It is mainly used to eliminate phlegm addiction in the chest, cure thirst, reduce carbuncle, produce blood, regulate qi, boil water, wash away wind diseases, and relieve poisoning caused by eating beef and horse meat. 附方兰草和兰花，在植物学上根本不是同一科的东西，但许多人没有作仔细的实际观察，往往把这两者混同起来。连对本草有研究的寇苕（宋人）和朱震亨（元人）也认为兰花就是兰草，李时珍为此，特在中的兰草条专门写了一段正误，把这两种植物从形态上辨清。他说，医书是为实用而写的，汉有把药物弄错。 泽兰 释名水香、都梁香、虎兰、虎蒲、龙枣、孩儿菊、风药。根名地笋。 气味（叶）苦、微温、无毒。 主治1、产后水肿，血虚浮肿。有泽兰、防己，等分为末。每服二钱，醋酒送下。 2、小儿蓐疮。由大人嚼泽兰心把疮周围封起来。very effective. 3、疮肿初起。把泽兰捣烂封住，有效。 4、损伤瘀肿。Governance is the same as above. 5、产后阴翻（产后阴户燥热，变成翻花状）。用泽兰四两，煎汤薰洗。二、三次后，再加枯矾一起煎洗。 附方地笋，是泽兰的根。可治产妇心腹痛等症。产妇地笋作蔬菜吃，可以增强体力。 马兰 释名紫菊。 气味（根、叶）辛、平、无毒。 主治1、诸疟寒热。用马羊兰捣汁，再加一点水，发病日早晨服。药中高精亦可加沙糖。 2、绞肠痧。用马兰根叶在口中细嚼，将汁咽下。 3、打伤出血。用马兰、旱莲草、松香、皂树叶（冬日无叶，可用树皮）共研细，搽入伤口。 4、喉痹口紧。用马兰根（或叶）捣汁，加几滴醋滴入鼻孔中，或灌入喉中，痰邮，口自开。 5、水肿尿涩。用马半、黑豆、小麦，加酒、水各一杯，煎成药一杯，饭前温服。 6、丹毒。用马兰、甘草，磨醋搽患处。 7、痔漏。春夏取生马兰，秋冬取干马兰，白水煮食，连汁喝下。又方：马兰，酒煮，焙、研后加糊做成丸子。每天服适量，米汤送下。另用马兰煎水，加一点盐。每天熏洗患处。 Attached party 香薷 释名香柔、香茸、香菜、蜜蜂草。 气味辛、微温、无毒。 主治1、伤暑（暑天卧湿当风，或生冷不节，头痛发热，转筋，干呕，四肢发冷等）。用香薷一斤、厚朴（姜汁炙过）、白扁豆（微炒）各半斤，锉散。每服五钱，加水二碗，酒半碗，煎成一碗，放水中等冷定后服下。连进二服，很有效。此方名“香薷饮”。方中的扁豆，可用黄连（姜汁炒）代替。 2、水肿。用干香薷五十斤，锉入锅中，加水久煮，去渣再浓煎，浓到可以捏丸时，即做成丸子，如梧子大。每服五丸，一天服三次，药量可以逐日加一点以小便能畅为愈。此方名“香薷煎”。又方：香薷叶一斤，水一斗，熬烂，去渣，再熬成膏，加白术末七两作成丸子，如梧子大。每服十丸，米汤送下。此方名“深师薷术丸”。 3、心烦胁痛。用香薷捣捣汁一、二升服。 4、鼻血不止。用香薷研累，水冲服一钱 附方香薷的订功效是发汗解表、利尿消肿。如伤暑后大热大渴，汗泄如雨，则不家用本品。 假苏 释名姜芥、荆芥、鼠萤。 气味（茎、穗）辛、温、无毒。 主治1、风热头痛。用荆芥穗、石膏，等分为末。每服地我，茶调下。 2、风热牙痛。用荆芥根、乌桕根、葱根等分，煎汤随时含漱。 3、小儿惊症。用荆芥穗二两、白矾（半生半枯）一两，共研为末，加糊做成丸子，如黍米大。朱砂为衣。每服二十丸，姜汤下。Take it twice a day. 4、一切偏风（口眼歪斜）。用青荆芥一斤，青薄荷一斤，一起研烂，取汁浓煎成膏。加将药渣支掉三分之一，蓁三分之二晒干为末。 以膏和末做成丸子，如梧子大。每服三十丸，白开水送下。早晚各服一次。 5、中风口噤。用荆芥穗研细，取二钱，酒送服。此方名“荆芥散”。 