Chapter 8 Joanna, wife of Herod's steward

Jesus was never married, but he was a friend of women and he knew them like a close companion. He loves children with trust and understanding. His gaze is not only the gaze of the father, but also the gaze of the brother and the son. He would hold the child on his lap and say, "From this is your strength and your freedom, and from this is your spiritual kingdom." One day, when I was meeting with my lover, a group of Sadducees suddenly broke into my house. They caught me, but my lover left me and ran away. Then they took me to the street market where Jesus was preaching. They purposely brought me before him in order to tempt and trap him. Yet Jesus didn't judge me, he humiliated the people who wanted to humiliate me, he rebuked them and let me go. Henceforth all the tasteless fruits of life are sweet to my taste, and the scentless flowers smell sweet.I am free from the memory of humiliation, I am free, I am no longer downcast.
