from 1956 to 1962, great efforts were made to further implement the "Double Hundred" policy and promote the diversification of themes, styles and forms of literary works.During the ten-year period of turmoil, the "Gang of Four" equated "Qifang" with "Contestation" and "Class Struggle," and "PEN" was forced to suspend its publication.But this gap is just a glorious page in the publishing history of PEN!After the "Gang of Four" was smashed, "PEN" resumed its publication. I remember that I wrote short articles such as "Me and Shanghai" and "Remembering Yelao and Ba Jin" for it, expressing my support.Now, as it celebrates its 40th anniversary, I wish it will take advantage of the victory and move forward, unite and mobilize more and younger literary and art workers, and do their best for the socialist modernization of the motherland!