6、产后中风（手足抽筋，角弓反张，不省人事）。用荆芥穗子，微焙为末。每服三钱，酒或童便送下。口噤则挑齿灌入，齿紧则由鼻灌入。此方名“华陀愈风散”，还有“如圣散”、“举卿古拜散”（亦即荆芥散之意，因举卿切音为荆，古拜切音为芥。这是用切音隐语来为药方名）等名。 7、产后血眩（精神昏冒）。用荆芥穗一两三钱、桃仁五钱（去皮尖，炒），共研为末。每服三钱，水磅下。如喘，加杏仁（去皮尖，炒）、甘草（炒）各三钱。 8、产后下痢。用荆芥穗四、五枝，烧存性，不能触油火。烧好后加麝香少许，以热开水调下。 9、口鼻出血如泉涌。用荆芥烧存性，研累。每服二钱，陈皮煎汤送下。Two clothes can be cured. 10、吐血不止。用荆芥连根洗过，捣汁半碗服下。服干穗末亦可。又方：荆芥穗为末。生地黄汁调服二钱。 11、尿血。用荆芥、缩砂，等分为末。每服三钱，糯米汤送下。Take it three times a day. 12、血崩。和荆芥穗在麻油灯上烧焦，研细。每服二钱，童便送下。 13、痔漏肿痛。用荆芥煮汤，每日洗痛处。 14、大便下血。用荆芥（炒）为末，每服二钱，米汤送下，妇女酒送下。又方：荆芥二两、槐花一两，同炒，研细。每服三钱，茶送下。 15、瘰疬溃烂（牵连到胸前两腋，结块大如茄子）。用荆芥根下段剪碎，煎汤热洗。洗后，见破烂处有紫黑点，以针刺破，让恶血流出。另用樟脑、雄黄，等分为末，麻油调匀扫烂处出水。次日洗过又扫，直至病愈。 16、疔肿诸毒。用荆芥一把，切细，加水五升煮成一升，分为两次冷饮。 17、各种疮疥。用荆芥研末，加地黄自然榨汁熬膏，调成丸子，如梧子大。每服三、五十丸，茶或酒送下。 18、脚丫湿烂。用荆芥叶捣烂敷上。 19、头目诸疾（眼疾，风气头痛，头昏目眩等）。用荆芥穗为末。每服三钱，酒送下。 20、小腹急痛，癃闭不通。用荆介、大黄，等分为末。每服三钱，温水磅下。小便不通者，大内用量减半；大便不通者荆芥用量减半。此方名“倒换散”。 附方荆芥的功用是祛风解表，清热散瘀，破结块，消痈毒。李时珍称它是风病、血病、疮病的要药。 Mint 释名菝活、蕃荷菜、吴菝活、南薄荷、金钱薄荷。 气味（茎叶）辛、温、无毒。 主治1、清上化普（利咽膈，治风热）。用薄荷研细，加炼蜜和成丸子，如芡子大。每次噙含一丸。用白沙糖调丸亦可。 2、眼睑红烂。用薄荷在生姜中浸一夜，取出晒干，研为末，每取残，泡热激发中洗眼。 3、瘰疬。用新薄荷二斤，捣烂取汁，皂荚一个，水浸去皮，黑牵牛（半生半炒）各一两，皂荚仁一两半，一起捣烂，做成丸子，如梧子大。每服三十丸，煎连翘汤送下。 4、鼻血不止。用薄荷汁滴入鼻中，或以干薄葆水煮，棉球裹汁塞鼻。 5、血痢不上。用薄葆叶煎汤常服。 6、火毒成疮。用薄荷煎汁随时涂搽。 附方薄荷能消风散热，也能引热外出，故治骨蒸痨（肺结核）、小儿惊狂、大热等下，常用它作为引药。 Sue 释名紫苏、赤苏、桂荏。 气味（茎、叶）辛、温、无毒。 主治1、伤寒气喘。用紫苏一把加水三升煮成一升，慢慢饮用。 2、劳复食复。用紫苏叶煮汁二升饮下。亦可加生姜、豆豉同煮。 3、霍乱用满。用能吐，用生紫苏捣成汁服，或用干紫苏煮汁服亦可。 4、九伤出血不止。用嫩紫苏叶加桑叶一起，捣烂敷贴伤处。 5、跌伤出血。用紫苏捣烂敷伤处，伤口自合。又方：用陈紫苏圳蘸伤处流出的血揉烂敷伤。血不成脓，愈后亦无瘢痕。 6、疯狗咬伤。用紫苏叶嚼烂敷伤口。 7、乳痈肿痛。和紫苏煎汤，随进服下，另取紫苏捣烂敷痛处。 8、咳嗽气短。用紫苏茎叶二钱、人参一钱，水一杯，煎服。 附方苏子：是紫苏的果实。The smell is pungent, warm and non-toxic.苏子与苏叶功用相， 发散风气，宜用叶；清得止下，宜用子。苏子可治： 1、顺气利肠。用紫苏子、麻子仁，等分研烂，水滤取汁，同米一起煮稀饭吃。 2、风湿脚气。用紫苏子，高良姜、桔皮，等分为末，加蜜做成丸子，如梧子大。每服十丸，空
