Chapter 33 Telling the truth will attract people's suspicion

Over the years, I've pointed out a lot of things that don't live up to their name. Take an example I saw in a magazine, about 10 years ago, the barrels were from Bulgaria, so we can't call it pure Tokachi wine; also, there are onions from Awaji Island , actually come from China; the asparagus, potatoes, and broccoli in Hokkaido are actually produced in Queensland, Australia... Every time I write something like this, I get criticized. However, I am not talking nonsense, but evidence-based, so when I show evidence, these people shut up. That's it, every time I try to uncover the truth about something that's been hidden, I always get threatened.

Now that the world has developed into a stage of global integration, it does not make much sense to discuss the origin of goods, even food.My way of thinking is completely opposite to theirs. For example, some companies regard Toyooka as the best production place in the world for unified production, which is a way of operating to adapt to globalization. I think this is a good thing.Consumers benefit from lower prices. The problem is that if the price is low, it will be considered as foreign-made, so the price is raised to make huge profits, but this is unfair to consumers. This is the same as the high-end restaurant shipyard Ji Zhao. They use meat from other origins to make "Tajima Beef Cuisine", but claim to the outside world that it is beef from Kyushu. The relevant departments must severely punish this behavior.

But for this kind of behavior, the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries are acquiescing. In order to deceive the WTO, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries cannot get away from the matter of importing poisonous rice. After the reselling of poisonous rice was exposed, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries fell into the quagmire of scandal for a while. In the eyes of those officials, these things were done with the purpose of deceiving the people and other countries. As for the consequences, they didn't even think about it. At that time, no one stood up bravely to stop it.

In addition, the agricultural cooperatives, which are supposed to represent the interests of farmers in this matter, are also to blame. On the surface, agricultural cooperatives are helping farmers with a friendly face, but in fact they directly import rice from abroad, which seriously damages the interests of farmers. In the past, agricultural cooperatives only imported fertilizers, but now they start to directly import finished products. This is undoubtedly putting pressure on farmers in disguise. Now, with government organizations such as the agricultural cooperatives, the Japan Farmers Association, and the Japan Livestock Association, it may be more appropriate for us to regard them as for-profit companies. But if it is really possible to do so, I think it is a good thing, and it can even be said to be a more sensible approach.I hope they will stop doing this while flaunting that they are "protecting the interests of farmers".Instead of doing this, it is better to shout some slogans such as "protect the stomach of the people" and "import the best and cheapest products in the world".
