Jesus the Son of Man 纪伯伦 567Words 2018-03-18
I was a stranger in Jerusalem.I came to this holy city to see the majestic temples and to sacrifice at the altar, because my wife bore two twin sons to the tribe. After offering the sacrifices, I stood on the verandah of the main hall, looking down at the money merchants and the hawkers selling pigeons as sacrifices, and what passed to my ears was the roaring noise in the yard. I was standing like this when suddenly a man came among the money merchants and pigeon sellers. He looked dignified and walked quickly. He had a sheepskin rope in his hand, and he began to overturn the tables of the money merchants and beat the bird sellers with the rope.

I also heard him yelling, "Put these birds back in the sky to their own nests." Men and women fled before him, and he drove them like a whirlwind over sand dunes. All this happened in an instant. After a while, the money merchant and others were all driven out of the courtyard of the main hall, only the man stood alone, and his followers were some distance away from him. I turned around and saw another person standing on the porch, and I went up to him and asked, "Sir, who is this lonely man standing like a temple?" He replied, "He's Jesus of Nazareth, a new prophet from Galilee. Everyone here in Jerusalem is rooting for him."

I said, "My heart is strong enough to bear his whip; and lean enough to crawl under his feet." Jesus turned and walked towards his followers who were waiting for him. Before he had gone a few steps, three doves from the temple flew back, one landed on his left shoulder, and the other two landed at his feet.He stroked each pigeon gently, then strode forward. Please tell me, by what power did he disperse hundreds of men and women without any resistance?I heard that they all loved him, but no one stood up to him that day.Could it be that he had already pulled out their hatred teeth on the way to the temple courtyard?
