叶佳修曾经长期担任唱片公司音乐总监与制作人,在金韵奖停办之后,他担任了11届大学城大专音乐比赛的评委。后来,叶佳修在温哥华还和内地导演一起汇集一些来自中国内地的孩子,创作舞台剧,全部作品由叶佳修创作,由这帮孩子们演唱的歌曲汇集成《叶佳修在北纬50度》这张专辑。 1987年,台湾大学机械系三年级学生蔡蓝钦推出了他第一张也是最后一张创作专辑《这个世界》。专辑中蔡蓝钦包揽了绝大部分词曲创作,制作人是楼文中,最早由飞碟发行。在这些作品中,蔡蓝钦表达了他对教育制度的不满与反讽,对人生的思考与彷徨,以及青春无悔的爱恋。就在专辑刚刚完成配唱后不久,蔡蓝钦就因休克导致心脏麻痹而告别了这个世界。一个没露面就去世的创作,只靠广告、新闻稿、播歌和没有歌手的音乐录影带,《这个世界》破十五万张的销售成绩,名列年度十大,如这张专辑的营销策划、台湾音乐人陈乐融所说:"绝对不是清新质朴这样简单的字眼可以一笔带过的。"个人认为,《这个世界》才是民歌运动的真正挽歌,在校园歌曲已淡出的四年之后。这不仅因为蔡蓝钦的离世,而是因为,那是一个来自学生的真正意义上的创作,是一个意气风发的台湾少年,而且,绝不再现。 在廖莹如所写的纪念文章中,她说:"蔡蓝钦是幸运的,留下的传奇故事多半因为没有真正的答案,充满无限可能的揣想附会,甚至于因为人们对往生者敬畏,不会有任何负面的断言。他昂扬的骨气,从歌曲里娓娓地告诉我们,我是这么想的,幸运的地方就在于追究这个人的传奇,请从他的歌曲中找到你要的答案,一百年后还会有无限可能的答案。"ForeverYoung是蔡蓝钦最喜欢的歌曲,他始终停留在22岁情人节那一天,而且,永远年轻。
