Chapter 9 Bride Ravka

This happened before he was known. I was pruning roses in my mother's garden that day when he stopped by our door. He said, "I'm thirsty, would you please give me some well water?" I ran to fetch the silver cup and filled it with water.I poured a few drops of jasmine water from the vase into the cup. He took a swig and was very happy. Then he looked me in the eye and said, "I want to bless you." When he said this, I seemed to feel a gust of wind blowing inside me.I was no longer shy, and I said, "Sir, I am engaged to a young man from Galilee, next Thursday, will you come to our wedding, please?"

I stood there by the garden gate until my mother called me into the house. Then next Thursday, people welcomed me to the groom's house for the wedding. The actors sang of the amorous boy who brought his lover into the tent; of the young vineyard gardener who fell in love with the owner's daughter and took her to his mother; , crowning her with the ancestral crown...Jesus listens to the songs.

At the same time, he seemed to be listening to other songs that I couldn't hear. At sunset, the groom's father approached Jesus' mother and whispered, "We have no wine for our guests, but the wedding feast is not over yet." Jesus heard his whisper and said, "The cupbearer knows that there is still plenty of wine." Sure enough, there was a lot of good wine at the wedding banquet, and the guests drank to their heart's content until the banquet was over. Soon, Jesus started talking to us.He talked about the wonders of heaven and earth, about the flowers of the sky that bloom when night falls on the earth, and of the flowers of the earth that bloom when day hides the stars.

He told us stories and fables, and his voice enchanted us, and we looked at him as if in visions, and forgot the cups and plates at the wedding feast. I listened to his speech, as if I was in a distant and unknown land. Later, one of the guests said to my groom's father, "Unlike other hosts, you save the best wine for the end of the banquet." All believed that Jesus had performed a miracle; and all believed that they should have rejoiced at the end of the wedding feast with more and better wine. I also think that Jesus added the wine, but I am not surprised, because I heard many miracles in his speech.

From then on, his words were really engraved in my heart, and I still haven't forgotten them after giving birth to my first child. To this day, people in this village and neighboring villages still remember the words of our distinguished guest.They say, "The spirit of Jesus of Nazareth is the finest and most mellow wine."
