Chapter 31 Chapter 02

The next afternoon Min went to Dek with the revised draft and met him at school. When he saw Min, the first thing he said was, "What tricks did you have last night?" Min blushed, unable to find a word to answer, and after a while, she spoke away with other words. De didn't notice this, he just said: "Why didn't you come in the morning? I've been waiting for you for a long time." Min easily found the words of explanation, and there was still the shadow of Hui in his eyes. The two walked into the small room where De lived together.A wooden bed, a broken table, and a pile of old books are the furnishings in the room.

"When did Hui leave this morning?" De suddenly asked while discussing the draft. "Eight O'clock." "I don't believe it," De said skeptically. "I don't have to lie to you," Min replied solemnly. After a while, De put down the draft again, and said to Min calmly, "Min, you have to be careful, Hui is very powerful, don't be fooled by her." Min solemnly replied: "I have nothing to do with her, what do you mean by saying that? Then why did you leave last night?" There was still a shadow of Hui in his eyes. "You shouldn't have let her sleep with you last night at all," De said with a smile on his face.

The two continued to discuss the draft, which didn't take long. But Hui came in, along with a female student named Ying. "Hui, let me ask you, what time are you going home this morning?" De saw Hui, put away the draft and asked. "Ten o'clock," Hui said without thinking.Min looked at her in surprise and tried to stop her, but it was too late.He blushed immediately. De silently lowered his face, stood up and walked outside, as if he didn't pay attention to Hui's answer. "As soon as we came, you left, why?" Hui asked him with a smile, a little unnatural expression appeared on her face.

"I have something to do, so I don't have time to play with you." De replied rudely and left. "But Ying has something to tell you, and she came to see you especially," Hui said, rushing out to call De.At this time, Ying also crossed the threshold and came out. De stopped, saw the shadow and asked, "What's the matter?" "I've finished reading the book you gave me. I want to borrow some other books," Ying said with the modesty of a girl.A smile played on her lips. "Okay, I'll find someone to bring it to you tomorrow...do you understand?" He said with a smile.

"I understand the general idea, and she has already explained to me what I don't understand," Ying looked back at Hui when he spoke. "Okay," he said this simple word, turned around and left with a nod, and quickly entered another room. Min came out of the room, patted Hui on the shoulder lightly and said in a low voice, "Hui, I have something to tell you." So the two left Ying and went outside. After half an hour, De finished the draft and came out, passed by his own room, opened the door and went in, saw the shadow inside, and said in surprise: "You haven't left yet? Alone. Where did they go?" "

"I'm waiting for you," Ying replied timidly, "I have something to do." Her oval face seemed to be piled up with black clouds, her eyebrows were tightly knit together, and she looked pitiful, the same as before completely different. "What?" De's voice softened. "My father won't let me study, he wants me to go home and get married," she said in a complaining voice, standing up. "In this way, everything is over." She seemed to be about to cry. De was at a loss for words. But a strange feeling grew in him, which he couldn't tell: sympathy, pity, or something else.

"I really don't want to go home, I don't want to..." She wanted to say a few more times that she didn't want to, but she was overwhelmed by grief, and she buried her head so that he couldn't see her face. "If you don't go back, you definitely won't go back." De said angrily, he was very unhappy. "Misery never ends. We're too slow." He strode across the room, which was so small that it held him like a cage. "Hui persuaded me to resist, but I have no ability, and I love my mother..." Ying continued as if asking for help. Her voice was as weak as a gossamer. At this time, she obviously lost her mind.

Outside the window, the students in the courtyard were chatting and laughing happily. Those crisp voices flew in the spring air and entered this small room, adding to De Heying's distress. De's face turned blue with anger, and his eyes turned red with anger. He felt as if the room had collapsed, and it was all on him, and he couldn't move.He shook his body vigorously, clenched his fist and put it on the table, and said loudly, "You must not go back. We have a solution." Ying raised his head to look at him in surprise, not knowing what his intentions were. After a while she said timidly, "Hui told me to move to her place, and she advised me not to live in the school."

"This is also a way," De said, "in short, we will help you." "But mother..." Shadow spoke of her mother in an affectionate tone. "Mother, leave her alone. She will die soon. You have no reason to sacrifice yourself for your mother." De said firmly, as if a magistrate was pronouncing the death sentence of the accused, who was the previous generation. "I can't think like that, maybe I'm too weak," she argued humbly. "Maybe my old habits are very deep... I don't know if you want someone like me? I have no ability at all. I really want to work with you." She looked at him earnestly. The sadness on her face gradually faded.

"Then you should be strong in the future. We naturally welcome you. We welcome anyone." De was a little happy, and there was a smile on his face. "Okay, you decide to move to Hui's place. Don't worry about family affairs. We will find something for you." He stood up and wanted to go out, so Ying had to leave. "Ying, let me tell you, I'm always happy to see one more young man rebelling against the family and the old society," De said gruffly. He moved his slender body and smiled with satisfaction. De sent Ying out, talking some words of encouragement along the way.At the foot of the big banyan tree in the square in front of the school, Min and Hui stood there talking.Hui's body was leaning against the tree trunk, half of her face was covered by loose black hair, a short black skirt was exposed under the blue plaid blouse, and her two healthy-colored wrists moved from time to time.Seeing De, she smiled at him from a distance, her bright eyes were as sharp as steel knives.

"Hui does have some magical powers." Thinking of this, De felt Hui's face pressing down on him.But he immediately shook his body, as if to shake off this terrible shadow. Min stood beside Hui, and when he saw De, he called out.Yingben left, but Hui called back. "There will be a student meeting tomorrow night, Ying, you must attend," Hui said in Ying's ear. A ray of red glowed on Ying's cheeks, and she saw other strange sights amidst the excitement. She said yes. The school bell is ringing, the last class is over. Then a group of young students ran out from inside.
