Chapter 114 Everyone has "land power", and the more you exercise, the stronger you get

Recently, the term (probably coined by Takahashi Shunsuke) has become a buzzword, and various books on the "land power" learning method have become bestsellers. Here, I want to let everyone know what I think of "land power". Di Tou means "a mind that is born with it", so when encountering any difficulties, some people will think "the land is not good, there is no way" and choose to give up.However, this place can get better after exercise. According to the method I have always advocated - if you continue to practice "thinking" from an early age, your ground strength will continue to increase.Through the "〇X-style education", the ability to think has not been fully developed, but if you can think about some things often, this process will naturally be formed, and the ground force will become better. This is how the human intelligent brain is formed.

Land power is actually "the ability to control the thinking process". When I was at McKinsey, I interviewed many job candidates, and one of the questions I would always ask was: "What did you do in high school besides studying?" Why am I asking about high school?Because there is plenty of time in college, it is only natural to spend time doing things that are interesting or meaningful to you.But most of the students in high school spend their time on study, and most of the students study blindly in order to get into top universities. That's why I asked about my high school days.

If someone answered "I have traveled all over Japan by bicycle", I would think "this guy is really good" and put him on the candidate list.Because if he can use his own brain to think, plan, and circle around Japan in the face of the huge pressure of the exam, it proves that he has the ground. I also ask questions like: "If you were to be commissioned by the railway company in Tanzania to do a job, if you were to take a backpack and leave tomorrow, what would you pack in it?" People with excellent academic performance produced by exam-oriented education will think "Where is Tanzania?"Because I usually rely on the knowledge in books, I can't answer if I don't know. Then he prevaricated and said, "I want to bring games, and I also want to bring books."

However, someone who will come in handy in the future will say something like: "Although I don't remember the exact location of Tanzania, allow me to answer this question as if it is a country in the interior of Africa. If the backpack can hold 20 kg If something..." I am not testing the knowledge of the interviewees with this question, but to examine their way of thinking. This is very important. Talents who can think with their own minds will first use the conditions they can think of to communicate with the interviewer to confirm the consistency of the conditions of both parties. That is to say, such examinees want to narrow down the range of answers by listing prerequisites such as "the capacity of the backpack is 20 kilograms" one by one, and finally get the answer.Such an answer is also clear and accessible to the listener.

Although the actual working conditions will be different from those assumed, this type of person adapts well to change anyway. In my words, this is a talent with a "unique" idea. People with good ground strength refer to those who know how to use their minds to find steps to solve problems and get closer to the correct answer even if they do not have the corresponding knowledge. However, children who grow up under the Japanese education system become unable to think, and they do not know how to solve problems without the corresponding knowledge. When children solve problems, it is like doing a guessing game, or choose "〇" or "X", or solve the problem if they want to.This state will not create any results for the society, because they can only guess wildly without knowing it, which is actually very dangerous.

If you have children, please don't expect education reforms that are not progressing at all. I hope you will use your wisdom to exercise your children's ability.
