Chapter 5 Fragment of the Berlin Wall

There was a culture on the Berlin Wall that is now in fragments. Since some citizens of the GDR dug a few big holes on the east side of the Berlin Wall to allow people from East and West Berlin to come and go freely, the Berlin Wall began to become a ruin of history.Berliners flocked to the Wall, hammering and anviling a few fragments of the wall to treasure as souvenirs of historical relics. On the west side of the Berlin Wall, there is a culture. There are pictures and words covered with oil on it, and some places even overlap layers, constantly updating the creation. But on the east side of the Berlin Wall, there is nothing but blankness.

Today, the pictures and words on the west side of the Berlin Wall are hammered to pieces.Who knows how much these fragments with their various oils will be worth decades or centuries from now?Today, a piece as big as a palm is sold for ten West German marks, who knows how much it will appreciate in the future? In addition, delicate earrings and brooches made from tiny fragments have been sold in front of the Berlin Wall. It's not hard to imagine that there will be an increasing variety of works of art made from fragments of the Berlin Wall. People flock to the Wall in a celebratory mood, strolling or knocking on pieces. For Berliners, this seems to be the best Christmas gift of the year. However, I came across a beautiful piece of prose written on a large wooden tablet on the west side of the Berlin Wall at the famous Brandenburg Gate. The above text warns people that "The Berlin Wall has been dug up, but this is not accompanied by triumphant songs, only bitter thoughts brought about by heavy memories." Why do people always want to build high walls to isolate people in this world? open? Why do people use all kinds of political ideologies to knock humanity into pieces? Is it only in the political field that there are Berlin Walls?

It is thought-provoking that the Berlin Wall, which separates people geographically, physically, and psychologically, was built by a political ideal that advocates the liberation and happiness of all human beings. This phenomenon is by no means merely ironic.Happily, the myth is now reduced to fragments within its veil, and these fragments are mingled with the physical and spiritual fragments of countless living people. The Berlin Wall culture is a symbol of human shame, and the fragments of the Berlin Wall are also memory symbols of human shame. As a work of art, fragments of the Berlin Wall are very unique. What they imply or contain are not the joy of human beings, but the filth and sorrow that can never be washed away by human beings that can never be washed away.

The Berlin Wall is by no means a phenomenon that only appeared in Germany. It is nothing but the agglomeration of various tangible and intangible forms of isolation and denigration of the human body that exist everywhere in the world. The Berlin Wall was made of steel and cement, which means that modern technology can build the raw materials for a wall that separates and denigrates people.Walls are everywhere and everywhere in this world. As an ordinary symbol, the Berlin Wall has more than just political meaning. The only thing that can penetrate the wall that separates and denigrates the person is love.Sadly, however, love itself is now in pieces, and often even a kind of wall.Human love is not God's love.As soon as human love is separated from the self-sacrificing love of God, it must be broken into pieces.Isn't this our reality?

I also went to the Berlin Wall and hammered out a few fragments and put them away. For me, what I collect is not only the Berlin Wall itself, but also the world itself, the era itself, and even myself. Both the world and myself are fragments—fragments painted with various paints. When I knocked off a few fragments and put them away, I thought I was looking for myself.
