Chapter 4 Combat Deployment in the Central Plains and Northwest China

The deployment is as follows:

A. In the first stage, (1) Liu and Deng assembled considerable forces, Suyu had three columns (not including the fourth column), Chen Xie had no less than five brigades, and Yu Ziyou (twenty-five days) before the rest and training were completed; Afterwards, the two armies of Su Yu and Chen Xie were unified under the command of Su, and moved from the current place to the border of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi, and captured Nanyang, Zhenping, Neixiang, Zhechuan, Dengxian, Xinye, Xiangyang, Fancheng, Yicheng, Nanyang and Nanyang. Zhang, Guanghua[3], Laohekou, Gucheng, Junxian[4], Yunyang, Xiping, Lushi, Shangnan, and Shangxian towns, wiped out the enemies in the area with cameras and attracted Bai Chongxi[5]'s army The camera went west and wiped it out.When coordinating operations, Wang Hongkun and Zhao Jimei [6] were under the command of Su (the two columns mainly focused on dispersing guerrillas). (4) The main force of Pengzhang (eight brigades) has completed its rest this month, and at the beginning of next month it will attack the Yan'an and Yichuan lines (there are seven brigades of the Hu[8] Army on this line), and after they succeed, they will move to the south of the line and the Weishui River Attack from the north with the aim of establishing the Weibei base area (this area is a springboard for moving to the south of Longnan to establish a base area along the Gansu-Shaanxi River).

B. In the second stage, the Su and Chen-Xie tribes rested for a period of time in the Henan-Hubei-Shaanxi border area, and then the Chen-Xie tribe moved to Weinan, and the three Su, Chen and Tang columns plus one column moved to the north, and captured Zhengzhou and Tongguan. Each town, annihilate the enemy on that line.Liu Deng rested and fought at the scene. Chen Suzhi's 8th, 10th, and 11th Columns still obeyed the original mission and prepared to transfer the 2nd and 7th Columns from Shandong to northern Jiangsu to fight. After the establishment of the Central China Branch, the two columns were under the command of Chen Su.
