Chapter 19 which heroes are idiots

happy diary 蔡康永 2531Words 2018-03-18
I never liked those heroes in middle school textbooks.Yue Fei, Wen Tianxiang, so these people who persisted in confronting the tough and finally met the iron plate. What dream are they chasing after all? Who did they bring happiness to? The heroes in these textbooks are really out of tune with our lives. What they say and do can't give us any inspiration in life. The dignity they demonstrate seems to be angry with life, and their choices at critical moments are full of self-destruction.They are loyal to a regime that everyone can't understand, and finally forced themselves to die inexplicably.

No middle school student who has a longing for life would want to get close to them and be friends with them. They are not my heroes. They probably aren't your heroes either. Your heroes may be Huang Rong, Sherlock Holmes, Mari Ling Tanaka, The Beatles, Bill Gates, Mother Teresa. Of course, a lot of my childhood heroes were found in novels, movies, news, and comics. But there's another hero's fair that few other people my age seem to share with me— I started watching a lot of Ping dramas when I was a child. The characters in Pingju dramas are not all heroes and villains who are willing to be kind and vengeful. In addition, there are many characters who have come out of home life, which opened my eyes. I saw so many grievances and helplessness in life for the first time in my ignorance. There are so many hidden joys, unspeakable pains, so many irrepressible desires and dreams.

Of course I love to watch Sun Wukong, who fights 24 hours a day and makes troubles all year round, and I like to watch General Luotong fight with his intestines. But what touched me was another battle. I saw in the Water Margin story, Xi Xijiao was dazzled by love, turned against her "gold master" Song Jiang, even stole evidence of Song Jiang's association with the underworld, and used it to threaten Song Jiang to divorce, but was killed by Song Jiang. More shocking things are behind. Yan Xijiao, who was killed, had no way to forget the man she truly loved, and finally returned to the mortal world as a ghost, and had a terrifying and stern tenderness with her lover again. Turning around, carrying the lover on the back, when the female ghost calls, the lover is dying to answer, just like this step by step, calling and answering, the female ghost carries the lover to hell as a companion.

When I was a teenager, I had never seen such a strange scene in love. The shock I received made me slowly realize that the most helpless part of life may be the most powerful part of life. I have seen this kind of out-of-control power erupted by life's last resort in Pingju dramas again and again. I saw Qin Xianglian pursue the bitter Chen Shimei all the way, and what she got in the end was the justice that made her heartbroken: a Chen Shimei who was cut into two pieces by Bao Gong. I also saw a white snake trying its best to be an ordinary woman for an ordinary man who really has nothing. However, the laws of heaven cannot tolerate such presumptuous delusion, forcing the white snake to commit murder and flood the entire temple with water.

"They are so tough! But they are also very poor." I couldn't help thinking. "Where did their strength come from?" For a person in middle school, this is not so much a confusion as it is gradually becoming a belief—— People have many unpredictable last resorts, and people also have many unpredictable forces. When this power explodes, life will have unpredictable and wonderful meanings. Not necessarily happy, but wonderful. I began to secretly believe this. Sure enough, in the following life, I experienced many unhappy but wonderful moments and met many unhappy but wonderful people.

Makes me feel very gracious. I'm also thankful that I didn't miss out on these moments, these people, out of fear of being in an unhappy relationship. The characters in our textbooks often compete who has more desires. One time it was Yan Hui who ate and drank very little, the other time it was Zhuge Liang who was writing "Teacher's Watch" with snot and tears; Everyone is "sacrificing the small self", but unfortunately, we don't really recognize the "big self" they fulfilled. I actually admire Confucius very much. I like his behavior and many words he said. Even the words "One can be strong without desire" are very concise and powerful wisdom.

It's a pity that many fools who think they respect and love Confucius dress up Confucius as an irreversible and incense-filled great sage.He didn't introduce much of what he said in order to convey the joy of life. On the contrary, he repeatedly quoted what he said to others, which made everyone feel that he was annoying enough. What is even more inappropriate is to force us, who are being scolded all day long, to memorize these scolding words, word by word. It's hard for us not to hate Confucius, isn't it? Fortunately, I did not hate Confucius because of this.Because I read about his desires, his dreams.

In order to try his idea of governing the country, he summoned dozens of students who still believed in him and wandered among the countries with him. Just thinking about bathing for a group of them is enough to cause a headache, not to mention encountering bandits when there is nothing to do, and sometimes wandering into the international war zone by mistake, unable to move, and have no food for several days. Confucius was willing to endure these hardships, of course, because of his expectations for himself, his large-scale dreams, and his desire to influence others. Such a Confucius, when he said the words "one can be strong without desire", should be more "sentimental" than "training others"?Should it be the tone of "If I can have no desire, then I must be the Invincible Iron King Kong"?

Once Confucius is untied from the "most holy" cross and let him be a human being with us, he will be much more lovable at once. Admit that Confucius had desires, admit that we have desires.Don't feel guilty or afraid of desires, only then can you live vigorously. Of course, there are many characters in Pingju dramas who can't live without strength. Usually, as long as the character is a god, there's not much strength— Zhu Bajie is very energetic, he is basically a "one-man demonstration big band of desire".Sun Wukong also has vitality, and his wildness is difficult to tame. But as soon as the camera turns to look like heaven, all kinds of dull and expressionless gods will appear on the stage, from the smallest official Tudi Gong to the Jade Emperor. As soon as they appear on the stage, the atmosphere immediately cools down. very simple.

These gods have neither desires nor dreams, and they come on stage either to tell stories, or to put on a few good-looking poses, how could they not cool down when the drama is played on them? Of course, in the play, there are also quite a few gods, who appeared with great momentum when they appeared on the stage, and thunderbolt and lightning when they shot.Like Erlangshen who carries a local dog with him, and Wei Tuo who always holds a demon pestle, they can fight fiercely with monsters. However, they still look boring because they "fight for no reason".They are like "Robocops in ancient costumes", who are in charge of fighting, and they will leave after the fight, and they don't even have anything to say.

When I was young, looking at their beautiful golden faces and beautiful weapons, I couldn't help but sigh: "What a waste, dressing up so beautifully...but living so rigidly..." If it was life, who would be willing to play such a boring role all the time? A life without desires is frighteningly empty! I probably gained some immunity from watching the theater, and I no longer regard desire as something detrimental to dignity. I learned to recognize the source of the heat in my life, that pain may be more precious than pleasure, and that I learned to appreciate the beauty of a futile life. I also understand some principles that seem timeless. This principle drives all people to live, ancient people or contemporary people, mythical people or realistic people—— As human beings, if we are inferior, it is because our desires are inferior. If we are noble, it is because our desires are noble. Civilization shows us taste, and the function of this taste is to allow us to distinguish whether desire is inferior or noble. But it does not teach us to become people without desires. Without desire, I am afraid that we can only become dull instead of gaining wisdom. Going to the theater, of course, is not a great education. It's just that the school education I have encountered is too ridiculous in comparison, and it evades responsibility too much.
