Chapter 46 In the coming year, will the Yamazakura still be in bloom? (44)

On the wall in front of my desk, there is a picture of Li Keran's "Spring Blossoms Brilliant as the Clouds", in which a shepherd boy sits on the back of a cow, staring at the brilliant spring flowers.Whenever I get tired of writing, I look up at the shepherd boy and the spring flowers he is looking at. The fun of "I'm looking at the people in the painting looking at the flowers" often makes me feel very interested. I have also seen such a brilliant flower like the rosy clouds, that is the winter mountain cherry in Qingquan, Hsinchu. The pink and delicate flowers, reflecting the misty green hills, are as bright as spring flowers.

A few years ago, I went on a winter outing with my friends. The destination was to watch the fog. I set off from Taichung and stayed overnight in Qingquan. We walked through the misty mountain road, watching the layers of emerald mountains flickering all the way, and the scarlet cherry standing in the cold wind and drizzle, smiling at every turn. When we arrived at Qingquan, Lin Nei was electing the village head, and there was an atmosphere of joy and encouragement in the aboriginal tribe.Soon, the sound of firecrackers sounded in the silent mountain forest, and the white smoke accompanied by mountain mist slowly floated towards the little cherry blossoms in the twilight.

We walked across several suspension bridges, looking for Sanmao's hermit's hut, and the place where Zhang Xueliang was under house arrest.Although I haven’t found it, but standing on the valley bridge surrounded by mountains, looking back at the houses with red walls and white tiles scattered among the mountains, and the church with a cross, I can’t help but think of Passau, Germany, which has a similar scenery. Dusty and moving. It was night, we lived in the Catholic Church, the night in the mountains was extremely cold, and in the morning we could only see the vast expanse... At this time, we learned that the father of our companion had passed away unexpectedly, so we had to leave Qingquan in a hurry.I thought to myself, this unfinished journey will continue in the future.

Unexpectedly, Typhoon Aere in September 2004 caused a large amount of landslides to rush towards Qingquan, destroying the beautiful mountains and rivers and causing heavy casualties. The trip to Qingquan has become my unfinished dream. The relics of Sanmao and Zhang Xueliang, along with the landslides, wandered forever into the distance, and truly entered history. What about the mountain cherry blossoms that bloom in the wind?I'm afraid it has long been buried in the ground. Doesn't this just confirm what the Buddhist scriptures say: "The world is impermanent, and the country is fragile"?

The world is originally "formation, stasis, decay, and emptiness". Nature will eventually be corrupted. Human beings have no choice but to cherish it more and prolong its lifespan. But this simple truth is not easy to implement. If we can truly realize that human beings are closely related to nature, and what nature gives us is far beyond our imagination, then we will truly cherish it! "After the crimson cherry blossoms are gone, winter will end and spring will come," winter will pass, and spring will come, but can we make the mountain cherry blossoms in this land bloom every year?So that future generations can also watch the mountain cherry blossoms in the cold wind and wait for the news of spring?
