Chapter 39 The beautiful hibiscus fence comes from intentional weaving, and practice also requires intentionality (37)

It was an accident to find that row of beautiful scorpions. That evening, we walked towards the tree-lined path of Baiqi Village as usual, joking about "is it plantain or horse plantain" along the way, and the sand and gravel trucks whizzed up one after another behind us, flying dust and polluting the originally clean place. Air, we had to take another downhill path, the one that had never been taken before. The road seems to have no end. It turns around a hut hidden in the bushes, passes through several fruit trees, and then circles a green meadow. Road, I don't know where it leads? But we were not flustered at all, because the evening wind made our bodies cool, the birds were singing on the branches, and occasionally the farmers greeted us kindly.

As I walked, the sound of the water became clearer, did I come to the stream? As we looked around, we found ourselves in a small courtyard, a farm house, and the end of the road. The host and his son who came back from the city were about to send fruit for delivery, and the hostess had just returned from picking tea in Meishan. The whole family greeted us uninvited guests warmly. The hostess even picked bright red lychees from the lychee tree in front of the house and stuffed them into our hands. The taste was really delicious! What amazed us the most was the font-shaped fence in front of the court, which was woven from the stems of a hibiscus tree, and the green leaves of hibiscus trees were intertwined in an orderly manner on each section of the wooden fence, which is simply a work of art!

We ask how is this made up?The male host said that every year when new stems grow, they will be edited sequentially, that's all! That's one of the most beautiful fences I've ever seen. I didn't expect to see such a beautiful view when I walked another road that I had never walked before! After I came back, I also found a hibiscus plant inside the wall of the temple, but this hibiscus that has not been "woven" has long branches that shoot out in all directions, some stick out of the wall, and some hang down to the ground. It shows its rebelliousness. The difference between the two hibiscus trees lies in whether they are woven or not, but they show completely different styles.Doesn't practice require "attention" - to be vigilant and put your heart somewhere in order to achieve something?

Persistence in good dharmas and elimination of afflictions require "attentiveness". If you follow the flow of afflictions, you will not know where to go.I think it is still necessary to train our minds to correspond to good dharmas from time to time, and to observe and reverse our bad thoughts and behaviors. As a result of living carelessly, one's practice will stop at the same place, just like the hibiscus tree that has not been woven, it is impossible to have a beautiful fence. When we went, the hibiscus on the fence hadn't bloomed, and I really wanted to see the hibiscus flowers on the fence.Next time, I will still choose the sparsely populated path.
